I agree, that is a great idea. I did one of these for a church auction and I included a dvd, micro popcorn, movie type snacks (like mike & ikes and such from the Dollar Tree) and put it all in a popcorn plastic bucket. I got the popcorn bucket from Kitchen Collection (not sure how widespread that store is...)

Seems there is a shortage of dvi lcd monitors in Central Ohio! lol I just checked with CompUSA and there are none of the Acer 19" with dvi available, but they have the ones with just analog It's a present for my dad, and the most he does on the computer is get on his tractor forums and eBay - so I guess he will be fine with the analog one. Thanks for the help everyone :)

Thanks for the help Amie, I followed what you said and still no tracking...So I called customer service. The lady said that it is shipping from an alternate warehouse and a local courier will probably be delivering it & no tracking information would be available I asked if that meant UPS would be delivering it and she said probably not...lets hope it's a reputable company and I actually get it! My dad will just be getting a picture of one in a box for Christmas I suppose. I had bought him something else since I couldn't snag one at BF. Also to the person that suggested CompUSA, thank you I will go check them out as soon as I get off work, if they have them in stock I may go with that and return the Staples one (I looked and couldn't see where they charge any sort of restocking fee so that is good).

One more thing...does anyone know how long Staples takes to ship? I ordered yesterday and they are showing it as shipped from the warehouse already, but they don't provide any sort of tracking numbers or anything on my order status!?! It says delivery on the 27th, but with it already being shipped it might get here sooner. Also I need to know what day so someone can be home to sign for the package & I don't want to sit around all day on the 27th if they're gonna deliver it sooner or later :)

DVI is a techy term I didn't understand so I googled it and I'm still confused. Is the monitor not having the DVI inputs a huge deal? ...And if so why? So ultimately did I get a good deal for the monitor without DVI at $160 and will it not having DVI make it obsolete much sooner?

Hey everyone, since the original Acer 19" lcd the Staples website is "suggesting" the other Acer 19" lcd model AL1916W for the same price of $169.98. I bought this one as the only difference I seen was that the contrast on this one is 700:1 while the original sales one was 500:1. Unless I'm missing something they seem the same otherwise. I was in Macy's last night and the girl in front of me had the Nautica gift set with slipper, she paid about $55-$60 if you can't find it at Marshall's. Also grab a coupon for Macy's 20% off today and tomorrow - read the fine print to make sure Nautica isn't excluded though, never bought that brand so I'm not sure.

I went to Lowe's last night and Christmas plants had a sign saying clearance 50% off - but they weren't all marked that low. Also the majority of the Christmas decor was not marked down at all, a few items were clearanced on their individual shelf sticker but it was only about 25% off......So I guess this may be a store to store or regional clearance thing.

Currently OOS & with the $20 off coupon this deal would've made up for the monitor I missed on BF.

I just checked and they were marked clearance, but they are currently OOS. I added the page to my favorites to check it periodically. I should have jumped on this deal when I seen it earlier, but it seemed too good to be true - but everybody seems happy with the product :)

Not sure if you have a Meijer's around you, but that is where I have bought in the past and they seem to have good prices. Check there if you can.

I ordered some cds on the 13th and I received the order on the 18th. Came in two separate packages - but arrived on the same day. Glad they came because on the Overstock website when I tried to track the package it took me to the usps website and it said the number was invalid...?

In most stores around Columbus, Ohio they are in the front of the store right as you enter (may need to check both entrances if more than one). In the larger stores it does seem that they are in front of the candles & greeting card area.

At the stores fill out their mailing list form - it's about the size of a postcard and is usually by all the registers. If you provide both your mailing and email addresses you will start getting coupons both ways. The 50% off coupon linked above is from an email that JoAnn's sent out. Also check your Sunday paper, their ads usually have at least a 40% off coupon each week. Hope that helps :)

canon is the best deal imo because the cartridge refills run much cheaper than the other brands.

Agreed, I pick up stuff for my dad at Rocky Mountain and he really likes them. Especially the chocolate covered cherries.
