  1. Some neat stuff in there, none around me that I know of though.
  2. I looked it up the other day. The site is https://www.feeln.com/ it's owned by Hallmark and streams all their stuff from the two Hallmark Channels. You can search for shows, movies and so on at any point so you don't have to wait for it to be on. My m-i-l loves it, she said she has watched a ton on it.
  3. You can actually get the Hallmark Channel subscription. My m-i-l/f-i-l cut the cord also. We bought her a subscription to it this summer. Think it was like $30 for a year. She watches it all the times, they do all the Christmas movies on it.
  4. Only about a week away from Hallmark channel going 24x7 Christmas movies
  5. I have considered picking up one of the Surface Pro 3 or 4's I like gadgets and think it would be cool for some of the things I do and want to do while out and about or just sitting in the living room. I'm not a fan of the iPad or iPad pro to be honest just not real useful to me, I have an iPhone and it's just a bigger version of that. Now if they put MacOS (used to be OS X) then I would consider it as it would be an ultra portable laptop much like the surface pro. I just keep waiting for a really killer deal on a surface pro 3 or 4 since they are kind of expensive
  6. That's an awesome deal. I will have to watch if I see that deal I will be grabbing it.
  7. Ya I went into the crevices of this place and the basement and all it's hidden rooms and storage and back pathways. Was crazy and like I said creepy Shorcut's to the food are always good though. lol
  8. I switched my wife to one in I think 2009 and she is still using the same one today. Only changes to it have been that I added more memory and about a month or so ago I ended up putting a new battery in it for her (cost me about $30 on Amazon). It's still able to be updated to the latest OS (which is free) and still runs great. I'm considering getting her a new one and we will move hers to our daughter to play with. Wife wants a MacBook Air like I have. Whats great about them? Well it's not as targeted for viruses and such (still need to be smart about passwords and sites and still need virus software) but it's not as large a target as Windows machines. Not saying it's better or safer just saying it's not as big of a target. I like that for at least the last 3-4 versions the newer versions of the OS have been free. I like that the hardware is stable, I like that it does everything I need and for the most part much like windows I can find free software to do those tasks. I honestly think it comes down to what you want, Mac's in general will never be cheap it's not the market they aim for. Once you get to a good Windows Laptop the price difference won't be as great the hardware costs and no one gives it away free. They are overall very good quality machines. There are differences in how the OS works that sometimes make a lot of sense and other times I wonder why they did it. I still have a Windows Virtual Machine I run on it in case I need something that's only supported under windows.
  9. Ya I found the launch time odd. Why wouldn't you either push to make it for this holiday season or hold till the next. I'm sort of waiting to see some real life reviews on it. Not sure if me and my family are it's target audience, we have the Wii U and the Xbox One but this one I'm honestly not sure about. Being partial mobile I just don't see it having the hardware to have a truly great gaming experience. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  10. It's a good community here. Which is why I hang out all year long looking for deals.
  11. I would say you're likely to see some deals, though places like Sam's Club and other tend to have deals on the newer phones.
  12. Is that considered re-gifting?
  13. Seems to me all the better reason to shop on BF. Help those dollars go further. Get better deals and so forth. As I said in my previous post it's not the same anymore, but we have just changed some of our habits and we still go out every year and still end up having fun doing it. One year we even took our daughter and bought stuff for her without her realizing it was FOR her or for the most part know what it was we were buying. As times change we adapt but we make sure we keep our tradition alive and will do so for as long as we can continue to do some.
  14. The large bowl looks like it comes way up the beater shaft, I wonder how it is if you will the bowl. Does anyone local to you sell this model? If so you could look at it and see if it fit's your needs? This is actually the one we are thinking about getting to replace our current one and then ship that one off to my f-i-l. I would go with the better machine that will suit your needs, you can always get attachments later.
  15. To an extent you are probably not far off lol. Malls when they aren't fully open can be very creepy, especially you get in behind the scenes (I used to do tech work for a business in a mall so had to go back in the catacombs of the mall).
  16. Ya I'm pretty sure it was pretty late into the season when he suddenly showed up and then was gone soon after. Guess life has gotten in the way
  17. We don't ever finish early. We are usually still picking up things leading up to Christmas (yes that week). We always have a good start but we like to make BF a big part of it so we wait till that comes around to get a good portion of it done. The week of Christmas is usually just smaller things for each other though, we usually have each others larger gift so then we need to pick up small things.
  18. My wife loves ours. She like to bake so it has gotten a LOT of use over the years.
  19. Exactly, might be able to make it 4.5 if we just say it's pretty much just like last years.
  20. I've never been first but I've been close to the front at BestBuy. We ended up in line and there were a few campers ahead of us one year. They had been there at least a day or two from what I was hearing from them.
  21. We could have one that starts and then ends 5 mins later going over the awesome Harbor Freight ad lol.
  22. I think as long as you get one of the larger vendors you will get reliable. Apple, Samsung, Amazon should all be very dependable.
  23. This thread made me start thinking about some of the old stores. Looks like some of them are making comebacks. Montgomery Ward was bought by Swiss Colony and is now an online retailer. Looks like someone bought Circuit City (not the Tiger Direct name stuff) and is trying to reopen retail locations with it.
  24. Hmmmm how do I go about getting that huge stack of Amazon cards all in one box? I like the beanie, don't really wear ball caps myself but when it gets cold here that would be great.
  25. Very cool, Sam's has actually become one of my favorite online shopping experiences for BF while I'm up checking for things to be online
