  1. Our family is very traditional for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. They are pretty much the same for both meals with the exception of an expanded dessert table. For Thanksgiving we will have:

    Turkey

    Dressing

    Mashed Potatoes

    Gravy

    Corn

    Green Beans

    Candied Sweet Potatoes

    Deviled Eggs

    Broccoli Rice Casserole

Mac & Cheese, but it’s not regular Mac & Cheese

    Rolls

Charcuterie Board (we always have a relish tray with pickles, olives, sometimes veggies and some dip but this year my teenage nieces want

To do a Charcuterie Board. When I asked what they were going to put on it, they said, pickles, olives, veggies, fruit…so, a RELISH

    TRAY..LOL!!

Cranberry Sauce - jellied and homemade berry sauce

    Carrot Cake

Pumpkin Pie with homemade whipped cream

    Chocolate Pie

    Butterscotch Pie

Christmas will have cookies and candies added to the dessert table and everyone will get containers to take their favorites home with them..

All sounds great. What time should I show up?
  2. Sooo I purchased the Pioneer Woman bake set for $20... it was delivered yesterday and before I even opened it I could tell something was broken... sure enough, the baking dish was broke in several places on one end, but the candle I also bought was intact (it had a fragile sticker on it)... I immediately started a return online for a replacement, selected to drop off the package at USPS/Fed Ex... went to the next page and it said no need to return it. Your new item is on its way. You can keep, donate or discard the original item

They are taking the Amazon way of doing it with some things. I'm sure the two way shipping eats into their profits more than just calling items a write off does.

  3. For Walmart that's true. It's their traditional sale split up into 3 sets of deals. For Target, I don't consider the weekly deals they've been having actual BF deals - they will have a huge 40+ page BF ad which is their real sale.

You speak as if you have inside information on this? :sidesplit

  4. Does anyone have any suggestions on which Cricut to buy or which store is going to have the best deal?

I think that really depends on what you want to do with it and your needs. They have them at all different price points. On their high end ones you get a bigger cutting area, faster speeds, more cutting force, more materials supported, the maker 3 either comes with more tools or supports more tools (not sure which it is)

  5. I got the 40" tv for my son for $100. I'm sure it isn't a stellar tv, but it fits the bill. Plus 2 candles and Connect Four. Whittling down Christmas lists as we go.

It’s actually not a horrible TV. We got two last year one for our guest room, one for the office. We just picked up one on todays sale also for the basement.

Now not a top of the line tv by any stretch but definitely not bad.
