I'm not sure if your cable co is like some others (not knowing who your provider is) but you can sometimes supply your own cable modem and get rid of that monthly fee. I have a Motorola Surfboard 6141 that I got off Amazon for like $45 or $50 (can't remember). I went with the 6141 as it supports higher speeds than the SB6121.

Sorry to hear that. We had a husky (passed away at 14) that would get them. Got to the point where we just kept the medicated liquid from the vet and would use it to flush his ears now and then on a suggestion from the vet. Seemed to help a LOT. Wasn't fun to see him suffer with those.

As I sit here looking at the bags for the stuff we bought in store and the boxes for things that we bought online it looks like from us the 3 big winners this year for our money were Target, Kohls and Amazon. Target we did both online and in store and Kohls was only online. After that it's Walmart and then KMart. I know I looked at some stuff on Best Buy but for the first time that I can remember for BF we bought NOTHING from them, nothing stuck out to me and the one thing I wanted I took the more money in a gift card than savings on the purchase route and got it from Target. Kohls we actually just bought a lot of house stuff for ourselves this year, had good deals on towels so we snagged a dozen or so towels. Got some floor mat's and a few other various things. Movies we ended up getting from Target and Walmart with 1 from KMart this year. Games ended up all online from Amazon who had good deals. Tried to get Rock Band 4 from Target but the system was messing up and I didn't have a chance to head back there.

One of my close friends has at least a few thousand into his, not sure what he really uses it for. He got it earlier this summer.

I ended biting and getting a new printer from Amazon on Black Friday. I bought the Pixma MX922 for $64, checked ink before I bought it. $17 for 5 full sets. Wasn't planning on getting a new one but this one has AirPrint and Auto Feed on the scanner as well as 2-sided printing. Hooked it up today haven't printed anything yet. Going to pass my other Canon on to my sister since her printer died on Saturday (worked out well)

It seems almost every time I go to the front door for the past few days there are packages sitting there.

We haven't got much done, been going going going and then we have been sick. Hoping we can get it all done this weekend. Need to finish the last 4 channels (just need to wire) of my light show and then put up all of those lights. We are hoping to go and cut our real tree this weekend. Will put up the other 2 along with it. -
Holidays are all about tradition I guess I'm just a sentimental person.

Ya it's been a PITA. It's either down or most things I have tried to buy say there is a line for this try adding again. What kind of BS is that lol.

Pure Sinewave Battery Backup. It's always conditioning your power so you have good clean power out to the devices. Think I'm going to order one or two. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00429N19W/ref=gbps_tit_m-3_4382_351ad658?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2309274382&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=5550342011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0C1V1RC83X88DE6B38R8

Their site is getting hammered it looks like.

I'm wondering if the split is going to trend towards online purchases this year? Seems many people I know are refusing to shop in store on Thanksgiving now.

We started talking about it last night. Thinking about smoking a couple of briskets and maybe a roast (might smoke that also - thats a lot of beef lol). Probably some loaded mashed potatoes and the stuff to go along with it. Probably a bunch of cookies, maybe my Kahlua Cheescake and whatever else comes to mind. Christmas Day we usually end up doing a brunch with Paula Deen's French Toast Casserole, Hashbrown Casserole, Bacon and Sausage. Christmas Day dinner not sure about that one yet. Couple years ago we did home made chinese, Amond Boneless Chicken, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers.
