Come to think of it when we were at Sams last weekend they had a bunch of Christmas ribbon and stuff out.
-
Wow thats crazy. I haven't seen any at Home Depot around here yet. We go to a Christmas store here called Bronners and that's enough for me until later in the season lol.
-
I think all movies can be like that. You just have to go into them knowing what to expect. I watch a lot of this stuff with my wife but when it comes to Christmas movies I love them all.

The main reason my m-i-l missed the hallmark channel is because she missed all the Christmas movies. She said she got all of them once we signed her up for Feeln. Here is what they say on their site in the about us section: Feeln is the streaming service that brings you heartfelt stories of love and togetherness, anytime, anywhere. Feeln carefully selects every title so you spend less time searching and more time with the stories you love. Feeln brings home the beloved library of Hallmark Hall of Fame features, handpicked Hollywood movies and TV series, and award-winning originals you won't find anywhere else. Hope that helps you out.

Not sure what you're using for your streaming device but you can still get Hallmark. It's call Feeln you sign up online it's a subscription service, we got it for my m-i-l when they cut the cord. She loves it.

Same site I've had bookmarked for years. I check it now and then to see if they have updated

It's odd you read different stories from different places and they don't say the same facts. One I read earlier this morning in the local paper said they aren't shuttering any stores. I think the big issue is they need to lower their prices. I can almost ALWAYS get toys cheaper from many places.

Probably 15-20 or so with our two families.

We ended up watching Home Alone, Home Alone 2 (both on Freeform) and then we watched A Christmas Story on BluRay. Tonight wife wants to watch Elf and then we will probably watch Prep and Landing (dd loves it).

Sorry to hear that. Not fun when you have to replace all the food in the house and it's NOT cheap. We lost all of ours 4-5 years ago and we nothing in the pantry at that point either due to a different incident that had happened just before this. Once we went shopping I wanted to throw up when I saw the total and that didn't get us anywhere close to replacing what we had (had a separate freezer filled with meat). So sorry to hear that, but I am glad you're alright and you had no damage to the house.
-
That's horrible. How much damage did you have? Our family still in FL got off pretty luck, worst damage was 6 trees down one of which damaged their well head. They have that fixed now though. Then of course all the food that went bad with no power.
-
Same here, trying to decide if I will watch Home Alone 2 after this one is over or not. I still think the first one is the best one. Seems they don't do these types of Christmas movies much anymore, used to wait for the season to hit to see what would come out at the movies.

I am actually sitting here watching Home Alone right now (dw and dd are both sick) tonight I plan to watch A Christmas Story and possibly The Santa Clause. If they are still down tomorrow might watch Elf and Jingle All The Way.
-
Does it count that our daughter just randomly starts singing Christmas songs? We have been watching random Christmas movies also.
-
Never used or known anyone who has used this one. One of my friends has the AtmosFX projector system though and he loves it. Uses it for Halloween and Christmas. My wife and I have thought about picking that one up to add to our display.

Sears usually has a ton of packages on sale. I just bought a package from Lowes of stainless appliances for a house we are flipping. Paid just over $2k for Stove, Fridge (wanted side by side), dishwasher and gas stove. It's Samsung and unlike their washers these seem to be really good quality and had great reviews. Lowes/Home Depot seem to have bundle sales all the time.

It's that time of the year

When we built our new house 2.5 years ago we got all new appliances. After research and talking with the appliance people we ended up getting Maytag, went with the 5.3 cubic ft top load washer and it's matching dryer. Both of them have the steam feature in them and to date have been absolutely flawless in working. We did add the extended warranty to both for nothing other than all the electronics in them. My dad used to own an appliance repair business and he always swore by Maytag being well built and it still seems to be the case from our current experience. We had looked at the Samsung ones but outside of exploding the lady at Home Depot told us they had been having a lot of complaints with them tearing clothes. So that was 2 strikes for them on the washer/dryer front.

We ended up with a 4K for our bedroom last year. Went with the 50" LG 4K. It was a good price for the quality of the set 4K or not. We have watched a few of our TV shows off Netflix in 4K and I have to say for the most part it is nice looking, things definitely look sharper and more detailed. I can't say it's SD to HD type improvement but it's nice none the less. If all things are equal then to me 4K is worth it, nothing lost in getting one for the right price. As for future proofing this is technology just like any other, smart money in tech always tells you nothing is truly future proof.

You can possibly also just replace the KB on the laptop if it's still working. They are usually pretty cheap to buy online and fairly easy to replace.
-
Maybe you have it. They are going to use the VR in stores to pretend like there is no issues and the crowds are all calm and orderly.
-
Glad you're safe sir. Can't wait for the Webcasts to get going. More we can schedule them ahead of time (know that's hard as the releases are not set) the better it is for me. That way I can plan to be around to join in on the fun.

I was surprised to find out they had 28 stores left to close to be honest. It seems every other month they close a whole bunch. They talk about saving $1.5B on operating costs, well heck you can save 100% at some point if you just close every store.
