I can tell ya what I don't want... A laptop I'm hoping for a decent digital camera for myself. I'm liking K-Mart's 7mp deal, if I knew what brand it was though I might like it better. I'm hoping for quite a price drop on the Kid Tough digital cameras, too. So far, I'm not impressed, though.

I live out in the middle of nowhere and the closest ANYTHING is at least 30 miles away. Including Walmart. But I'll still be there.

I plan on getting a buggy. 3.5 kids means alot of toys to grab, and there's just no way I can pack it all.

I give whatever change I've got in my pocket. The money doesn't just go to the salvation army to help families, it also goes (in part) to those bell ringers. How much they make for standing out in the cold depends on how much is in their bucket at the end of the day (at least that's the way it works around here). My heart goes out to them for at least sucking it up and trying.

We don't have any credit cards, so it'll be a combo of cash and debit. We're putting back so much out of DH's paychecks, plus I work from home so all of my income at the moment is being saved up for Black Friday.

Do you use your Christmas bonuses strictly for BF?
Spotted1 replied to reportermomof3's topic in 2006
No bonus here, either. They do get a safety bonus at the end of the year. However, it goes to the foremen, and then it's up to the foremen if they want to share it with their crew. Most don't. -
Well, I've been searching for one to show you to no avail. But I remember seeing them at walmart. They're the Disney Princesses (Ariel, Snow White), as toddlers. Short with little chubby faces. That'd be my guess as to what it's talking about.

What do you get a 13-14 year old boy?
Spotted1 replied to whitesocks's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
My nephew is about to turn 13, and for Christmas my DH & I have decided to get him an MP3 player and pre-load it with a bunch of his favorite songs. We're steering clear of iPod, though, just because that's more than we can afford (we try to spend the same amount on all the kids). -
Paintsville, Kentucky. Unless KBToys has something really just knock down drag out amazing. If that's the case I might be in Ashland, Kentucky. lol

Oh dear. It's not a big ticket item (not really anyway), but my daughter (who is about to turn 3 in January) is dying for the My little Pony styling Unicorn. Well that bad boy is named Rarity for a reason. :x Somebody had some on Amazon that they were re-selling for $140 a piece. I lucked out, and found it at walmart for $15 (with 10 bonus hair pieces ) but it's killing me to hide it from her because whenever she plays with her other ponies she'll say "Mommy, member the unitorn with the hair like this pony? I liked that." Yeah, baby.. I know you liked it. LOL

So far, we're planning on hitting walmart first. There'd really have to be something big to tear us away from walmart. It's at least a 30 minute drive (in good weather, snow/ice/rain could make it take as much as an hour) to get to the nearest Wal-Mart. So as of right now we're planning to leave the house around 2:30 (2:00 if the weather is bad) to get there and in line by 3:00.

I'm trying to hold out for Wal-Mart before I let myself get disappointed. K-mart's wasn't thrilling, but I was glad to at least see the ball rolling.

I've never had a problem getting the paper, but then again I live in a town of 250 people. "Small" doesn't even come close to describing this place. lol

There's something about maternity tops that can make a woman in her 2nd month look like she's 2 months past due.

I've been trying to find out if you can just use the spoon (without food on it) when she says she's hungry, that way she won't poop, or if she'll have a major malfunction if you don't actually feed her. I'm going to have enough diapers to change come May that I don't need a doll in diapers, too. lol ETA That our walmart has these stacked to the gills on an endcap by the bike racks.

I'll be around 14w for Black Friday this year...and I plan on going. If I were closer to 7/8 months, though. I'd probably tough it out and stay home.

Some things never go on sale. Ipods are one of those things. I do think there'll be a cheap mp3 player, but it won't be an ipod. I'm hoping for a home theater system to go on sale, but I just recently scoped my walmart and they had cleared out all of their home theater systems, so I may be hoping too high on that one.

I'm creating massive wishlists of things I hope are going to be BF items.

I'm up for travel, but I think Fort Wayne just might be a little too far for this Kentuckian, even in the name of a good deal.
-
Oh man... as if I wasn't gonna miss out on enough sleep.

I'm not sure. I got my daughter (who was 23 months at the time) one of the Light & Sound Kitchens for christmas, last year. It was a walmart brand, not Little Tikes, but it did go down from $32 to $24. The Light & Sound Kitchens this year are even nicer than they were last, and are still only $30-$35. Walmart will probably start marking them down again close to Christmas and/or Black Friday.

How do you take a potty break while waiting in line on BF?
Spotted1 replied to cherry33778's topic in 2006
Holy wow, I hadn't thought about potty breaks. And I'm pregnant! I'll need lots of potty breaks. Guess I better start working those into the plan! -
I really hope you're right. My daughter would absolutely love the Kid Tough camera, but I just can't bring myself to pay $70 for a digital camera, even a kid-tough one, for a 2.5 year old.

Wonder if Wally World will do another Lap Top this year?
Spotted1 replied to f1rstclass's topic in 2006
I'd love for them to do the emachine laptops this year like they did the ones last year (I can't remember what brand those were for some reason). I'd have to rethink my DH's christmas gift entirely if they did. -
If it was priced right, I probably would at least consider it.
