Went to Lowe’s yesterday to look at a few things. Saw that across from the Halloween decorations they are starting to put out the Christmas decorations.

Read this yesterday. Said the only change they expect is to close some More of their under performing stores.

Custom thermal cups. I know of a place that does them at a reasonable price. You could do a nice design and their names o them.

I say Christmas tree cakes and the brownies. Also some of the various Santa themed candies. Not sure if it’s like it is for our exchange student but she had never had Reese peanut butter cups (don’t have in Spain) so you could do the holiday ones of those. We are sending her a bunch for Christmas this year.

Same! Also love the "Crushed Candy Cane" scent from B&BW in my Wallflower nearest the kitchen - gets me in the mood for all my Christmas baking.
Ya I like that one also. Christmas being my favorite time of the year I like a lot of the things from this time of the year.

For Christmas my favorites are the pine/fir scented. Love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree

I don’t know what it is but a lot of that pumpkin spiced this and that just seems to give me heartburn nowadays.

meh football team here too. It's hard to be a diehard fan as bad as our football team has been for the last several years. LOL
Been a Lions fan my whole. They have shown there’s always hope.

Piles of dill, good romaine harvest, good red/green leaf lettuce harvest, spinach was meh but I think that was at least partially my fault (will attempt again next year), celery is doing well and almost ready to harvest. Parsley regrew from last year as well and was beautiful. I eventually let it bolt to get seeds. Good stuff.
Very nice. We grew nothing this year. Moving so hopefully we can do something next year.

My wife and I were in Walmart in early August and they were already putting out fall scents. I was like it’s too early for this. Fast forward to a few days ago, they had out the same fall scents and a few of the winter ones and I was somehow now ok with these scents being there and we may or may not have actually bought a hand soap for our bathroom.

Walked outside early this morning to take the dog out and there the air was cooler. Came in and saw all the forums open. Going to be a good day.

I honestly think they will have even more sales spread out over the months. As for quality of the sales, well sadly I think they will continue to disappoint.
As for things on our list we are looking for travel deals to take our daughter to see and do different BT things. Looking for a new clarinet for her (she plays in school band) and my wife asked for one of those Dyson Airwraps so hoping for a good deal on that.

September already... Crazy how fast the time flies.
My cuke vines have been trying to fight the good fight against yet another fungus attack this year. Boo hiss. I've only gotten an average of maybe a cuke and a half per vine this year. Oof. Hoping for better things next year as I continue learning about best practices for my gardening and creative potential helps to keep the darn fungus at bay (or at least further limit its destruction).
My brussels that have grown from those I did not harvest last year are starting to produce sprouts of their own for harvesting in about a month or so. I'm excited about that since no one really knew what would happen when I told them what the brussels were doing in the spring. Now I know! Fun to know I'll have a decent sprout harvest again here soon.
Sorry to hear about your mom, Bopeep. Hugs and prayers for you and yours. Losing mom is rough.
How did the rest of the garden do this year?

Crazy that it’s September already. Holiday season will be upon us sooner than we know.

My wife’s first day of having kids back in class was yesterday. Crazy summer is over.

It is a combo unit. It's been dropping connection more lately. I've reset it multiple times, troubleshot other things, hasn't resolved the dropping connections... Line outside coming into the house was replaced shortly after I bought the house last year and is still in good condition. So yeah... Thinking it's just telling me it's time to retire it. lol
Dropping connection to the internet? I had the same issue. Would have to remove the cable coming into it for 30 seconds then I could get back online. Turned out to be an issue out on the pole with their hardware.
I have a spare cable modem now from the trouble shooting lol

Yep. Thanks! As a Comcast user for almost 25 years, I am well aware, sadly... smh
I'm looking at a couple from manufacturers I've had good luck with in the past and doing my homework before I pull the trigger on anything. It's certainly not an immediate need at the moment - I can just tell my poor modem/router is nearing its end... LOL I'm also checking to ensure I won't have issues if I switch internet providers (something I'm considering) within the next year or so.
Is your current one a combined unit? What makes you think it’s on the way out?

I call that "body out of warranty"...
Seriously, hope June is kinder to you and that your back continues to heal. Definitely doesn't take as much as we get older. Ugh!!! (Getting older = 0 out of 10, do not recommend!)
I tell people that at my age I now make noises getting out of bed that I didn't make after two a day practices in HS for football.

About 5 months to go before Black November!
In other news, my double-whammy surgery for my lower spine in January is still bothering me with bad neuropathy pain running down both my legs. Physicall therapy 3 times a week should help. Eventually.Hopefully the pain of the PT leads to a good outcome. Let's go with No Pain No Gain.

Can’t believe the year is half over. It seems to be flying by. We have been consumed with my daughter’s play schedule the past few weeks. Today is her last show, so hopefully we can catch our breath now.
