  1. Went last night and didn't find too much. Bought the swiss rolls, pop tarts, and snack mix with my coupons. If you get the Archer farms snack mixes that are like chex mix and not the trail mix then they are only $1.24 after coupon. So good deal. I also picked up a few scrapbooking stickers that were on clearance. I also got a plastic tub of sidewalk chalk for $2.08. Great deal right before spring/summer. There were no Mead notebooks to be found Someone must have bought them all since there were tons a few days ago. A lot of hair items were marked down - shampoo, conditioner, creams, hairbrushes, hair barettes, etc. The office supply area also has a lot of markdowns including dry erase boards, notebooks, folders, 3-ring binders, paperclips, organizers, letter trays, and even markers, sidewalk and regular chalk, colored pencils, glue sticks, etc.
  2. I'm not sure if that's the only thing that destroys perfume...I bought some Obsession a few years back and it went bad in about 6 months. That was the last time I bought pricey perfume. However, the cheaper stuff seems to last forever (go figure!). I store them in a drawer, so they hardly see any light.
  3. So my professor cancelled class last night, so I was able to head out to get the GB deals!! (now my favorite professor, lol) I bought: 2 lg. vases @ 4.99/each 1 smaller matching vase 3.74 2 pink vases 3.74 3 lg. bags of chips 99 cents after coupon 7 small bags of chips free after coupon 8 choxie bars free 2 swiss rolls 57 cents after coupon 1 4-pack dry erase markers 2.08 1 strip scrapbooking stickers 1.38 and some other misc. stuff not on sale/clearance that I needed. Grand total only $45 so I was VERY happy!! :) :) I thought I finally found the 10-pack of juice boxes everyone was talking about but they scanned $3.5x - a higher price than the 15-packs, must be a mistake I never really paid close attention to the GB area, except for the couple vases I had my eye on. So since it was 75% off I was really looking. I ended up with a few things that weren't 75% off, they were apparently stuff that was going in the same area GB had been in, and someone shelved the new items but didn't take down the 75% signs when they moved the GB stuff....oh well. Almost every aisle in my store had clearance so really look around. I don't know of any section that didn't have clearance. The kids furniture had a lot of 75% off items, a few car cleaning items still 50% off, bedding had a ton of clearance anywhere from 30%-75% off - but mostly 75% off. And much more.
  4. Target had them on clearance also, I think they were around $5.
  5. Also the one at Easton - good store, and at Polaris - don't really get up there too much. There's one in Lancaster, but that's a small store and I never really find that much.
  6. That's interesting to know. I just figured the web clearance was the same across the country. I agree that some items are pricey, but other prices are comparable or cheaper than grocery stores. Plus you're helping out the schools. I always check the clearance the day it goes up to get the best availability. Once you register it will tell you if clearance is available (you can click on the clearance link) or if it's not available it will tell you the date it will be available. Their cheese pizzas, cheese raviolis, chicken tenders, & diced chicken are great deals, especially when they go on sale, imo.
  7. Oh I want to go check out GB today, but I have work and then straight to class until 9:30 -- Ugh!!! I think it would be really nice of the professor to let us out early
  8. Hey thanks for the great idea on the Death by Chocolate basket! I'm going to do the same thing for a Youth group silent auction that we have at my church. Gave away all my choxie bars for V-day, so I'll go get a few more, plus with the Little Debbie coupons I'll definately have a good start :)
  9. Do you check online? They put a bigger listing of clearance items online than they do in the paper fliers the schools give out.
  10. I was suprised by your post because I saw it on the clearance yesterday and figured they must have sold out by now. Not only is it apparently sold out, but I can't even find it on their website anymore. But there are some other goodies in the clearance section. I got a couple strawberry cream pies for $5/each and some bread mixes for $1.99
  11. I know, the move just really irritates me. I avoid 256 like the plague - it's near impossible to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time over there because there are so many people and so much traffic. I wouldn't think that the Brice Rd store is losing business, they always seem busy to me, so my solution would be to just build another one if they want a Target store on 256 - that way I could still have my store with less traffic and headaches
  12. It's the SE Columbus Target. The one off of Brice Rd near I-70. I would imagine other ones would have the same. It wasn't a ton of stuff, but I picked up about 4 things. Mainly cleaning cloths, wax, detail brushes, washing brushes, towels (some for drying and some for other things - didn't really understand the multiple towels, lol), some tire cleaner, and some cleaning sprays. It's in the back left corner of that store.
  13. Didn't really find any deals yesterday. I did pick up a few choxie bars and chips :) I also got some auto cleaning wipes for $1.98. There is a lot of items on clearance in the auto cleaning area if anyone needs (all 50% off) - like detail brushes, larger brushes for washing, cleaning wipes, sprays, and solutions. I have my eye on a couple things in GB, but I don't have to have them and will wait to see if they are there at 75% off. V-day was cleaned out! No chocolate to be found I did get a few onsies with hearts on them to give to my cousin for $1.25 each.
  14. Hmmm, that's interesting. I got the cards in the mail. I just looked at the link (I assumed that it was the same thing). Has the same picture on it but has different information on it. So okay I guess I'll clarify and say if you got a card in the mail it is good on clearance! If you only get the link above, sorry
  15. Double check that because on the front of my card it says "Valid on clearance" in the lower left-hand corner. Are you sure you're looking at the same card? The back of mine does not say anything about excluding hoisery or accessories. It does exclude perfect price ever day items and some specific brand names. I got the $25 off $75 so I got two dress pants, 2 panties, and a top for about $54. I also then got a real woman dollar since I spent over $50 which is good for $25 off $50 during a certain time period (don't know when - I don't have it with me right now).
  16. Check with State Farm about multi-line discounts. I have State Farm car and house insurance (used to have renter's) and I get a nice discount for having both. The discount shows up on my car insurance premium.
  17. Look for a furniture outlet store near you and you should be able to find a good deal. For example in my area I have a JCPenny's Furniture Outlet, Value City Furniture Outlet, and a Sofa Express Outlet. All these stores carry mattresses at a great discount. I personally bought my last bed at Value City Furniture and got a great deal.
  18. I've heard a rumor that Staples will be having their Acer 19" lcd for $159.xx beginning 2/18. This is the one that I bought my dad for Christmas and he loves it! You can also look around online for coupon codes to get $20 off, or you can look on ebay for a coupon for $30 off. http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesSearch?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&categoryId=10979&cmArea=SEARCH&searchClassId=10979&keyword=19-20&actualKeyword=19+lcd&searchSkuCount=10&compChartFlag=true&searchUnsumUrl=searchresults&searchSumUrl=searchresultssummary&errorUrl=searchnoresults&fromUrl=searchresultssummary&cmArea=SEARCH Also if you sign up for their Rewards card (which is free) you get free shipping as well.
  19. Just an idea, but you may find something like this at Hot Topic. Skinny pants for guys are popular in Europe and I've seen guys wearing them over here as well. Of course these were teenagers that I seen, but I would think you could possibly find the right size. Worth a shot :)
  20. I don't know how long the sale lasts, but I was at Macy's yesterday and all home clearance was an extra 50% off the lowest price (no Macy's card needed, and no extra discount with the card). I got an Oral-B electronic toothbrush for $25, regular price was $149.99!!! Awesome deal! Also a lot of other depts. had an extra 15% or 30% off clearance when using your Macy's card.
  21. It's the one on the southeast side of Columbus, specifically from Target's website: Columbus SE 15855 Chantry Dr Columbus, OH 43232 (614) 575-2840 By the Brice Rd and 70 exit
  22. Aha! Thanks, I even have the chips coupon but did not even think about single serving sizes, I just looked at the regular sized bags. I did get my free choxie bar last night. First I looked in the candy section for them and they only had weird flavors - like chipotle flavor (Yuck! Why would I want spicy chocolate?) Then I looked at the cash register and found more normal flavors...lol My Target was cleaned out compared to last week, all the sporting goods, furniture, and baby clearance was GONE! I figured with all the cold weather and snow that a lot of the stuff would've still been there. Oh well. I did find the red wine coolers people have been talking about. They scanned item not found, but a nice lady helped me out and scanned it with her gun thing and she was a bit suprised when she told me $19.99 - I told her that was exactly what I was looking for :) So I grabbed two, one for myself and one for a mother's day present for my step-mom. I even left one on the shelf (Columbus SE Target if anyone is near and wants one). They have an adjustable thermostat that can go down to 44 degrees. I am going to take mine to work and use it for storing drinks and stuff. I also got the rubbermaid cloth material ribbon holder Christmas thing for $1.9x.
  23. Okay I'm an avid reader of this thread and this is the first I've heard of free bags of chips...what are we talking about here???? Details please!
  24. I love Deep Discount DVD!! Thanks for the info and the list
