Rebirth Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 It never rained or snowed during many of my BFs. If it did, that wouldn't stop me. But it might not some others.
TENIA66 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I have stood in the snow twice in 9 years.......Stupid me, but we loved it!!
peachysquirt21 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Last year it started snowing some after we was out. If it's snowing really bad, freezing rain my mom wont go.
tdanette Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 No, thank goodness. Not sure that would stop me, a good sale brings out the postman's motto in me!
Tracy72 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 never any snow but rain.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....them crazy umbrellas are just a nuisance
CrayZMama80 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 In all the year's I've been out on BF, it's done both quiet often. Last year was the worst tho, 11 below zero. At least if it's snowing, it's usually above those temps.
Christy Garner Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I don't recall getting snow or rain, I think a little drizzle on time. This year, I hope it doesn't rain or snow.
katladyracing Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Last year it was absolutely pouring buckets. We were dreched just going from the car to the line.
able Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 yes ...i remember both... come to think of it it didnt stop anyone.
bugsette Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I live in Ohio..... we get both snow/rain and very cold
elena_398 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Its done both over the years. I'd rather deal with rain though than snow. Last year it got a bit nasty. Slick roads and icy cold conditions. Didn't stop me though. Wore scarf/mittens and heated up the car and headed out. lol
starshine Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Oh yeah I have had both and also 80 degree weather you can never tell in Upstate NY what you are going to get.
ChrisKsAngel Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Oh yeah... Three years ago it was raining and I stood in the rain with my sis and mom in front of Toys R Us. The icing on the cake? I was sick and throwing up. lol It was still very much worth it! :)
bogie Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I went to two BFs, both were snowing, but that did not stop people in Michigan
elena_398 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Im just hoping weather is ok this year. Im fine in a light coating of snow, but its the slick roads that worry me.
rbellville Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Last year I wouldn't have gone if I was driving. It snowed that early moring with a freezing rain mix. It was cold and the wind was blowing waiting in that Wal-mart line. The weather already is below our average this year.
jadedmomof2 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Yep, that's why I went to Walmart so early last year, the snow started coming at about 11:30, and was still going at 12:30, so I decided to head into town(I'm 20 minutes out of town) If I'd waited until the time I was going to leave(4am)it would've taken me forever to get into town.
BabyFu18 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Kelly I was just going to post our Toys R Us story! Yeah it's worth standing in the rain on BF for good deals, I'm not really willing to stand outside in the cold and rain for much else.
J_Man Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Here in Louisiana it's rained 1 year so bad that it was flooding. I didn't want to go but my wife did. I hated every second of it. There wasn't even anything to go out for. Wouldn't you know it, no sooner than the sales were over the rain stopped. That's was the worst time I had, plus I got sick after all of it and didn't get well until after Christmas. I won't go out again in rain like that. It's only been threats of rain, but nothing happening since then. Last year it was forecast for rain but the clouds broke when the sun came up. I got a 28" HD TV for $350. That was worth the effort of going out.
bayhaysay Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I know that it has never snowed on BF and I don't remember ever having rain either. It's usually really nice weather in AR at the end of Nov. We'll start out the day in coats and end up in t-shirts.
Daisimae Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 No, it hasn't. But I keep a HUGE brand new plastic tarp in the car, just for this reason. It's large enough to cover over me sitting in my chair, on all sides down to the ground. I usually go to CC or Staples first. Both stores have overhangs near the front door. So, if I get there early enough the over hang and tarp should handle the problem if it is raining.
Novac Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Oh yeah I have had both and also 80 degree weather you can never tell in Upstate NY what you are going to get.I was going to say the same thing . . . except if you're betting, the money is on "snow"
lindabacker Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I just oved from Suffolk Virginia to Jacksonville Florida, so I have no idea what kind of weather to expect here, although I am pretty sure there wont be any snow.
neice0510 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Well I'm in the Pacific Northwest so BF is right in the rainy season. I don't remember a BF without rain sometime during the day. Doesn't bother me though and forget the umbrella just a raincoat here. We only get snow maybe once or twice doesn't get that cold here.
BFQueenofNY Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I live in Western NY, it is quite common for it to have just finished snowing or in the middle of. Not for nothing but I will take a snowy night any day over a -12 degree night which is what we had last year
love2beurwifey Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 It has never snowed or rained that I know of even if it did I was to excited to notice it.
