  1. One extra day for everyone to check in for February!
  2. Happy Lunar New Year. May the year of the dragon bring you health and prosperity.
  3. Haha good job me. I couldn't read and thought the thread was the old 2023 thread. oh well. Happy December everyone! only 31 days left in this year.
  4. Oh. I guess I bought an iPad. I wasn't looking to buy one, but my old one decided to be tempermental, the cover just broke, and well, the 9th gen is on sale.
  5. Yeah, it's so hard to find printed papers nowadays...
  6. I find it always depends on your needs that particular year, but also a reframing of expectations - things are just more expensive now than they used to be, so how do we reframe how much something should cost.
  7. You might want to try the sporting goods stores - like Dick's. But your son needs to let you know what he needs or the two of you need to go together to ensure he gets the driver he needs as there are a lot of options. EXAMPLE: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/ping-g425-max-driver-20pngmg425mxdrvrxdrv/20pngmg425mxdrvrxdrv It looks like some of the sale has already started, I don't know if there will be more: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/search/SearchDisplay?searchTerm=ping driver&storeId=15108&catalogId=12301&langId=-1&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&showResultsPage=true&fromPage=Search&searchSource=Q&pageView=&beginIndex=0&DSGsearchType=Keyword&pageSize=48&selectedStore=1401
  8. They have holiday cards on sale, so I'm good!
  9. Dear Nintendo - Please make a GameBoy classic. Yes, I'm exposing how old I am, but I'd rather use that than a switch because I'm old.
  10. I've never really had a "nest" so different perspective, but we really enjoy traveling during the holidays, especially if you can make it to a place that is great at celebrating the holidays. Or just enjoy the time to yourselves if you can.
  11. My coworkers and I had been debating buying an air fryer to leave in our kitchen. Hmm.
  12. I've seen people leave a cooler out with drinks in them and a sign saying "thank you! take one" and a basket of snacks (chips, crackers, etc, things that can stand the heat) if you need thoughts/ideas. Maybe it is a UPS thing - our UPS guy always presses the doorbell on our ring (we have the peephole one, so it's not as obvious) and is always in a good mood.
  13. Each year we see the viral videos of people leaving snacks and other small gifts for delivery drivers. Do you know your local delivery driver? I feel like the UPS guy knows us. Will you leave anything out for them for the holidays as a thank you? What have you seen done that you thought was a nice gesture of appreciation?

  15. I can't believe this month is nearly over.
  16. If you want a powerful blender, then the Vitamix is for you. If you're happy with the Ninja and it meets your needs, look into the Vitamix to see if it is worth the $500 for you. And of course, watch "will it blend?" on youtube. Haven't had a chance to browse yet, since I don't really "need" anything right now.
  17. That's probably a smart move for Overstock - BB&B has the better long term brand recognition.
