I feel the same way but I remember when I was younger and got cash from my parents - they put $200 in a plastic ball ornament and hung it on the tree for us and I LOVED it. I didn't care about unwrapping presents - I was so happy to get the cash, lol. Really I still remember that Christmas because it was the first that I got cash and it was AWESOME! Anyway my point is that honestly I think the wrapping means a lot more to you than her. I plan on wrapping some cash in boxes for my sons.

Rockband 2 for xBox 360 and PS3 Amazon Black Fri deal NOW $70
nikkilugi replied to Stowasser's topic in Online Hot Deals
I went ahead and bought one for the XBox 360 that I got the boys this Christmas. I admit this game is mostly for me (but I will gift it to them for Christmas). I have been wanting something like this for our Wii but figured this would be better since we will put this system up in the play room so the instruments won't crowd the living room. I am EXCITED - yay! -
Good idea. I think I might do that this year!

I am in Olathe. I plan on starting at TRU at midnight (I think - although I might go to the one by Oak Park Mall because the TRU in Olathe usually doesn't have as much as the OP store). My mom shops with me but she doesn't want to go out that early so I probably won't see her until right before 5 at Wal-Mart.

I don't think Target will price match other stores on BF at all.

We had our dyson for less than a year and the clutch starting messing up which is what is making the super loud noise you are hearing. We don't plan on getting a Dyson again. We have had better luck with our Bissel.

Our Wal-Mart has the Stove Top marked down to $.78 a box. I just bought 4 boxes on Sunday morning.

Exact same deal with Price Choppers here in our town.

Not usually although they do price match KMart's ad if they have the exact items of course. -

I did get that code to work at deep discount. It took $5 off so I went ahead and ordered a few dvd's for my dd for Christmas. Thanks!! -
Yes. They have a couple of options. We pay $50 a year for the gold membership. There is also a higher level that you pay (I think) $100 for and you get 3% cash back on your purchases there.

Thanks! Placed a couple of orders and it worked like a charm!

In total about 80% done. I have bought the major gifts for my boys. I still need things for my dd and dh. The rest of my family including parents, grandparent, nieces and nephews, and cousins are 95% done!

Hi. I got the Xbox from the Amazon lightning deal. I just got my promotional code today and am looking to buy a hard-drive to go along with the system for my boys. My son's are 10 and 9 years old. Originally I was thinking of getting the 60 GB Live hard drive combo for them off of Amazon for $90 but I was searching and saw today that they have a 20Gb refurbished XBox Live combo for $50. That would be cheaper for sure and I could probably buy them another controller on top with the code. My question is - would you buy a refurbished hard drive?? What would be the way you would go if you were buying? TIA!

That will cause a major problem I think. With as long as the checkout lines get and as busy as the stores they are trying to call are I can't see that being a quick process. I think the cashiers and managers will get an earful if that will be the policy.

When do they plan on releasing the info to the public then?

Be Careful With Walmart's Pricing
nikkilugi replied to bfaddict1977's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Same thing happened to my mom. She bought something that had a sign with one price but it rang up something else. She went to CS to have them fix the problem and they called back to toys and the toys lady denied the price. My mom walked back to look and the girl had removed the sign - mom talked to her and she admitted she did stating that it was incorrect. I was majorly po'ed so I emailed corporate and the next day a manager from the store called me and told me to send my mom in and they would adjust the price and also give her an additional $3 as well for the error. This was last year. -

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009

I have found that the markdown team works during the day - not overnight. So I don't think when the store opens that the items will be marked down yet. -
Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
nikkilugi replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Clearance items stay at that price until they are salvaged out and then they are taken off the shelves and usually sold to other low price discount stores. They are not sale items - the prices won't go up. -
My sons are 9 and 10 and they are getting video games (and system). My ds10 asked for a new bike as his was getting beat up. After that I am giving them both some $$. My MIL is getting them a 32'' lcd tv for their room. A digital camera is nice. Or a camcorder maybe?

How do you handle gifts for siblings w/ larger families
nikkilugi replied to leefamily23's topic in 2009
In our family we do kids only and then a present for mom & dad/grandma & grandpa. I have a niece and a nephew on each side (mine and dh's). We buy for each of them and then we buy dh's mom a gift and my parents a gift. We have 3 kids and they each get a gift from their aunt on my dh's side and their uncle on my side. Last year my brother bought me a small gift and I felt crappy because I didn't get him anything. Not sure what will happen this year - I might buy him a gift certificate or something. We also still celebrate with my extended family on my mom's side. My mom is one of 7 kids. We go over to my grandma's house (kids' greatgrandma) on Christmas Eve and exchange gifts. It is basically the same there. Adults buy for kids. Since I am technically a kid some of the aunts and uncles will give my dh and I a gc but we do not expect it. I buy for my cousins. I have 7 ranging in age from 25 to 11 and I will buy each of them something as well since they are still the "kids". Everyone buys my grandma something.
