I am really ready now! as this is my first year at BF. sears will definitely be my first stop. going to get the under cabinet tv radio for my dad. saw lots of stuff i will be getting. only 4 wks. left!!!

I defenitely plan on using most of the freebies, like the cologne, perfumes, mugs, pens, makeup, others too. I think it is a great idea. Will save me some money on small stuff too.

My MIL just had the "talk" with my 13 yr. old sil. up until a few days ago she still believed, and now I think her 8 yr. old bro is getting suspicious. It makes me sad because I know that one day my own son will ask these questions. But of course, i will say he does. I like all those of you who say if you don't believe he won't come or something to that extent. I will tell my son that when he asks. he is only 1 now. hopefully, not for many years.

do you think it is ok to give gifts from a thrift or consignment shop? what would you do if you received gifts from these shops?

I have always sent pics the past couple of years (after getting married), but now we live in the same town as most of my family. I will still send to friends and relatives out of town, but not sure yet about those here.

"They should offer a substantial gift card to the first 20 or so people in lin. Something at least $50 would be nice. Add to the incentive to be out there for hours in the freezing cold.Although, last year I would have been happy with free hand warmers" I used to work for stein mart a couple of years ago and they gave out gc up to about $100 i think it was. couldn't get any cause i was employee. but might go if they do it again this year. They handed them out in envelopes, in each envelop was a gc or coupons.

i too am new at this. but only the shopping on bf cause i always had to work and never got out in time for door busters (thanks to working retail). needless to say i am stoked. thanks for all the great tips everyone.

my son's first birthday is dec. 15 so i started stocking up early for the double whammy.I have gotten a leap frog table, pj's, sippers, couch, some trucks and cars. and still can't wait till bf. for more sales. trying to get sales to save $.
