  1. YIPEE!! I didn't order the Kota but I did get the Smores for $141 shipped with tax. I am so very happy about that because I was almost ready to order Butterscotch on Amazon for the $150 price they had - this is so much better. Thanks for the thread - you made my day :)
  2. I have received many beautiful cards! Mine are going out no later than Saturday along with my ornament and ss gifts. I received my ornaments yesterday and I loved them both. They were from Personalization mall and were just perfect. I absolutely love them and my dd Haley really loved seeing her name on the family ornament. She keeps picking it up and asking me to show her where her name is - so a BIG THANK YOU from my "ornament fairy"
  3. I get a headache trying to read the fine print on those coupons. I really don't even bother trying to use them. I mean with print that small and lengthy I can't believe I would get any good deal, LOL. I have also had better luck with just their clearance sales. I have to say that they really do have great clearance sales and have found really great items at good prices.
  4. The way I read the article was that the workers were in the process of opening the doors and the surge then slammed into the doors and did the damage then. So basically if people were pushing from behind the people in front would have no choice but to go with the flow or get trampled themselves. If the doors were being opened - even just a crack then the surge would have done the rest of the work in opening them - probably knocking down that worker in the process. The sheer number of people trying to crowd through the doors at once I am sure is what damaged the frame.
  5. I just ordered the Animated Santa and Mailbox that I was looking at when the items were first stocked. I had to order from a store a little farther away from my house so I could get both items from one store. My total for both was just over $70.
  6. No mistakes here but I did go last night to grab some stuff for dinner and I couldn't resist walking through the toys. I saw the Hannah Montana guitar my mom bought on BF for $20 marked at $10 last night so I bought it so she can return the higher priced one. I also saw the big H3 remote control Hummers that were marked at $50 on BF for $30 each so I also bought a couple of those for the boys. My store had some of the Playdough buckets and tons of the My Size Barbies as well as some of the other toys at the BF prices. They also had tons of the $49 portable dvd players which I couldn't find on BF - so I bought one from Target instead.
  7. Ulta has an exclusion for Bare Escentuals on their coupons so that won't work
  8. No it is different. Your example is flawed - now if someone wanted to pay me for MY spot then that would be fine - but paying me to get in front of me would be wrong. In your example it would be conceivable for both people to get the doorbuster and in the selling ticket example only one person will get the doorbuster. Cutting line is wrong but I don't see a problem if someone wants to pay someone for standing in line for them. The deal is that the placeholder person would have to leave line once the person paying them shows up.
  9. I agree it will be the non-popular older games that are the $16 I'm sure. I doubt I will find Star Wars The Clone Wars in the $16 sale or any of the other brand new games my kids want.
  10. NO this shouldn't be a YMMV matter. Corporate is clearly saying in emails to everyone all over the country that the Target Corporation allows price adjustments within that 2 week time frame (or however they word it). Do NOT let your store get away with this. I would email or call Target's customer service NOW to speak with them and tell them what your store said so they can hopefully get it straightened out before this Friday/Saturday. I had to edit this to add - they DO NOT state in their email responses that it is up to the individual store/manager to make that decision. This is a COMPANY POLICY - nationwide. Please don't let your store get away with doing something like that.
  11. On your receipt it will usually show the price of the item and then below that the gift card amount and then under that the return value of the item - which is basically the price minus the gc value. So if the item was on sale for $50 and you got a $10 gc then the return value of the item would only be $40.
  12. The ad picture says it goes 2.5 mph only - the bigger 2 seaters go either 2.5 mph or 5.0 mph in forward. Every year WM has a ride on - they are always the smaller 6v riders.
  13. Well then I might just have to see about a computer I really am in the market but I don't want to camp out. Our Office Depot isn't ever really very busy so maybe I can get lucky there.
  14. I don't think it is necessarily a shortage on the company's part. Check Ebay and Amazon sellers selling these items for mark-up over the stores. The fact is that once a store restocks the resellers get there and buy them all out again. I know how it works I used to sell on Ebay and I did toys mostly. I made a decent profit on the Bumblebee transformer - I could buy them at Wal-Mart for $9.99 and sell them for over $20. Decent for such a low initial investment - easy to ship. It's no wonder we can't find these in stock
  15. duh - I knew that too LOL. I guess it is the herd mentality in me
  16. None that I have seen and I really doubt they will be in the other stores we are waiting for. The Bakugan's are popular enough that stores can't keep them on the shelves - they don't usually put toys like that on sale for BF in my opinion.
  17. Try the www.sketchers.com website. You can use coupon code BDAY2008 for 20% off a purchase and if that doesn't give you free shipping you can sign up for their email club and get free shipping on your orders. I know 20% isn't much, I hope it helps.
  18. OD's rebates take forever to get in my experience - however I am seeing some nice deals in this ad (from what I can see, LOL). It will definitely be a stop for me!
  19. I prefer my Garmin :) I like that they have all of their main operations in the US including their customer service. Returns and rework are also located in their headquarters here in the US (Olathe KS to be exact, LOL). You can find Garmins with MP3 players, bluetooth capability, etc. What kind of upgrades are you looking to do that would be more than 1gig?
  20. I agree with the sentiment of this statement. You don't need to be rude and yell but you DO need to actually go in and talk to the manager of the store. Explain your problem and do it out on the floor where other customers can hear (that will make the manager more than likely willing to give you anything to avoid the possibility of a scene and/or other customers hearing about problems in the store). If you have proof like a cancellation notice bring that too.
  21. The distance part I read as correct, however, I didn't read anything about special sales on the website. It stated no bogo, no percents off, no buy something to get the "sale" price, but I didn't see a thing about "special" sales - ie black friday. Did I miss it? I mean if a store price matches it price matches right? Who cares what day it is - I think I would call corporate to get the info from them if I was at a store which didn't price match on BF. Thank goodness my closest store does! I think there are people though on a couple of these threads that are saying that their Wal-Mart doesn't price match at all period - anytime. Now unless they live someplace where there just isn't another store for miles and miles then I can't see how those stores get away with that.
  22. I agree. I think it is Wal-Mart policy as a company to price match. I don't think managers have a choice about that - managers do have some discretion to bend rules of price matching. That is the way I read the pricematching policy on the corporate website. http://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx I think if your store refuses to price match you need to complain to corporate. If you don't speak up they won't know that anything is wrong. Don't assume someone else is doing it. You know what they say about assuming things
  23. http://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx This is a link to Wal-Marts price matching policy from their corporate website. To me this states that as a company the stores are required to price match within a certain geographical area. There are some specified rules below and it does say on another FAQ that they won't price match between Wal-Mart stores because they are not in "competition" with themselves but they should price match other stores sales if they are in the market. If your stores aren't I would call corporate. If nobody complains then how will corporate know the store is going against policy? I filed an online complaint once against my local store and it does get to management - and the manage DID call me back to resolve the issue to my satisfaction.
  24. In my parade magazine today I found coupons for $5 off the Dora Snow Princess Wii Video Game exp. 12/27, $3 on Nickelodeon Dvd's exp 12/14, $10 off the Fisher Price Dora Magical Welcome House exp 6/9/09, and $5 off the Spongebob Globs of Doom Video Game (no platform specified) exp 12/17. When I saw someone had brought up last years thread I thought - just for the heck of it to look through my Parade insert and there they were. I am excited because all of those things except for the welcome house were on my list to purchase. If anyone wants the $10 coupon let me know by PM.
  25. My son wants an archery set this Christmas and Dick's seems to have good prices on a true starter set - esp. for a lefty so I think I will stop by and use the $20 gc with a $100 purchase coupon :)
