Says he was online yesterday morning. Maybe he is just super busy this year?

I just read an article that says Mattel has officially delayed the Thing Maker to Fall 2017 in order to further enhance the printer and the application that comes with it. So looks like if you wanted one you're going to have to find something else to replace it for this year at least.
-
There was an earlier thread looking for someone to take it over this year due to other priorities.

When/why did you start BF shopping? Why do you still go now?

Well my family started to be like that but my wife and I decided we don't buy people gifts so that we get something in return, we buy them because we want to give them something from us. So we still shop for the people. It's part of the tradition so we march on. You should all at least have a Dirty Santa Gift Exchange. We did that one year (wife and I still bought presents for some people). Nothing quite like the look on their faces when they open something they have really really wanted. Sort of makes it all worth it. -
Hoverboard? I thought that they banned the import of all of them here now? Exploding batteries and such. I could very well be wrong. I know Segway just released a new one but they were pretty expensive from what I recall.
-
I know they were selling the Dremel 3D Printer. Last I saw I think it was right around $900. I didn't know they did it in store though. I just looked up the one I saw last year it was the da Vinci Jr at Barnes and Noble for $249. Reviews I looked up on it seemed pretty good. Now being a smaller one the size of the objects you print will be limited.

Yes that would be nice, almost bit on one of the deals last year but some other things became priority over that.

Those ancient Xbox Ones -
I'm hoping for a really good deal on a 50"-60" to put in our room. Wife keeps telling me the one in there isn't big enough now that we have the 70" in there.
-
Yes it's the Note 7. The fix for it is they aren't allowing the battery to charge above 60% for now. My guess is thats short term until they can get the battery issue itself ironed out.
-
Very nice. I'm sure he will love it.

Easy to use is sometimes a matter of personal ability. Many people find the iPhone easy to use, others find Android easy to use. I personally think it's all what you get used to using.

8 teams in 1 jacket? I have a couple friends who could use that I'm never sure which bandwagon they are on. (Only joking of course on the 8-in-1)

All the threads for the various things are now popping up, the call is out for people to help in posting ad's. It's beginning to look a lot like Black Friday time Threads are everywhere you go Soon people will be changing their avatars Soon ad's will be posted Oh look at them shine It's beginning to look a lot like Black Friday time

So would we, we miss our old house that had one. We just built this house last year though so it will be some time before we add one again lol.

My daughters list so far has included a Laptop, Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Baby Alive Doll that really eats. Mind you she is 5 so the first 3 made us laugh.

Wife uses WalMart Savings Catcher, outside of that we usually have the money in savings but we tend to use a points CC then once we are done we just pay that one off. Get some added bonuses out of that.

What do you think will be the "hot" items this year?
Kanyon71 replied to shopping4my3son's topic in 2016
They seem to have some deals on them, I know at least 3-4 stores had various GoPro deals last year. -
Cool, I had always used Wacom but good products are good products. Wacom is expensive though. Glad you got what you needed and I'm sure she will love it.
-
To be honest if she is really into drawing I would suggest a Wacom tablet (it's not a tablet like in the aspect of Android/iPad sense). These are some of the tools that pro's use (I used one back when I did game design/creation). They are great product. I know they also make a screen that you can work on (sort of a tablet/screen all in one) but I think they tend to get pretty expensive. The nice thing about the tablet is that you can hook it to any PC/Mac you have or you could buy her a laptop just for it sort of a package. Here is a link to their medium sized one: https://us-store.wacom.com/Catalog/Pen-Tablets/Intuos/Intuos-Art-Medium-S01

I'm hoping for a decent deal on a MacBook Pro or MackBook Air to replace the one I bought my wife 7 years ago. We are also looking for a new TV for our room.
-
We have been buying stuff here and there. Picked up some clearance toys for nieces and nephews from Target last week.
-
We are going to be heading to the outlet malls in a couple of weeks will be doing some Christmas shopping while there.
-
Looks like you will have 2 Xbox Ones to choose from. MS just announced the Xbox One S this week, supposed to support 4K (ya ya it's a gimmick lol) and VR with more powerful CPU/GPU. I'm not sure on pricing right now but supposed all games released will play on the One or One S.
-
Ya I'm sort of looking forward to it.
