mscrapper Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Awesome! I am so in the mood for Christmas!
stacy0479 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 1 of our Walgreens already has Christmas decorations up!
bigjimslade Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 My dad who is in upper management told me they have been dealing with xmas since June. It comes early for him every year. I dont want to gross anyone out but he also told me that the candy canes arrive in the DC's around March.
holl Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I have a farm and fleet store by me. Does anyone know if there is an early morning rush of people waiting to get in? I noticed they have the zhu zhu pets and I would love to get a couple for my family. I hope they actually have some on Saturday!
angelbabymommy Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I dont want to gross anyone out but he also told me that the candy canes arrive in the DC's around March.Lol. Thats ok ; my candy canes are solely for decoration, they almost never get eaten.
arci122 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 How long do you think the candy in the dollar store is out for????
Hummin Bird Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 My dad who is in upper management told me they have been dealing with xmas since June. It comes early for him every year. I work for a company that respresents Mars and my kids have been eating xmas candy since May, right now they are actually eating Easter candy lol. I got a box full of dove bunny rabbits on my desk as I type this. Alot of products take awhile to go through marketing and advertising. Like the Glade air freshner, Ive been using the Bayberry Spice since mid June lol and thats apart of the new holiday collection that just went on to shelves a couple weeks ago.
Breeze Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Go into any Lowe's and they'll have damaged/discontinued appliances discounted. I bought a $1000 fridge for $600 because it had 2 small scratches on the front. Nothing that a little black magic marker couldn't fix. Be sure to ask them if they'll take X amount of dollars less for what they have it marked at.
mongoose Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I don't know where to post it, so forgive me. But Macmall.com is having '5 weeks' of black friday deals... http://www.macmall.com/n/Black-Friday-Deals/macCustomPages-1007
Brad Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 They are actually having 12 consecutive "Black Fridays". http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1412508-10713791 I'm afraid a lot of retailers are going to run this whole BF thing into the ground this year. You can call something a BF sale all you want, but if the deals are awful, people aren't stupid and you won't sell anything.

arci122 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I don't feel too bad for them.......think about the health care workers that work Christmas, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, heck, they are open 365 days a year......I worked in retail and most of us put the blackfriday stuff on lay a way that had to work on BF, and then got the price matches that day......it all washes out in the end.
doublehsmom Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I just went and got some toys at the toy land sale and man let me tell you I really really really can't wait now for black friday! waiting in line and the rush of people made me feel like it was already the day....and after I left Farm and Fleet it was weird coming home and not going to anyother stores!..lol..
bfaddict1977 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I am looking for a killer deal on a stroller/carseat. That's the only baby item I have left to buy and I was wondering if babies r us does bf like tru does? Or does target or walmart do a good deal up on baby items on bf?
Mommax3 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Our Target had a travel system in their ad this week. It's Graco but I can't remember exactly what model. The carseat/stroller combo is on sale for $99 which I thought was a heck of a deal.
stacy0479 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I PM'ed Brad a couple weeks ago asking this question and he said they do not have a BF sale.
cashandra Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I recieved it yesturday, and the kids are going nuts circling things today in it. Now, to find the best deals on the toys they want :)
cashandra Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 how can i get one??I received mine in the mail, so I don't know for sure. Maybe they will have them in the stores?
wnc_mom Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 hmmm i usally steer clear of the mall but i think i will this yr if the deals are good which they ALWAYS have sales anyway! lol
wnc_mom Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 oh & to answer ur Q yes they do it usally isnt much but it something i cant quite remember?
bigjimslade Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 CVS to reward customers who reuse shopping bags http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/SE/20091019/BUSINESS/910190322
AndreaInNC Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 ugh .. you have to buy a card and keep up with it. After 4 trips to CVS, you'll get your money back via an ECB .. but I have so many dang cards now!
angelbabymommy Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 when does amazon.com start having those killer sales? me & another GD'er were talking about how we found the Hannah Montana guitar last year for $11.98, original price $49.99.
freesia39 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 It would have been better if they just tied the promo to the regular ECB card - such as making the cashier scan something to make it "register" that I used a reusable bag. I don't have the card on my keys - I keep it in my wallet, and I don't want to go looking for another one!
