I am actually sitting here watching Home Alone right now (dw and dd are both sick) tonight I plan to watch A Christmas Story and possibly The Santa Clause. If they are still down tomorrow might watch Elf and Jingle All The Way.

Does it count that our daughter just randomly starts singing Christmas songs? We have been watching random Christmas movies also.

Never used or known anyone who has used this one. One of my friends has the AtmosFX projector system though and he loves it. Uses it for Halloween and Christmas. My wife and I have thought about picking that one up to add to our display.

Sears usually has a ton of packages on sale. I just bought a package from Lowes of stainless appliances for a house we are flipping. Paid just over $2k for Stove, Fridge (wanted side by side), dishwasher and gas stove. It's Samsung and unlike their washers these seem to be really good quality and had great reviews. Lowes/Home Depot seem to have bundle sales all the time.

It's that time of the year

When we built our new house 2.5 years ago we got all new appliances. After research and talking with the appliance people we ended up getting Maytag, went with the 5.3 cubic ft top load washer and it's matching dryer. Both of them have the steam feature in them and to date have been absolutely flawless in working. We did add the extended warranty to both for nothing other than all the electronics in them. My dad used to own an appliance repair business and he always swore by Maytag being well built and it still seems to be the case from our current experience. We had looked at the Samsung ones but outside of exploding the lady at Home Depot told us they had been having a lot of complaints with them tearing clothes. So that was 2 strikes for them on the washer/dryer front.

We ended up with a 4K for our bedroom last year. Went with the 50" LG 4K. It was a good price for the quality of the set 4K or not. We have watched a few of our TV shows off Netflix in 4K and I have to say for the most part it is nice looking, things definitely look sharper and more detailed. I can't say it's SD to HD type improvement but it's nice none the less. If all things are equal then to me 4K is worth it, nothing lost in getting one for the right price. As for future proofing this is technology just like any other, smart money in tech always tells you nothing is truly future proof.

You can possibly also just replace the KB on the laptop if it's still working. They are usually pretty cheap to buy online and fairly easy to replace.
-
Maybe you have it. They are going to use the VR in stores to pretend like there is no issues and the crowds are all calm and orderly.

Glad you're safe sir. Can't wait for the Webcasts to get going. More we can schedule them ahead of time (know that's hard as the releases are not set) the better it is for me. That way I can plan to be around to join in on the fun.

Most things probably do

I was surprised to find out they had 28 stores left to close to be honest. It seems every other month they close a whole bunch. They talk about saving $1.5B on operating costs, well heck you can save 100% at some point if you just close every store.

I like fall also, we love to head out to the cider mill for some fresh pressed cider and doughnuts along with a nice stroll around the place. Can't wait to see this years shirt
-
I heard they are making a LOT more of them this year.

We add an additional part that's based on finding things on sale in the store that we can use or can use for presents for others. Not on our lists but good deals and the store in questions still has the item when we arrive.

We actually picked up a big gift last night. Got a smoker for our brother inlaw from Walmarts. Was like 75% off the normal price so couldn't pass it up. He has been wanting one.
-
Ya it was kind of creepy, I think someone will end up hacking the new one and make it even creepier lol.
-
Appears it can play music and all that stuff LCD Screen Eyes Bluetooth, App for phones. Too funny. Looks neat and is probably the big thing for people with little kids. Hope my daughter doesn't hear about it and want it.

I was just reading that the huge thing this year is going to be the new Teddy Ruxpin. He is all tech'd up and looks to be about $100 right now from what I saw on Amazon.
-
Ya I have been trying to track one down for my daughter. Can't seem to catch it in stock.
-
Ya we end up there on BF to get things like Lights or some of the other things like maybe snow boots and the like. I just don't go there the rest of the year for things I hold out hope that someone will come along and rescue the once great brands from the not so good people who run it now. I've heard rumors some of the old brands that went away are being resurrected such as Circuit City.

Exactly, all of the super markets around us are either remodeling or building new centers and getting rid of the old. With all of that and Wal Mart and Target doing the same who wants wants to walk into a KMart that looks the same as it did in 1982. Doesn't make for a pleasant shopping experience. Had they updated and kept fresh like the others I think they would still be thriving or at least not dying the slow painful death they are now.

Ya it's getting real now The help thread is up, the previous ad's thread is up. Soon everyone will start returning, stationchief will be looking for people to help with the charts and things will be jumping.

I think the problem is that Kmart never decided to update with the times. Wal Mart has been doing it, Target is good at it. They survive today. Kmart needed to kill of some of the old stores build nicer newer modern ones (or at minimum remodel old ones) you know have the place not look like it's the 70's and we are all shopping there
