I spoke to a warehouse manager yesterday. She told me that the reason Big Lots's ad leaked late was that they were not happy with last year's BF sale and attribute it to people seeing the ad early. Also, I found out that any Big Lots that are in a shopping center with a Raymore & Flanagan furniture store is not allowed to have furniture on the floor. That does NOT mean they do not have any. The woman told me to ask an associate for a recliner and if they have one, they will usually sell it to you - but ask you to pick it up by the loading dock rather than off the floor.

You need to pay for the Tivo service to make the DVR work. It was $12.99 a month the last time I checked. Dish Network has their own DVR with a plan that you may want to check first.

I am finding that Target is beating all of TRU's prices on toys this year. I bought some shake & go cars at TRU and returned them because Target had the $4 cheaper:eek:

I was at Toys R Us last Sunday and bought a number of "hot" toys. Not one of them is listed in the ad as a doorbuster. How wierd is that!!!!

Alot of the non-food items will get sent to all the remaining open stores. They did that after the last set of closings

I have 1 teacher and 2 specialists to buy for. I am getting my son's preschool teacher a gift card to the local teacher store and a gc for a dinner at Biaggi's since she does so much to help my son. The Ot's are getting food gifts with something made by my son. I am making caramel toffee popcorn. If you let this, it can and will bankrupt you LOL

Speaking of scents, I went to the bath and body works website and printed out a coupon for a free $10 holiday scent if you send $10 in the store

my Baby Alive back in the 70's wasn't that creepy looking. I lost it after it got all moldy and smelly from the food rotting in it. So, the only way I'd buy it, would be if they found a better way to clean it out

During the year I check about 4 times a week, I am not a big poster by nature. But during this time of the year I am here about twice a day with alot more postings

Last year at walmart right before the doors were to open people got out of their cars and just stood by their cars. Once the doors opened it way mayhem. There is no number system for that. The people I felt bad for were the ones who stood in the back and waited. Let's be honest here, it isn't you place in line as much as how fast you can run from wherever you are outside to inside

Anyone live near East Aurora NY? It is south of Buffalo. That is where the factory is and you get mega deals every August when they slash the actual factory prices.

OMG:eyepoppin I cannot say thank you enough for this. I just registered for VIP status and they are having a VIP sale next Saturday.

The reason I ask is that I work part time for a large supermarket chain. I work the same evening shift every night so I see the same people..every night. Just last night I was talking to a disgruntled Big Lots employee:rolleyes: who told me that if she could get her hands on the BF ad, she would bring it to me early. The store manager of my local Kmart is a customer and likes me so the past 2 years she has given me an invite to the friends and family night. I know employees at Eckart's(sp?), Super Walmart and Lowes now so I will start asking them as well. Anyone else collect favors? (Nothing like personalized service at the grocery store knowing the cashier has ulterior motives )
