I've posted this story before but it still cracks me up thinking about it. I was waiting for our mall to open to get into KB Toys. It was chilly and raining but those of us first in line were under an over hang. A woman came up in a wheelchair and asked if she could just get up by us under the over hang to get out of the rain. Of course we let her right up by the doors and everyone chatted and passed the time. Well as soon as those doors opened this woman sprang up like a bolt of lightening hit her and RAN into the mall and right into the toy store!! Those of us that let her up there were in shock and couldn't help but laugh, one yelled "It's a Miracle!!! "

LOL our son would looove a jar of pickles... the bigger the better! Our other son would looove pickled garlic! Yep our family is a bit "off"

This may be a really dumb question, but when I try to reply to something it asks me to "reply as" then it gives options like FB, Yahoo, Hotmail etc.. why is it asking this if I'm logged in here already as motoXmom? I don't want to log in with FB or whatever, I just want to be able to hit reply as motoXmom and have it post. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or does any of this even make sense!? lol Thank you for any help you can give me!!

I remember when our youngest son was 3 and at Christmas he didn't even want to open anything after he seen a plastic toy Lion in his stocking! He carried it around the rest of the day. The video of it is hysterical! rofl Those were the days Now I'm pretty much going crazy trying to come up with ideas!

I heard this on our news and squealed with delight! lol Hey I'm gettin older, it doesn't take much anymore

We have Thanksgiving dinner at our house and with such little family still alive I won't be going out that evening. I'd much rather spend the time with family because you don't know if they'll be around for the next. Now with that being said if they have to leave early then all bets are off! rofl

Hmm never heard of this. I make my own vanilla, it tastes sooo much better than store bought and a lot cheaper! Where do you find this paste?

While I know the contest is over I still thought I'd share a tip. I get Therma care(or generic) heat wraps! I wrap one around my waist to keep cold air from going up the back of my coat and have even wrapped one around thighs or where ever gets really cold When it comes close to store opening I just take them off and throw them out. I use to dress in layers but got a bit bulky and if I'm by myself just more to carry, so switched to these and they work great!

I know here there were a TON of young kids - teens and I don't think they have a lot of money to be spending. Our mall was packed with them.. not saying it in a bad way just many looked like they were just hanging out not buying. In years past I hardly seen any out and about buying.

I have to say I'm one that doesn't like the 9, 10 or Midnight openings. I love love love BF but refuse to give up time with family. Anyway the most exciting thing I got this year was the Disney Carousel from Sears! lol Our grand daughter will love it with the rest of our Christmas display. This year our 15 yr old son actually talked my DH into taking him to Kohls! LOL They went there and I was going to hit Target but after seeing the line was at least 4 deep and down the building and all the way down a really long plaza I turned and seen a nice app 10 person line at Ulta! lol I found quite a few items for MIL and DIL some I hadn't really thought of until I seen them and thought hey that would be great for xxx etc. After there I went to Target and everyone there was sooooo nice and helpful! Huge Thanks to all the workers that seemed to be able to keep a simle on through it all. Even seen some people I went to school with and haven't seen in a few years, that was nice. After my DH & son were done in Kohls I got a text from DS to see if he could come with me so I had a partner for the rest of BF this year. That's new I always go it alone! But DH & DS came to Target and waited in line with me then DH went home and DS & I finished BF shopping. We actually had a blast and laughed so much and so hard I think we both had tears running down our faces!! After Target we hit the Mall and Sears! Thanks to him for helping me :)

LOL Here I thought it was only our kid that would ask for pickles! DS asked for them a few years ago and my father bought a HUGE jar of them from Sams I think. DS was so happy.ROFL

We're going through this as well,our oldest just moved out this past June. I would like to get him a couple practical gifts- such as gas cards, gift cards for Giant Eagle things like that. Then probably for stores like FYI or somewhere like that so he can get maybe games or cds he may want but can't afford right now.

See this is what happens to me! lol Sometimes I get a few small items, a little here a little there and when I get home from shopping I TRY to put them somewhere I'll remember but we all know how well that's working for me! We really need more storage in this house. We usually put the main stuff in the attic because there's just nowhere else to put it. So when I pick up those little things I can't keep running up into the attic to get them with the rest of the stuff.

You all have NO idea how much better I feel knowing I'm not the only one! ROFL This is just too funny. This year one of my dads got mixed up with the IL's gifts so when I see him for New Years. And we always find things I stuffed here or there for the stockings or whatever. One year for our oldest sons Bday I couldn't find one of his music CD's we got him. I have the receipt but to this day can't find the CD. That was about 8 yrs ago! I know I had it but never found where I had put it. Oh well maybe one day if we ever move from here, I'll find it then!

See my DH thinks I'm NUTS to HAVE to have Friskies Turkey&Giblets for them on Thanksgiving and Christmas. rofl! Yeah I'm not the only one!!!! They all get treat bags from Santa along with my dads dog and cat. Can't forget them! Now I have to show my hubby this thread, so he sees how normal I really am.
