  1. Just got back from Target and I got another Monopoly for $10.09ac and a Cranium Family Fun game for $5.00ac!! I'm going to get at least one more Cranium and donate it :)
  2. blessed is right - just be sure to note what times the early bird specials are for the stores you want to go to. Some stores open at 5am, 6am, 7am, and so on and early birds can end at different times for different stores. Also depending on the popularity and the quantity of the product, a certain item may not be available for that whole time period - and most stores will not give a raincheck if they run out of items on BF.
  3. Hello just joined last month and I am LOVING these forums!! I didn't realize I could easily find awesome deals just by perusing a website. I'm used to just going to stores and checking out clearance aisles and such, but now I can come on here and find out what's on sale. How amazing is that!
  4. Wow this is an awesome thread - I love Target! I went to a couple last night but no luck in finding any pink vacuums for 199, oh well my vacuum still works fine :) I did get the Monopoly for $10.09ac, the one for $15 from Walmart is going back! I also picked up a four pack of coleman handwarmers for 1.99 - gonna need those for BF
  5. Update - I went to Target last night and they had the Monopolys priced at $15.09, so I used my coupon and got it for $10.09. The one I bought at Walmart for $15 is going back
  6. Last year I got one from an employee passing them out when I checked out. I read all the fine print and it didn't exclude the purses, so I tried it and the lady checking out my purse said that is the only coupon that is ever good on the Coach purses. So I gotta make sure I get another coupon this year! :)
  7. Does anybody know when Macy's will be having their employee discount day? Or about when they will start passing out the passes? Last year I made out because the passes are good on Coach purses (I allow myself one a year:) ) and then I got the thanks for sharing rebate after Christmas.
  8. I bought a new dishwasher last year at Lowe's. Basically I just kept perusing the clearance area by the kitchen appliances until they had one I liked. I got a stainless steal fridgedaire (i think) one last year for around $150, it was more than $100 off the floor sales price.
  9. My dad bought me a reconditioned one from Amazon for Christmas a couple years ago & I love it. He is a bit jealous of mine too, because he bought a better one for me that was cheaper than his lesser model I have the one where the bowl goes up & down and it is great. I would definately take advantage of the Amazon deals right now if I didn't already have one.
  10. okay that is just awesome off to Target tonight, after I vote of course. I love Target too, and I always perimeter shop - this board is just a wealth of more info!
  11. g-man, thanks for the link! i think i will begin at the outlet mall this year and then make my way to bb, walmart, etc.
  12. I have Sirius and love it! Sirius has great music channels that include channels that play pretty specific stuff, example they have an Elvis channel (which my dad loves). I personally like the Pulse which plays 90s and now and faction which is a combo of alternative, rock, and rap. I also program in my fav songs in my sportster and when any channel plays them I get an alert (up to 20 songs). My boss and I listen to Howard Stern each morning - he is way better on satellite than regular radio. I have the sportster hard wired to my stereo with speakers and then my boss picks up the signal on his fm radio. You can do this if both people are about 50 ft. or less from each other. So he's happy he gets free satellite radio I also tend to listen to the Martha Stewart and the Cosmopolitan channels. sirius.com has a channel guide listing. They have NFL, NBA, and Nascar-coming in 2007, along with a bunch of other sports, talk, comedy, etc. channels. Hands down I love my sirius and would never get rid of it I also only pay $7 monthly because I have my radio tacked onto my dad's account. My sportster was my main BF purchase last year, I paid a total of $75 for the unit with car kit and a home kit after the rebates. I'm hoping they have the home kits on sale this year too, because I need one for work and home.
  13. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to go check it out because I always need more decorations & I like giving out toys and candy to the trick-or-treaters :)
  14. Thanks everybody for the heads up on the $15 Here and Now Monopoly at Walmart! I picked up one just about 30 minutes ago. I tried to use a Target coupon for $5 off, but they wouldn't let me oh well $15 is still an awesome price.
  15. I used to work at Lowe's and this time of year should be good for finding discounted grills since summer is over. Also after the first of the year is a great time to find clearance in all departments, at least that is how it was about 3 years ago when I worked there. I got some great items working there for next to nothing :)
  16. I usually have a granola bar in case I get to be just starving. NO liquids - gotta stand in line by myself

    Name Brands Ipods

I'm not really into ipods, I just have a no-name MP3 player. But look at the Meijer toy gift guide that just came out and look in the coupons section in the middle of it. I have heard that ipods never go on sale, but I read the ad twice and unless Meijer is going to say it is a misprint or just not have any available, it said 30% off an ipod. I don't believe it was for the shuffle, it was for one of the bigger ones (sorry don't know the ipod lingo) I believe that the coupon was good for one day only, and it wasn't BF. ---Update - got home and looked at my ad, the sale is at Meijer (not Target if you read my post earlier) and the coupon is good for "30% off with coupon 30GB iPod, white or black, Reg. 249.99, Good only on Friday 11/10/2006" Hope this helps anyone looking for these.
  18. I usually have everything down by a couple days after New Year's at the latest.
  19. I don't like decorating too early - but my town is practically forcing it. My younger cousin and I like to decorate my house to try to win the decorating contest that the town has. The problem is that the judging is done during "Christmas in the Village" which is held first weekend in December. We tried to decorate Thanksgiving and after for the past two years, but we just don't have the time to get everything done....so this year we are discussing putting things up beginning the weekend of November 11th. We would really like to win
  20. I'm with JenT - I never seem to have enough stuff (even though I do) and keep on buying until the last minute :)
  21. Name? Kelly Location? Central Ohio People going with you? Not sure this year -probably my cousin How long have you been shopping on BF? about 5 years What is the one AD that you really want to see? best buy What was that one item you sooo wanted to get, but couldn't get it on BF? haven't missed anything I reallllly wanted yet. Cheapest thing you ever bought on BF? Probably the revlon lip gloss last year, was like a dollar Did you ever get anything for free on BF? Sears gift card last year. Christmas ornament from JC Penny's a couple of years. I think I got a gift card from another store the first year I went out - just can't remember who.
  22. While shivering I usually read magazines, ads, or just talk to people
  23. Last year I price matched a few dvds at Walmart on Thanksgiving day from the Kmart ad (I knew they would be out from past experience). Walmart had plenty of the dvds and had no problem price matching. I had called the store manager the day before just to double-check. I then went looking at a few items I had on my BF shopping list and ran into problems. A couple computer games my brother wanted, they didn't even carry. Also a couple season series they didn't have that many. So I ended up in the line at Best Buy freezing to death
  24. I budget everything out so I know when to pay what - this year and last I just moved some bills around to different paychecks so I have almost one full paycheck to use on BF. Gets a bit tight before BF, but I'll survive :) I've definately learned my lesson from charging all of Christmas
