  1. This would be good for my daughter. Her plug is kind of hard to get to (behind her night stand) so this would make it easier to charge her stuff. She is getting an Apple Watch for Christmas and she has an iphone and airpods (not sure if hers will be compatible though) so it will be perfect. https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-Station-Charger-AirPods/dp/B0B3RC6M94/ref=pd_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=fwUP4&content-id=amzn1.sym.225b4624-972d-4629-9040-f1bf9923dd95%3Aamzn1.symc.40e6a10e-cbc4-4fa5-81e3-4435ff64d03b&pf_rd_p=225b4624-972d-4629-9040-f1bf9923dd95&pf_rd_r=5NWAG7M5C5QYT0WF5A8Y&pd_rd_wg=c5Neu&pd_rd_r=f56e4114-4f4d-4511-87f9-ec3ffd2c4389&pd_rd_i=B0B3RC6M94

She is 17 and is planning to major in music (vocal) when she goes to college, but after she gets her degree, she plans to go back and get a cosmetology license, nail tech license, and esthetician license. She just can't choose between music and the cosmetology field so I told her why choose, do both. So this would be a great gift for her.
  3. I wasn't able to purchase the disney gift cards early, I had to wait until a few minutes past midnight for those. I didn't need anything else, but I did check some of the other doorbuster deals and they were all able to be purchased early. So, I guess it was only certain items that could be purchased early. Hope you were able to get them at midnight.
  4. I've heard from a fairly reliable source that the first sale for Walmart will be Nov. 10. So, hopefully we will see the ad sometime this week.
  5. So glad to see the Disney Gift cards on sale!
  6. We are giving our daughter and niece a trip to Disney World and Universal Studios for Christmas. We won't go until the end of January though. So, I am hoping to score some good deals on Disney Gift Cards. I know Sam's Club usually has a 200.00 or 500.00 one on sale every year, so hoping that continues. I also hope to score a deal on a Paw Patrol Switch game for my nephew. Other than that, I just need some makeup and nail stuff for my daughter and a few other small gifts for other family/friends. I am also looking to get a deal on luggage (I need one and then we need one or two smaller bags for things such as toiletries, deodorant, etc.) I've honestly done a good bit of my shopping already because of sales and clearance items I've found throughout the year.
  7. Walmart: 2 55" TVs--one for living room to replace our 32" that broke and one for our daughter's room for Christmas Ring light kit (for daughter) pair of jeans for hubby to work in Monkeyball (Switch) Mario Party (Switch) Cuddleduds blanket (for aunt) one DVD Kohls: several Kohls throws Jeans for hubby a shirt (for friend) and a shirt for father in law Temu: I had never heard of them but saw on a YouTube channel so checked them out. They just happened to be running a BF special. A few dresses Cow print shoes for daughter cow print wallet for daughter bracelets/earrings and a few other small items I did go in Walmart for the first sale so I could get my 2nd TV. There wasn't anyone there. There were only three people in line when I got there, one wasn't there for sales and the other one was a truck driver who just stopped to get snacks..lol. By the time I checked out, there were more people in the store but from what I could see, most were there for just regular shopping. I am still going BF shopping Friday with a friend, but for, probably, the first time ever, I am just going to browse and don't really have anything specific I need.
  8. I've already done a good bit of my shopping online and, honestly, not much as really jumped out at me. The few things that I really want, I will probably just get online. My friend and I will still go BF shopping though. She has younger ones as well as teens so she may have certain things she needs. But, otherwise, it is just gonna be a relaxing BF shopping day. I will ad that I probably need to look through all the ads again since there are some that I glanced at.
  9. Nothing that jumps out at me. The TV is a good price, but we bought the 55" TV for 188 during the first sale. I will probably pick up the markers (as I do every year) and maybe a Switch game or two. I will also probably pick up a few toys for donation.
  10. I have to agree with jesusluvu that the $130.00 Kitchenaid stand mixer is a good price and that the luggage set is a good price. Also, the 3 piece duffel bag set for 19.00! I also agree with Brad that the Nintendo DS is also a great deal! This was a fun contest. It was fun to see prices back in the "good ole days"..lol
  11. It took me 15 minutes but I was able to get the 55" TV for 188, 6 towels, and 2 TV mounts. So, I'm happy.
  12. So far here is what I've bought: For my friends two youngest daughters (4 and 7): I got them each a Stitch throw. I got one of them a dress (I bought the other one a dress a few weeks ago) I got my husband two pair of Sonoma jeans I got three throw blankets (one for me, one for my husband, and one for my daughter). It is becoming a tradition to buy all of us one for Christmas. And I got myself a pair of fleece pants I normally buy sweaters for my daughter from Kohls, but she just hasn't really liked any of their sweaters this year. I earned 30.00 in Kohls cash as well.
  13. We are trying to plan a trip to Disney/Universal next November. I saw a teaser with the Disney Gift Cards and it says limit of 2. Hopefully, I can pick up two of those. I'm just hoping the sale isn't the bigger amounts only.
  14. This is horrible. I hope they do have an actual flyer/ad for in-store shopping. I did join plus membership so I can hopefully snag the TCL 55 inch TV for 188.00. As luck would have it, our living room TV just messed up. There is a line running all the way down and all the way across (almost in the middle). The bottom half of the TV is distorted. It was working fine when I left to take my daughter to work and when I came home it looked like that. Not sure what happened but thankful that it happened when TVs are on sale..lol. So, we will be without a TV in the living room until at least Monday (probably longer if I can't pick up in store).
  15. Can't today is last day of October. Happy halloween
  16. 1. Which store do you think will have the best Black Friday sale(s) this year? I think that really depends on what you need, but I am going to say for me, it will probably be Walmart. 2. Do you anticipate shopping in stores on Black Friday this year? Feel free to explain why or why not. Yes. I will do some BF shopping online, especially for those I would have to stand in line for in-store. But I love being in the store and shopping. 3. What one aspect of past Black Fridays would you like to see brought back? One aspect of past Black Fridays I wish they would bring back is that all sales would actually be on Black Friday (or at least the week of). I hate having three different sales at Walmart. And I hate all these pre-BF sales..
  17. I kind of wonder if they will release it after the sale Oct. 26th. I wouldn't have even known about it if not looking at TVs. There was a TV priced at 398.00 and under that price it said 198.00 Oct. 26. It is a sale for plus members only. I don't know if it is a one day sale or what but I am hoping that they release the ad after this sale ends.
  18. I completely agree. I also don't like that it is on Wednesday mornings in store. It is hard for me to get there during the week. Depending on what's on sale, I may pay for the plus membership for a month so I can buy early online.
  19. I am a stay at home mom and have been for most of our almost 26 years of marriage. But I worked at our local 911 center for 5 years. I would volunteer to work Thanksgiving morning so I could have Thanksgiving night off (when they were doing sales on Thanksgiving). In 2020, I worked a 12 hour shift Thanksgiving Day and took off Black Friday.
  20. The problem is that I believe our phones are being faded out by the end of next year anyway. So, we will have to upgrade anyway. We were also hoping to get better phones. But, I think we have decided to wait. We just don't want to add an extra expense right now with how shaky our economy is.
  21. Everyone tearing through the tape at Walmart and grabbing their favorite DVDs
  22. We are considering updating our iphones. We have the SE (2nd edition) and use Total Wireless (which was recently bought out by Verizon). With Verizon I can get our daughter the 13 max pro for 9.99 per month, the pro for 5.00 per month, and the mini for free. I can also get 200.00 Verizon gift card per line for switching over. I just don't know if I will get a better deal. My total would be around 185.00/month which is about 100.00 more than we are paying now. Would you wait or go ahead and jump on it. The pro max would be a Christmas gift for our daughter and I will ask if we can wait until mid-late December to activate (I definitely want it under the tree). If not, then I would have to pay Total Wireless for two months and the Verizon bill.
