  1. I've not been to Target (its a couple hours away) .. but I did notice at our Walmart when I was there last week that there were barbies stacked up on the risers in housewares. I'll have to pay closer attention to whats overstocked when I go this weekend.
  2. Not, but I'm a fan of the self checkout. I don't care if I go through with 20 items, then DH goes through with 20 more, and then DHs nephew (our part time son lol, he's always with us..especially if we're at wallyworld) goes through with 20 items, too if we have to .. we hit the self checkout so we dont have to play with the mean holiday ravaged retailers
  3. My DD, Evelyn, is definately the easiest. FIL is a PITA to shop for, though.
  4. Gosh, just go to walmart and get the 2.1mp camera for $29 .. skip the BF rush. The digital camera I myself have didn't even cost $100.. and I'm 22.
  5. DD isn't even 2 yet, so she doesn't make a list for me. But I keep a tally in my mind all year long of things I think she'd like and come Christmas I get the ones I can or I replace them with things that I think she'd like better. The nieces and nephews are another story. I usually ask them what they want and they'll just tell me their "big" item.. then I have to coax the rest of their wants out of them ...lol I encourage them to ask for several things. They all know that DH & I will try to get the things they ask for, but they don't know which thing they asked for theyll get. lol
  6. We have the PS2 and the GameCube. Honestly, we love them both. We got our Gamecube, brand new, off of ebay for $45 shipped last year. The PS2 we got in February of this year for around $150. I like the child friendly gamecube games (Even my 2 year old can play some of them), but the ps2 I have to admit does have a wider selection of games to buy. If its possible, get both. lol
  7. I'd like to be at the store by 3:00 or 3:30 ... at the latest. Which means we'll be leaving the house by 2:00 or a quarter after. The things we'll do for a good deal.
  8. We're hitting Walmart and then Kmart for the early bird deals. Depending on how we feel, what their ad looks like, and how much money is left over we may make the trip over to WVa to Target and Toys R Us.

    Kmart ad

Well.. the $25 disney princess table and chair is not a bad buy. $17 DVD player is the cheapest one so far, that I'm aware of. But the bikes could be cheaper (and are going to be at WalMart). I wouldn't say it sucks, but its not necessarily thrilling, either.
  10. We don't have credit..so we have been saving all month long for BF. If its not paying a bill, its going into the BF stash. I suspect we'll have between 4 and 5 hundred dollars stashed back. Whether we spend it all or not depends on if we can get the things we're going for.
  11. Kmart has a Polaroid 5MP listed in their BF ad for $99.xx .. but I can't seem to find any reviews or information about it.
  12. My DH & I will be shopping for each other, as well as for our DD, his 4 nephews, and my 2 nieces. We're hoping to get all the kids in one whack.
  13. There's different options. for $9.99 a month you can get 1 movie at a time, but an unlimited # of movies for the month. For $11.99 you can get 2 movies at a time, but only 4 movies during a month. $14.99 gets you 2 movies at a time, unlimited movies a month. $17.99 gets you 3 movies at a time, unlimited movies a month. The prices keep going, all the way up to 8 movies at a time, unlimited movies a month for $47.99 .... You'd have to be a pretty diehard movie buff to watch that many movies though ETA, if you're unsure but just wanna 'test the waters' try the cheapest (I believe they're still giving out the 2 weeks free for each new sign up, too btw) option and if you dont like the service just cancel it. :)
  14. I love Netflix! We live out in the middle of nowhere, so getting to a movie rental place is a PITA (and can be expensive, since its at least 30 miles one way to get there) .. with Netflix the movies are just a walk to the mailbox away. And its just as easy to send them back. There's several different payment options. We pay $9.99 a month, get 1 movie at a time, unlimited # of movies a month. As soon as we finish one its in the mail (sometimes the day after we receive it if we watched it that night) and in 2 days we have another. :)
  15. So far its just DH & I going for the early bird specials.. we're hitting walmart. If Kmart has some good BF sales (they seem to be doing fair with the Tday sale) then we may hit them after Walmart. DH is taking electronics and I'm hitting toys. We're hoping to get SIL in on the act as well..so that we'll have a 3rd person to help with the heavy stuff. ETA that we're also trading our Dodge Neon for FIL's full size Chevy truck for the day lol And if SIL gets in on it, then that'll mean her Blazer that we can fill up, too.
  16. Hmm. How difficult could it be to change out the plastic tires for real ones? Seems that the tires would be about the same size as those on a small riding lawn mower...... Just a thought. lol
  17. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com says Nov. 7th http://www.blackfriday.gottadeal.com says Nov. 8th
  18. Good question.. One I didn't think to ask! We only have a gravel driveway and a dirt road, but 30 acres of grass. lol Now I'm curious if the jeep will go on it or not. We hoping to get it for our almost 2 year old DD.
  19. My DH is taking the day off. His boss'll probably have a fit about it..but he's taking the day anyway.
  20. I keep waiting for that blasted Kmart ad..but it evades us, yet. I'd like to see Target & TRU, but I wont be at any kind of loss if I never see them since the closest ones are over in West Virginia.
  21. I'm a BF virgin. This is mine and my DHs first year BF shopping..but we're psyched.
  22. I admire your dedication to the better health of your family. So selfless.
  23. That's a nifty idea. I'd do it! We'll have to be out the door by 2:45 a.m just to get to the town the stores are in by 3:30. And if you're getting big deals, then its worth it that much more.
