Not at our Walmart. I talked to the manager tonight and he said we can only put items on layaway that are leftover. He said we can't push our stuff in the cart all night.

I talked to our manager today and asked him how they were going to do the big ticket items. They are actually doing the ticket system this year. Thank goodness!! I told him that my boys were going to be in a line and I was going to be in a line and didn't feel comfortable giving them 200.00. He said that we will be allowed to meet in the front so that I can pay for it at once. My husband will also be with us. I am putting one of them in line to get the trampoline and one in line for the Xbox. The other one is going to stand in line for the camera. I am going to go get a few video games and stuff like that.

That is what I was going to say. I did get bad news though. I talked to our manager and at our Walmart they are not going to allow you to hold things in your cart or anything like that. You can only put it on layaway if there are items left... I told him well then I'm sorry but I am going to have to go to Kmart to get some of my stuff. I told him I don't have 800.00 cash to spend right at this moment. I told him that I had much rather do business in our town but since they won't allow us to put it on layaway I don't have a choice.

I believe that the Xbox starts at 10. It is beside a page that says 10 PM. I am also going for the Xbox and I am going to be there about 7 or 8.

I hope that we can pay for it all at once because nearly everything I want is at the 10 PM Sale so my husband is going to be in one line, each of the boys in another, and I am going to be trying to get a few of the small things at 10 PM.

Ok. They have changed their wording online. Here is what it says now "Layaway will be available on Friday, Nov. 25. starting at 8:00 am. Items included in the "limited time" or "while supplies last" 10 PM and midnight events will not be eligible for layaway during those time event." http://www.walmart.com/cp/Layway/1088466

They put out a Christmas guarantee that says they will give you a gc for the difference. But it has to be the exact same item. I believe if Walmar puts it on sale that they will do a price adjustment.

I am taking my twin boys this year, they are 13. They are going to each stand in their own line. Thankfully we live in a small town and we know most that are there. I am sure that some of their friends will also be in line..lol. They are going to stand in line for the Xbox and PS3.

At our store we had to wait until they unwrapped them at the time specified. But every store is different.

See that is what makes it confusing. I knew that the 8 am stuff would be available but what the stuff at 10 and midnight. It doesn't say that you can't put it on layaway, it just says that you can't put it on layway before 8 am. But they told me that you couldn't do it all.. UGH!!! I wish they would know for sure. I think that I am going to print it and take it to the manager and point out that it how it reads! Because the way it is worded you can put it on layaway but you just have to wait until 8.

Alot of those are already online. I am still disappointed that there are not any better deals on the Nintendo DS lite or the DSi or DSiXL. I do not want the 3DS..lol.

I went to go talk to our manager today but he was not in. So I asked the person that works layaway. They said that they are not going to allow BF items (10 pm & midnight stuff) to be put on layaway. I am going back to talk to the manager when he is in to find out for sure. Our Walmart is always the last to know everything though so I am not counting on the employee to know for sure..lol. If I talk to him and he says no, then I am going to tell him that I am sorry they are losing some of my business. I will have to go to Kmart since they allow layaway that day!

I didn't know that. Well they price match some at our store that is over 50 miles!!!

Thanks for your input. I bought a Kodak about 5 or 6 years ago. It was around 150.00-200 for the camera, case, batteries, charger, and SD card. It lasted me about 4 1/2 years and took great pics up until the end. Then last year I used my mom's Kodak camera. It was about 2 years old. The pics did not even come close to the camera that I had earlier. I will just be glad to have a camera again. I have missed so much by not having one.. I will probably be getting myself the Kodak and then I think I am going to Kmart and getting my boys the Fujifilm. They want their own camera and I don't have the extra cash to get 3 cameras. So, i will put them a camera on layaway at Kmart.

This is the number 1 thing on my daughter's list. She is 5 so she is about the same age as the boys were when they got one. They are 13 now so we've already told them they are not allowed on the trampoline together. They can get on and jump with her (very carefully) and they can get on alone..lol.

Yeah, we love our straight talk phones.

So you are going to be able to wonder around the store with the Xbox in your cart? I was hoping to be able to get the PS3, the cameras at 12 and a trampoline. I know I can't put the trampoline on layaway but the rest I could. This would really help me out so I wouldn't have to go to Kmart to do a layaway for the PS3. I've got to go to town tomorrow anyway, so I may run in there and ask our manager and pray that they are going to allow it also. This would help me hide my gifts for a little longer and to help me out BF since there were some things I was not going to be able to get if I had to pay cash for it BF.

I always use the rechargable batteries for my cameras. They work very well.

I will have to check their toys. I may take back the Lalaloopsy that I got the other day and then buy them Thursday. I bought them when they were B1G1 1/2 off but an extra 10% would be an extra dollar saved!

But it does say "prior to 8 am". So I guess if you want something such as a camera or something that you can walk around in the store with until 8:00 am, then you can put it on layaway. The way they have it worded is kind of confusing. mtsuboy do you have anything to add?
