My boss got me a stanley for my birthday back in July. I had no idea they were so popular. Couldn't figure out why she was so excited for me to open it! Happy Birthday!

I've always heard horror stories about BF shopping with people pushing and shoving and being particularly mean but I've never seen it myself. One year I was looking for a mattress topper at Walmart (for my sister I think). There were a lot of people standing around the pallet and I was thinking oh no, this is going to be the year. When they took the paper off the pallet, everybody started asking what size other people were looking for and handing them over to the other side. Everybody got what they wanted/needed. Was very grateful for the area we live in and the people we share our space with.

I'm not much of a cook or baker, but these look and sound really good 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes 2 cups leftover chopped cooked turkey 2 cups leftover stuffing 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons canola oil Unsweetened applesauce, optional In a large bowl, whisk eggs, onion and pepper. Stir in potatoes, turkey and stuffing. In a large skillet, heat butter and oil over medium-high heat. Working in batches, drop potato mixture by 1/2 cupfuls into skillet; press to flatten slightly. Fry on each side until golden brown and heated through, 4-5 minutes. Drain patties on paper towels. If desired, serve with applesauce. Nutrition Facts 2 patties: 364 calories, 19g fat (6g saturated fat), 118mg cholesterol, 628mg sodium, 28g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 2g fiber), 20g protein.

I wasn't even aware I was doing it, but my DIL informed me that she likes that I get her a purse every year, so I will keep that accidental tradition going. Maybe Michael Kors this year if I can find a good enough deal.

Love Fall weather! Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, but the older I get and with the kids out on their own, it is getting to the point I want to skip Halloween and move on to Thanksgiving and Christmas!
