bluebear Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Happy first day of spring! It is currently 27 degrees here in Georgia. I woke up this morning again to the sound of a helicopter. I live about a mile from a farm, and the peach trees have already bloomed. They are okay until about 28 degrees. The farm brings in a helicopter to help push the warm air down around the trees, gaining about 2 degrees. Pretty neat, actually. We'll probably have 1 more day of helicopters this week... and by the end of the week, we are expected to hit 80! 2
Kash Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Blast it. I missed my February check-in. Ah well. Happy March everyone! That's what I get for coughing and fracturing two ribs after I got the flu. Oh my goodness… hope your feeling better.

magickallight Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Turkey is defrosting to begin prepping for Passover Seder. I am jealous - can't get a whole turkey anywhere in this town!
Gator Pam Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I am jealous - can't get a whole turkey anywhere in this town! It was given out at Christmas by International Nutritional Sustainability Partners (I try to fundraise for them with my Facebook birthday fundraiser each year), along with the half ham I'm making on Easter. Since we do standing rib roast on Christmas, I've kept both in my freezer for this season. 1
packratfamily Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 March is almost over in a blink. Spring is poking it’s head out -daffodils are up, and my crazy almost-year round blooming magnolia has buds. And best of all we have a camping trip scheduled. 1
