Oh how I miss plasma I'm waiting to see how the whole OLED thing starts to shake out with their yields finally going up which is helping to bring the pricing down. We will decorate for Christmas most likely the weekend of Thanksgiving. As for a tree well to be honest we have one up all year round in our hallway. It gets decorated to fit the holiday or season at any given time.

I feel bad that you have to buy your own gifts. I listen to hints my wife drops throughout the year and that usually makes up about half of what my daughter and I get for her.

Yes I did get it from Best Buy. Love the TV, has been great, really nice picture lots of good features we use. I am thinking maybe next year we will get a larger one for the bedroom most likely a 60" version (would like the same LG just bigger). This one will most likely get moved to either my office or possibly to my daughter room since we got her the Xbox One S last christmas.

I am thinking about getting the Apple Watch 3 to replace my wife's 1 this year. With the new things it's doing with heat rate tracking and all that I thought about one for myself also. I'm more iffy on it for me though as I don't wear watches or jewelry and stuff so not sure how I would feel about it.

They were trendsetters lol. My b-i-l when he worked retail they told them they show up on they day or don't bother showing up any longer. That's the attitude I didn't like. If someone WANT'S to work that's great if someone would rather be home with family that shouldn't threaten their full time employment.

Pretty much all the ones that I know who were forced to work Thanksgiving would have preferred to not have that money and spend the time at home. I'm sure there are some that will miss it though. Ones of those things where someone on some side won't be happy. I don't like it so I don't shop on that day. I know I won't get the door busters anymore and I'm ok with that. We still go out and have our traditional fun now there just isn't huge crowds lol

I think the only thing that's going to stop them is bankruptcy (many are going out of business), money talks and people flock out to spend the money. I for one do not and won't if I shop on Thanksgiving it's online only.

Honestly any given week HD has some flooring on week. I have never seen anything with them on BF that jumped out as better than their normal sales. We buy flooring there often (flip houses) so we try to grab good stuff when they have good sales.
