  1. the warehouse near me says sign up not required (and doesn't give you anywhere to do so). Does anyone know if I register for another location if I can use the coupon at the location nearest me? Or does the coupon specifically state the location you registered with?
  2. no luck here.....says 10.89 on page and shopping cart. Go to check out and it changes to 16.01. oh well didn't need it that bad.
  3. The whole scam this is horrible. I know I won't be buying gift cards anymore. My problem with receiving gift cards is 1) you don't really get to unwrap anything - yes I'm still a kid at heart and 2) you can get ones to a store you never go to. Last year my aunt and uncle gave me one to old navy. The only thing I own from Old Navy is a scarf, nothing else. So I was a bit upset that they couldn't even take the time to ask or figure out which stores I frequent. I ended up using the gift card to buy a present for someone else
  4. I second that - some companies really pay attention to this website, but others may not. Do a search on the company/product to see how many people have gotten responses. A couple years ago I wrote a letter on there disputing the fact that I bought a dvd that came with a free movie ticket in it. However when I opened the dvd I found that the movie ticket was expired; an expiration date was not disclosed anywhere on the outside and the movie had not been in theaters that long, maybe a month. Anyways all I wanted was a free ticket and I ended up with like eight free movie tickets and a $15 or $20 gas card. It was awesome
  5. Kitchen Aid - I don't know what I would do without it
  6. Thanks! picked up one for my step-mom :)
  7. I am all the time getting their news flyers/catalogs in the mail and they usually have a 20% off coupon on the back.
  8. Just picked one up online (none of the stores near me had them in stock). Thanks for the info :)
  9. Interesting...I wonder if all stores will actually honor price-matching though or if it's going to be a manager-by-manager decision.
  10. I believe you have a JC Penny Outlet in your area - I would look into that. We have one in Central Ohio and I always have great luck finding furniture along with other things. I have gotten a sofa, coffee table, wine stand thing, and so much more there. They usually have headboards & mattresses too.
  11. ditto...missed out on the 19" Samsung lcd also
  12. I went to Prime Outlet Mall in Jeffersonville, Ohio and it was crazy. We got there a hour before opening and it was busy (they were giving away gift bags to the first x-number of people, but there was way more than that in line - so no point waiting), we went to breakfast, came back and is was just plain crazy. I stood in line at Coach for a hour! Lane Bryant for about 30 minutes because they couldn't get the registers to accept credit/debit or checks - cash only. When we left there was about 1.5 miles of people parked on the side of the highway. The people were hopping the fence to get to the mall However we saw about a dozen tow trucks so I imagine quite a few people were not happy when they went to try and find their car. The line was backed up about 2-3 miles down the highway just to get off the exit for the mall - and this was at 2:30am! It was sheer madness! Can't wait to do it again next year. Next year I plan on going to the outlet mall only and not trying to do that and the regular stores :)
  13. Would have picked the outlet malls or regular store shopping...trying to do both was waaaayyy to much! Also not take non-BF friend with me. We all agreed to leave the outlet mall at 2am to get in line at Best Buy and Meijer's and one person decided to ignore this and we didn't leave until after 2:30am. So I did not get the 19" LCD monitor I wanted. This is the first year I did not get the big item I set out to get. Needless to say, she was voted out of shopping with our group next year
  14. about $500 :)
  15. 2 Cranium games, a Rainbow Brite doll, a Barbie doll, and I'll pick up a couple more items before Christmas.
  16. Prime Outlets was CRAZY!! I waited in line at Coach for just over a hour. The store was jam packed and they ended up having to not allow any more people in. I waited in line with a friend at Lane Bryant for about 30 minutes - they couldn't get the registers to take credit cards or anything but cash. Yankee Candle - was not going to wait in another long line (it was to the back of the store and wrapped around) so didn't even bother going into the store. Best Buy- about 30 minutes Sears - about 5 minutes Meijer's - no way, decided I didn't need what I picked up and left! Walmart- no wait & no problem price matching Victoria's Secret - have sale signs, but items didn't ring up on sale...5 min wait & sale prices corrected when I questioned Old Navy - saw line and decided not to even bother shopping - line was to the back of the store and it wasn't even busy in the store, everyone was in line!
  17. Sam's Club is a great place to buy tires. Periodically they run promotions for so much off. In October I got $50 off four tires & no interest/payments for 6 months on my Sam's Club card. Also the $50 off was given immediately at checkout - it was not a mail-in rebate. If you go there make sure to purchase the road hazard protection, I believe it's like $8 per tire. I have used this twice with no run-around, they look at the tire wear and tear based on the tire depth and give you a credit towards purchasing a new tire if you bust your tire for any reason. A few years ago I popped my tire after hitting a sewer drain on a corner about a week after I bought my tires and they gave me a new one free (only had to pay state-mandated disposal fee). Another time I ran over a nail, and I only had to pay about half the cost of a tire because I had the tires for a while.
  18. Thank you!! Great coupon :)
  19. Thanks for the link, I might just stop by there since I'll be passing one anyways. Not sure where all they are located, but we have them in Ohio :)
  20. That's true too, for a friend I did put together a scrapbook for her and she just had to add the photos later on -- but then you would have to be into scrapbooking. I also agree that maybe you should wait until the shower to give a baby gift and give her something for her at Christmas. A gift certificate for a massage, a nice haircut, a pedicure, or a manicure would be nice. The coupon book was also a good idea, perhaps if you're a good cook you could include coupons that would be where you prepare a casserole or two for the family.
  21. For my grandma I put together a food gift basket. I go to a couple local bakeries and stores and purchase an assortment of food items. One store I go to has many items you would find in Amish country, such as fudge, cheeses, crackers, bagel chips, chili & soup mixes, jams & jellies, apple butter, pumpkin butter, candies, chocolate covered pretzels, etc. I put it all in a large size box lid (like the paper copy kind) and cover it with wrapping paper and a pretty bow. I also usually buy her a few Bath & Body works hand soaps. My grandma has a condo and buying "things" just add to the clutter - so this way she is happy because she loves the food and she doesn't have anything she has to find a place for on her mantle or what not. :)
  22. If you have 20 items, you will be sending in 20 different envelopes full of rebates. In past experience I have found the easiest way to do this is take each rebate receipt, write the redemption address from the receipt (there will be different addresses!) on the envelope, then on the inside flap of the envelope write what items you need to send in to receive that rebate (original upc or copied upc, copy of receipt, etc.). In the main BF forum there is a discussion thread about rebates. Hope that helps.
  23. Thanks for the info - I definately be double-checking prices on the ads now. Do you know if the Casio 6.0 mp red color digital camera price changed? Also, which Panasonic camera had the price change? -I'm seeing one for $199.99, but not $179.99 in the ad scan here on this site. Thanks :)
  24. Last year they opened at 6am, so I went to BB first and was at Sears by 5:30. There was only about 20 other people in line. Sears passed out tickets for the $10 reward cards about 5:45. Once they passed out the tickets about half the people took off, I did and went to Meijer's to get a few things, then came back to Sears. Sears was busy last year, but no where near BB or Walmart busy. Just make sure you are at the right door to get the tickets/reward cards - at the Sears I went to it was by the merchandise pick-up doors. If they do this, they should have a sign on the other doors stating this (at least the one I went to did).
