last year we had to stand outside in the cold for the Sears to open. I'm not sure about all stores, but in my area the stores only give the $10 reward cards to people lined up at a certain door (ours was by the pick-up items door). I got there about 5:30am last year, they opened at 6am last year and there was only like 20 other people there. They handed out the tickets at about 5:45 so a lot of us left with our tickets and came back later. This year they are opening at 5, so I guess I will be missing out on a $10 reward card since it looks like I will be at BB or CC.

I like the bigger LCD screen, not worth the $50 difference, but if I can get one for $125 - I'm thinking that might be worth it. I looked at some different cameras last night and I just wish these models weren't "bulky" as compared to other cameras out there - but this camera gets awesome reviews. :)

Thanks for the info. The nearest Office Depot is almost a hour away....at least according to their website. I know there used to be some closer, but they must be closing out stores. So I'm going to give them a call before I drive out there. Does anyone know if Sears would match this price? I seen that others posted about a camera on sale at one of the office stores, they were out, so people were getting them at sears.

I'm looking for a good deal on the Canon a540. In looking at all the BF ads I didn't see anyone have it on sale. I found it on Amazon for $176.83 with free ship. Does anyone know of any better deals? Or a coupon code to use on Amazon perhaps?

If you have a Macy's credit card: I bought a D&B purse this weekend at Macy's. I spent $135 on the purse, picked up a couple shirts on clearance so my total purchases was just over $150. Paid with my Macy's card and then I got $40 in Macy's money. I purchased a matching wallet type thing to go with the purse and paid $1.33 for it after cashing in my Macy's money. The Macy's money deal ends TODAY! I also have the "Thanks for Sharing" program on my card so I will get 10% back on all my purchases in the form of a gift card in early 2007. I have my Macy's credit card just to take advantage of the deals:D I pay it off each month & I save lots of money with the additional discounts card holders get.

Yes they will. Check the BF forum for more discussion on this.

If you have AAA you will get a few dollars off. Just show your card when buying the tickets at the ticket booth (or mention the card when buying over the phone).

My cousin just had a baby and she scrapbooks also. I gave her an assortment of baby girl scrapbook paper, stickers, titles, etc. I didn't buy the actual scrapbook because I knew she wanted to pick that out herself. Try to find out if she uses a certain brand of items or if she doesn't care. Some people can be picky and only want Creative Memories, Jolee's stickers, etc. I picky that I only use Creative Memories albums because they are so great, but I don't care about what brand of paper or stickers that I use. -
Last BF I had a problem with Radio Shack. I bought the Sirius radio & home kit. I sent in rebates to Sirius and to Radio Shack. I got the Sirius one back no problem, but Radio Shack sent me a postcard saying that the rebate was not valid on that UPC!?! I bought the exact product in the ad that the Radio Shack employee gave me when I asked for it. I called the store I bought it at, the manager apologized and said he couldn't see why I didn't get the rebate (he looked up my purchase and details on their computer system). He contacted the rebate center, had it all straightened out, and I had rebate in hand about a week later. I am very careful about sending in rebates, since each one seems to ask for something different. My "trick" is to take each rebate, write the submission address on an envelope, and then on the inside flap of the envelope write what is required to be sent in (i.e. original UPC or copied UPC, original receipt or copied receipt, etc.). That is the best way I have found to keep everything straight.

I don't play computer games that often, but Heroes of Might & Magic is the one I play when I do. It is the only real computer game I even have loaded on my computer. Definately would second that recommendation :) -
Yep - always

that's besides the point:p

Just a FYI you can buy converters to change your satelitte radio from xm to sirius (or vice-versa). eBay is a good place to find them - don't know anything about it just heard someone talking about it. Nascar will be on channel 128 according to their channel guide. :)

The Sears I went to last year never had any cards, they passed out blue tickets (the kind you use for raffles or 50/50). I used mine right away, but my aunt thoroughly annoyed me because she couldn't find anything she wanted so we had to wait for a manager to come talk to her and give her a piece of paper that said she could use it later. She took that paper back about a month later and wanted to get a gift card, they wouldn't give her one and said she could keep that paper and use it when she wanted at their location only. I bet she still hasn't used this! Last year was probably the last I will go shopping with her on BF -- so long story short it looks like it depends on your location, but why not use it that day? grab a dvd or something cheap for around $10 and you have a practically free stocking stuffer.

trick question.....turkey of course!! How can you get tired of turkey? My one grandmother is having a get-together for Thanksgiving this weekend and every year she serves lasagna......lasagna for Thanksgiving!?!?! She says that everyone will be sick of turkey, I questioned this and apparently this year she did buy a turkey breast :)

I have no clue how some of you can wrap in one night Apparently I just take too long, because it takes me a couple hours just to wrap a small pile of gifts. I don't have any kids - so my tradition is different. I like to wrap them as I buy them after the tree is up and then pile them under the tree. I like the look of the tree with plenty of presents under it

Sign up for their discount/loyalty card and make sure you provide your email address. Last month I got a $5 off $15+ purchase in store. Cat food was on sale and I used the coupon so cat food that usually cost about $26 was only about $18. Most of the emails I get are for online orders, but every once in a while I get an in-store discount.

Old Fashioned Game Station
kselzer replied to missmandiemoo's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Your Atari still works?!?! - I'm annoyed my Nintendo doesn't work - I have Gamecube now but I so miss the original Mario Bros. games - why can't they keep putting stuff like that out? I'm quite sick of the Mario Bros. on the island game (forget what it's called) But yeah I would go with the Atari from Target - or - go to a used game store. Just make sure you get some type of warranty since it's hit or miss on some of the older systems working. I wouldn't recommend the plug in the tv ones, my cousin bought one and it worked for like a week -
I needed to buy some luggage for work a couple years ago and after all my price comparisons and such I ended up buying at Macy's. They regularly have really good markdowns and % off on the lower end luggage that is still good quality (not samsonite, but still good). I got three nesting pieces for about $70-$80, three total one very large, one large, and one good size laptop, etc or cosmetics bag. All three have roller wheels and extending & locking handles. Mine is red, however the lips are just cute - i personally would be too embarrased to tell the airline they lost my smotching lips luggage though :)
