We will most likely be looking for a good deal on a 50" or 55" to replace the 42" in our bedroom. Want to move that one off to the guest room or office area.

Where to get the best price on a Macbook
Kanyon71 replied to gracemarie's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
If you can deal with Refurb Apple has them on their online store, usually some decent deals (to the mac world) on there. Also Mac Mall usually has some good deals. -

Ya I planned on it lol, paying for a $275k supercar isn't in my budget. No problem. I'm glad it's working out for you. I was skeptical at first since I was never a big fan of Netgear but everything I read and had been told said they have improved a lot so I figured worst case I send it back for a refund and find something else. I have to this day been VERY pleased and am now a convert.

Here you go. They have them archived back to like 2007. http://www.blackfridayarchive.com/Ad/Staples/2014 -
CES is awesome, SOOOOOO many things to see and mess around with. I love reading the news about what everyone see's there. Inevitably I get annoyed since I JUST bought last years trinket on BF and I will need this years soon lol.

Hopefully whoever returned that with the wood in it was stupid and returned it without a receipt and had to show ID. Stores can track that stuff and one way or another (legal or karma) I hope they get what is most assuredly owed to them.

I was very surprised, I got an Autocross Package where I get to drive a Ferrari F430, I get to do this with my best friend and my brother in law. I also got a new jacket and a football jersey. Was a most excellent day. Best part was seeing the looks on my daughters face as she opened her gifts and then when she was tricked into stumbling across her last gift which was also her biggest hearing the squealing of joy coming from her made the day perfect.

I did 2 Top Sirloin Roasts (smoked them with a nice dry rub), mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots, corn, mac n cheese (from scratch), gravy, rolls and then lots of cookies and we had various dips we made for appetizers. Roast was outstanding, first time I have smoked one these and will NOT be the last.

Happy Holidays to you also. Be safe and enjoy your time off. I know I am enjoying mine so far.

I saw a listing for it and I remember seeing it being talked about on RAW one night when I caught it. Will have to add it to the DVR and see it.

Support usually isn't much of an issue, cable modem isn't that expensive as long as you don't walk into BB and get it. Took me about 5 months of cable modem rental fee's for mine to pay itself off. As for the power surge yes that's a real threat but all my equipment sits on a line filtering sine wave battery backup so it's fairly isolated (ya been in IT for 25 years I'm a geek lol). As far as the router portion I've only found one cable co who's stuff I didn't consider garbage and that was Verizon FiOS. Their solution was actually pretty good equipment and when I got them the rental was free. When I went to upgrade to their newer stuff they wanted a monthly fee but the customer service rep gave me the model information for the newest one and told me I could get it on ebay very reasonable. It's all in what you want out of your equipment and what it get's used for. Myself it was under 12 months of rental fee's from the cable co to break even so it was a good deal and I normally don't wan't/need their support people they tend to just ask me if it's plugged in lol.

Well the internet wasn't a big thing back then. If you were into BBS's then it was most likely ALL over them. People talking about how they bounced or spun and it caught on fire.

Gamestop has the Star Ware and Uncharted bundles for $299 also. I think a lot of them still have bundles left around the $299 mark so you should be able to get one with no issues.

I wonder in store how they know who is in what household?

My personal opinion, is they need to worry more about others and less about what they get. Getting anything at all is a privilege not a given. They are grown adults and I'm assuming they have their own careers. I know when I want something I go to the store and buy it with the money I earned. Yes I purposely used I many times. I think at the end of the day you should do what YOU think it right and if that's getting the younger one's a little something extra then that's what should be done. No one should be sore or expect anything in this world they should be grateful for what they did get. I have younger siblings (much younger) and it doesn't bother me one bit that they get things I don't or didn't.

I don't really see it happening with the large stores being open. I think the thing that will keep it from happening is minimal sales for a hefty cost of being open. Not only will they have to pay employees (most likely a premium wage) but they also have the cost of operating the store. Yes I think some people would shop I just don't see the rates being high enough to make it finalcially viable. I also predict that if sales keep going as they did this year you will see less brick and mortar being open on Thanksgiving. Whats the need for it if you can get them to buy online where the costs are lower thus the profits higher. I won't do it for many of the same reasons I won't go on Thanksgiving, large portion of those being family. They have always been and always will be family holiday's for me.

No I wouldn't. Only thing I can remember going for on Christmas day was gas on a longer drive and even that was spotty to find at one time.

You would think the cheaper things are and the nicer out it is the more people would want to go out shopping. I think a lot more shopping was done online this year I do believe that a good portion of people would rather shop online than go into the stores on Thanksgiving. I was honestly surprised that someone bought the Radioshack assets and kept some open. I figured they might go the way of Compusa and Circuit City where someone buys them for a name and they become a shell of what they were. I know this year we shopped at a lot less places than we normally do, we actually bought a few things at K-Mart they had some decent deals BUT it took forever to check out which is one thing that drives me nuts with them.
