write down what I buy on Black Friday and keep it with me throughout the holiday season so that I remember what I bought and do not overspend

I love Black Friday. I wait all year for this. I am usually a law abiding shopper. No cutting in line, no cheating just the love of the sport. A few years ago the adrenaline of the game proved too much. I waited in front of a side door of Walmart. When the doors started to open, it was clear my door was not opening. In a fit, I rushed around to the front door (to boos and curses)only to get pushed in by this really huge mad guy (He thought he would keep me out but I do not think he realized that the force of 100 people pushing in the store would be so fierce). At that time we had a small Walmart that would take pictures of the opening and post them in the stores. Needless to say the picture that was taken made me look like a maniac and for months people I knew laughed their butts off when they saw it. There was no doubt it was me.

Last Christmas my husband was worried about his job (he ended up getting laid off in May) so we spent the bare minimum. He just got a new job 3 weeks ago, so while I will spend the same on family members, I plan to splurge a bit on my children. Not a large amount, but my son has been wanting a DS so he will probably get one this year

To me it signals the start of the holiday season. You pig out for 24 hours and then you burn it off rushing around. My dh is looking for a new job. We live in cold and snowy Fingerlakes NY and when he brought up Florida as an option , my FIRST (and I am not lying) thought was...Hooray!!! BF without snow and coats Dedication to the craft!

i got on line at 9am with a party of 11 people. We were seated at 9:23 and left at 10:01. I paid 2.99 total after tax before tip for 2 meals

A few years ago I got a really good Walmart tip from a Gottadeal-er that I never forgot. I was having trouble with them taking internet coupons, which they do, and she told me to put the corporate phone number in my cell phone so that when they give you trouble you call them and get the situation handled. One time I made the store manager talk to his own company!

I found some golf things marked 50% off got a ball monogrammer or $3.XX. I found that at Targets the golf stuff clearances right before the new stuff comes in as opposed to the end of the season like baseball. I stock up now for dh for Valentine's Day and his birthday.

in Victor, NY some toys are 75% and some were just being marked 50% this morning. The ladies were marking down as I shopped. I got the Star Wars Digi $89.XX orig for $22.XX and I bought the Star Wars Millenium Falcon $129.XX marked to $34.XX. I saw the 30% off clearance clothes and bought my older son snow pants for next year for $3.74 and a white mens hoodies for $1.74.

I am going first thing tomorrow.

I was thinking today. If the toys went 75% on Jan 10th last year - that was a Thursday. Since this is the same week, it may be that tomorrow it happens again

Christmas Eve I went in to Target and hid a $30 christmas stocking dig****** ornament and a $16.99 cast iron breadpan with gingerbread people on it behind a box of crackers. Yesterday I went back to get them for 90% off...and they were still there. My local Target has not stocked crackers in 2 weeks So I got my 2 items for 4.69 plus tax!!! LOL

in Western Ny the first set of toys are marked to 30% off. Does anyone remember when we got 75% off toys? I keep thinking it was the first week of February.

My shopping was subdued and rather calm this year which was really nice. Each year I have to decide what is the major steal for the day is since there is close to 30 miles between Walmart and everything else. I got to BonTon at 3:45 and there was only about 10 people waiting near the door I pulled up at. I got Sharper Image digital camera/binoculars for $20, and queen size down alternative comforter for $20 and hot wheels toys at 50% off which was nice since I got a huge loopy thing for $15. KB Toys opened at 5 so I got the Star Wars tent for $10. Went then to Target for the $10 Shark stickvac combo. There was about 75 people ahead of me and as usual they only had 5 of them, but this time I knew to go there first and then to get the $15 air hog helecopter and gator golf.

I could barely sleep. I was out at 3:30 and got back in my house by 9am and slept for 4 hours

line jumping is my #1 piss off. Also huddling around the DVD box comes close. I always hide my shopping cart close by when I need to grab DVD's this way I take what I need and move away quickly.

I saw this in the store today on a poster. The Star Wars transformers for $10 is a good deal. The SW toys in Target and TRU are really high priced. This is good if you need to satisy a child's SW lust for not alot of money

I also got the 52 ct Pullups for $11.49 from $22.XX. I bought 2 boxes

I was kind of bummed because my Playmobil Nativity sets are still 16.99. They only have three left. I have to go back on Monday because mine has a HP 6.2 mp camera and dock/printer that is 50% off at 90.XX from $179.XX. It hasn't changed prices in weeks. I hope it gets to 75%
