We have one of those water jugs that we dump all of our change into, plus we'll plunk the occassional $5, $10, or even $20 down in there.. Neither one of us has credit cards. Not for lack of trying but apparently you have to have credit to get credit.

I'm not sure if our Walmart would price match a KB Toys ad or not .... The nearest KB Toys is almost 2 hours away. Last year I was under the impression that in order to price match, it had to be an ad from a store that was local to the store you're trying to price match at. If that's not the case, it could be worth the try. Actually, just about anything could be 'worth the try' in the name of a good deal

I always forget that we have a K-Mart. They do have layaway, but there's not always somebody back there. For that matter, there's not always somebody at the register, either.

It really depends on budget for us. We both come from large families, and could go bankrupt if we bought for everybody. We always start with buying for our daughter. Then we buy for each other. Then the nieces and nephews, followed by DH's parents (mine are deceased), our siblings, cousins, etc. No matter how much we can or can not spend, we always take care of the kids first. The adults are old enough to understand if we can't get them something.

I'm hoping for a decent home theater system... doesn't have to be anything outlandish but I don't wanna pay an arm & leg for one either.

So far I'm only planning to be in line at Wal-Mart, bright and early. Depending on how many Best Buy Bucks we rack up, we may hit them later on in the day, depending on what they have to offer.

I was at Pamida yesterday and there was 1 aisle of Halloween decor and 4 aisles of Christmas Decor. Before you know it there really will be Christmas in July.

Last year, Wal-Mart had the power wheels Jeeps for $79... I didn't make it in to get one on BF, and thought I was pretty much out of luck. A couple months later we were looking for bikes for our daughter, and found one of the jeeps (The same one from BF) on the shelf with a clearance sticker on it. We ended up paying $60 for it after tax.

When I was planning to go last year my MIL was absolutely convinced that I had gone nuts. She actually might be right, but it wasn't BF that made me crazy..

If TMX Elmo is the craze for this year, then thank goodness I won't be in that line. My 2.5 year old wants nothing to do with elmo!

I do, but I don't always pay attention to what they say. Last year I was looking for a small tabletop easel for my DD (who was 1 at the time) .. the one I bought her had horrible reviews. Mostly how it was too small and flimsy, etc. But a year later, it's still in great shape and she still uses it daily.

Hello! My name's Cole, I'm from Eastern Kentucky.. Last year was supposed to be my first Black Friday adventure, but unfortunately I was not able to go, so THIS year will be my first BF. I really enjoyed being here at GottaDeal last year for the BF ads, and am looking forward to being here for BF this year. -
Does KB Toys have a sale all day long on BF.. or do they just do the Early Bird/Door Busters sale? The closest one is almost 2 hours away, so there's no way I'd be able to hit their door busters, but if they have a sale all day long, then I'd be more willing to check them out.

I still shop at Walmart. It's the only place here TO shop, so I don't have much choice.

Mannnn, those are some great deals. Too bad I couldn't find any 3T stuff left on the site. I should've looked sooner, I suppose ...

That one's liable to get you shot!

You don't have kids, do you?

There's the new "More Electronics" and "More Toys" ads on the site along with the original that had the higher prices for my local Walmart now. Guess we won't be having a riot after all.

3 presents already wrapped. I've fallen so behind on my holiday shopping I'm usually already done by now!

Its not walmart's fault... Its a law in Wisconsin that retailers can not sell something for less than what they paid for it. The whole deal with Black Friday is to have some super low priced "loss leaders" that lead people into the store, generally the store takes a loss on those products, but make up that loss on the other things that they do not have marked below 'invoice' (its late, I have a toothache, and thats the only word I can think of.)

You know.. I hadn't thought about that. The online ads at the site said that my "local" Walmart (which is in Paintsville, KY) will have the computers for $488 .. Which I expected because we don't have a BB or CC or anything like that to compete with Walmart around here. However, the Ashland Walmart (Which is a little ways to the north) had the $378/$398 prices. Most people in my area will get the Ashland newspaper, with the Ashland Walmart's ad, then take it to the Paintsville Walmart (because it is closer) and be mighty dissapointed. I'm curious how walmart will handle that.

Nifty! ETA to add "THANK YOU!" cause I hit tab before I hit enter and submitted the post too soon.. Ahh. One of those days. -
Pardon me while I go pull my hair out, now. My MIL loves LOST and DH & I want to get her the boxset ... but Target & BB are both 2+ hours away and there's no way I can get over there anytime soon to get it for her. Bummer.

Last year I bought DH a DVD player and his favorite movie on DVD (Blade .. the first one.. then for his birthday he got the second one lol So for Christmas this year he'll get the 3rd one. lol) One thing nobody's mentioned that I know my DH loves is Camping Equipment A big roomy tent, lanterns, portable coleman stove, and a weekend to his favorite campground (or make a new favorite just for the two of you )

I'm surprised admin didn't just set up a store with Cafepress ... Could've made some seriously moo-lah to help out with the site for next year.
