I try to wrap as I buy. I already have about 8 gifts wrapped. I wrapped them back in September. I use a different wrapping for everyone so I have tons of wrapping paper. Santa wraps each of the kids in different paper too. If I were to add up the amount of time I wrap it would probably be around 2-4 hours. We don't usually have a ton of stuff to wrap so it really doesn't take me that long. I sometimes lock myself in my room to wrap presents while my husband watches my daughter. We do put gifts together from Santa. We usually do that Christmas Eve. This year my daughter is getting a trampoline so my husband, his dad, and the boys are going to put it together after I get her to bed. This will probably be a night that I let her get in my bed and then I lay down with her so she will go to sleep early...lol. I do need a few more rolls of paper though.

Does anyone know if you can start a layaway on BF? Has anyone ever done this before? I could not find anywhere that says you can't. Thanks.

I started BF shopping when my boys were about 3. I only went to our local Walmart that year, but I fell in love with it. My friend and I always went together, except the year her kids were sick with the flu. They boys are now 13 and we have a 5 year old daughter now also. This will be the first year that myhusband is going to go with me BF shopping. He is not very excited about it, but I am hoping after he sees all the great deals that he will change his mind. I really have not changed the way I shop a whole lot. I did make the mistake of going to another Walmart one year and promised myself that I would never do it again. We live in a small town and even though our Walmart is crowded, it is not nearly as crowded as the bigger Walmarts. I usually do not go after the big ticket items, but this year that may change. One of my kids is wanting a PS3 and I would really like to get them both a new laptop each. But I am not sure if our finances will allow that..lol. The biggest thing I have learned is the same thing you said. My friend and I go out to save money that year, but we also went out to just enjoy the day. That was our only day to go without kids and without husbands..lol. This year since I may need some big ticket items, I may have the boys to go with us to Walmart so they can sit in line while I get the other stuff we need..

I hope I get mine tomorrow. I can't wait!!! My husband just laughted at me and rolled his eyes when I made the comment that I had to see if my shirt came in the mail..lol.

I think all we have a CD player and cigarette lighter. I am going to get out the book and see if it has any hidden inputs.

I wish my van had an outlet for an MP3 player. Is there a way to hook one up another way? If so, I would love to get me an MP3 player. We live in a small town and there is hardly anything any good on the radio..

We do 1 gift for each child Christmas Eve. The rest is Christmas morning. My boys are 13 so Santa isn't an issue for them but is for my 5 year old daughter. I will probably always have the Christmas morning tradition though. I just think it makes it more special. I love the look on the kids faces when they see something else wrapped for them under the tree that wasn't there the night before.

Yeah me too. That would work out great for me!! Does anyone know if Kmart allows you to put things on layaway Black Friday.

It was a good movie. I have been watching Christmas movies all weekend (when i didn't have anything else to do). I am so excited about Hallmark's lineup this year.

I have bought a few small things for my daughter. they were all on clearance throughout the year. I do have a layaway at Walmart right now also. I am waiting to see what they have these Saturday sales to see if I can put anything else on layaway. I always buy for my kids first also. I have not gotten my boys anything yet. It has also been a tough year financially for us. So we will do what we can. The boys are 13 so they do understand. My 5 year old would not understand, but we can get by with cheaper stuff for her.. I usually do about 90% of my Christmas shopping BF. I am worried this year though because DH doesn't have much work coming in (he is in construction). As long as I can get the boys at least 1 big thing to share and then get them a few smaller gifts and get my daughter a few things we will be fine.

I think that if everyone complains to the stores then they may at least go back to the midnight openings and forget about the 10pm. openings.. I am definitely going to leave a comment on the Walmart facebook page that I liked their sale start time much better last year..The other stores don't really affect me bc I always go to Walmart first since it is the only major retail store in our area.

I am glad that I heard wrong then...lol. I am really hoping that they will be a BF item again this year. I would love to get one for around 70.00 or less.

I wish their shipping wasn't so high!! I am not sure if my Walmart will price match because at the bottom of the ad it says prices may be different at TRU Express. This is the disadvantage of a small town!!!

I will definitely have to price match the operation game at Walmart. Our closest TRU is 45 minutes (and is an express) but our local Walmart price matches Target that is in that same town. So, I would think they would price match TRU also. I will have to go first thing in the morning and pray they still have it!!

I did not see anything about a special sale last Sunday and I check gottadeal everyday. I found out about the sale from gottadeal..:) But it was also advertised on their website. Our Walmart didn't have much set up when we got there at 11:30. we walked around for a little while because one of the customer service managers said that they were checking to see what they could do about cupcakes. I came back about 30 minutes later and they still had no cupcakes. I kindof hope it stays quiet like this though. That way when they have something on sale I need, no one will know about it....lol..

Me and my daughter were singing Christmas songs this morning..lol.

I went to our Walmart this morning and took my daughter. she was looking forward to getting a cupcake and balloon. Well they didn't have either!!!! They had just started setting out the stuff that was on the super saturday flyer..lol. As usual none of the employees had a clue until a customer asked!!!! LOL.

I had read soemwhere that htey have discontinued the DSlites. I was really hoping to get one for my daughter also. I think that it will be the DSi on sale. I bet they will be on sale for around 99.00 since they are 149 now.

I wish it would hurry up and get leaked...lol. I am so ready to know what they have!!!

Yeah he knows. I had already told him that. I think he saw a commercial for the PS3 and couldn't believe how real it looked. Does the Xbox360 look as good?

Yeah, I will definitely ask him, but I am thinking it is because he and his twin brother have a PS2 and they love it. They are not big video game players, but they do like to play their sports and hunting/fishing. I think that most of the football games that they play come out on all systems. I am not sure about the hunting/fishing games. The only reason he wants a new system is so they can both have one now that they have their own room. Thanks for the advice.
