Back in the 1970's one of the NYC independant tv stations ran it every year on Thanksgiving.

I like colored and white lights, but last year at Target's after Christmas sale I got the most beautiful white crystal ball ones that I am totally hooked.:)

We do it every year. I have 2 more bags to get out this week :)

This morning on the Today show they had an MSNBC analyst talking about how toys and such are starting to go on sale now because they are anticipating a slower holiday season due to financial conditions of a poor housing market, unemployment and high gas prices. They cited Walmart as an example but I am really thinking that the problem stems with Walmart. Opinions?

I cook on Thanksgiving. Period. end of story. The family knows this. We get up early and I do all the last minute preps. The kids and I watch the parade and then I break out March of the Wooden Soldiers (It used to come on tv every year when I was a child). Fast forward dinner is over, the company cleans up and my sil, niece and I clear the kitchen table, get out our lists, ask mil what she needs and then plan the morning store by store deciding what is #1 needed item and down the line. I set the coffee pot with the timer for 3am and off to bed by 10pm the latest. We are usually done and home by 11am

In my Walmart a few years agoI watched a lady in front of me just get pushed into the front door frame, she didn't get a chance to step back out of harms way. She was screaming.

Normally it is Walmart but last year it was Target. In my case, it is where the toys are first

I always ask for BF off the minute the schedule book comes out in January:D My local Targets came through big time last year with employees outside so people wouldn't cut the line at the last minute. I really believe it made people less grouchy. I go more for the excitement and less for the items. It's is like cocaine for the shopaholic. With the economy as it is, we might just be in for a good year. They want our money.

I had a good day today. I got my son a helicopter toy (for going potty) 9.99 - $2.48, I got the $19.99 Cars helmet/kneepads for $4.48, the 3M Patio door plastic winterizer cover thing for $2.49 and some lovely $19.99 handcream marked down to $4.98 This was a big markdown day, employees and carts were everywhere so I "perused" for longer than normal

We need a larger tent for camping this year. The one we have is too small.

Does anyone know when it goes on sale? It must have a season like everything else, right? Anyone know?

I got a 26" girls bike for $10.44. orig $58. They had just marked it and I asked the salesguy if this was right and he said yes. I am so excited. That was my best Target buy for the month!

I am just going to have to drive there!

I saw them in Big Lots today for $15

My Big Lots had Video Now jr players for $15 tonight and with my 20% off I got it for $12:D

I just bought my husband $11.99 underwear for $3.98

As soon as I read this today I went out and checked and I got 3 of them!!! They had boy and girl varieties. They also had 3 Fairytopia Barbies for $7 Thanks for the tip!!!!!

I saved $53.95 and got free shipping and saved another $12.97.

Yesterday I went into my local Target and it was Holiday Helper Day. I have no idea what it's celebrating but I scored free breakfast AND a $5 off $25 coupon for anything in the store. I got 2 clearance sweaters for $2.98 and the last Spiderman 3 wheeled scooter at $18 - my $5 made it really good since the reg price was $29.99. Boy I love Target

This year at my Target they did something really cool. About 15 minutes before opening they brought out 15 employees whose job was to keep the people who sat in their cars all night from cutting in line. And for the most part, it worked. About 100 people were kept out until the last person on line went in.
