I have already started shopping buying up some summer clearance items in CVS and Target I love Black Friday more than Christmas LOL. We just moved to Florida and 2 of my neighbors have decided they want to come with me.

I was in CVS today and got a Showtime petite rotisserie oven at 75% off for 7.50. Also they have, I think it's 1st generation, WII Guitar Hero game and Guitar for $12.98. The Manager said the stores are clearancing some promo items. I am in South Florida. I would check, just in case :)

I keep looking for our 2010 category so we can start chatting about all this LOL.

Thanks I didn't think to look back (forgetting how far back I can actually go here :) ) Staples seems to do their sale school supplies around the same time. Seems to vary slightly but the last 4 years has been the first 3 weeks in August. We moved from NY to Florida and with the kids going back to school in 5 weeks I was looking to cash in on some savings. Now that I think about it, I always complained about it being so early because up in WNY we have no school list in August. Now I already HAVE a school list I can save better and buy what I need, rather than just buy things because they are cheap. IYKWIM...

Does anyone remember when it is? Mid August? School supplies are starting up in every store I see so I was curious. I just can't remember. Thanks

Mine gets so cranky. I buy things and end up giving them as gifts since I didn't really need it...but could not pass it up LOL

My Target had a really poor selection of clearance toys this year. Majority was girl and toddler toys. I did buy a 3 piece plastic camping cook utensil set on a ring for $3.24. The golf items were on sale and got my husband a golf glove for $2.84. Since this is Buffalo Bills territory, the jerseys and t's are on clearance but I got a better kids/mens/household selection in Kmart

In my part of NY Christmas is 90%. Not much left. Mostly trees. I bought 2 star wars stockings for .99 each and a choxie small box for .42. Our toy section is still 30% and isn't as large as last year. I asked when they were going to 50% but no one had an answer (as usual)

I was at mine today and the selection of clearance toys was not great. My Christmas section was pretty much picked clean with just odds and ends left.

Thanks for the update. Do any of you find the sizing at Stride Rite to be different than other stores? I always have to buy my children larger sizes there than at other places

Mine had only a few size 4/5 left. When I asked a manager, she said that they recieved less than 100 sets

How do you get a target catalog mailed? Do you need to be a credit card holder?
