We bought a vacation home on Black Friday.

I'm right there with you on enjoying BF with my kids. Our family all lives close enough that we don't need a couple days a year to get together. It happens all year long.

Correct Bopeep, Missouri still does not require Amazon to collect sales tax.

I guess its just not what I shop for. Personally, my phone has been my time piece for years so I really don't see a need for one these days. Granted, people still use them but do they all have to be in the deals section???

So pay a few dollars for the protection plan. It won't be much for a $98 tv. Their protection plans are actually very good. Both times I have had to use them, they don't require you to send the tv back, they state to destroy it in a environmentally friendly way. Ha. OK. sure. They send you a check for the amount you paid for the item. Not a bad deal. One of the tv's that I claimed would search for channels everytime it was turned on. Not a big hassle but something I called in about.

That's what I'm thinking about USPS. I NEVER get things from Kohl's quickly when the USPS is involved. It's weird how FedEx or UPS will delivery it to the local post office to have them deliver it 2 miles down the road to our house. Odd.

I'm not sure on this story. For one, of the hundreds of packages that have been sent by Prime to me, not one has ever came by US Postal service that I can remember. There's always rumors of the US Postal Service discontinuing Saturday delivery because of costs and now they are thinking of adding Sunday?? Weird. But I may be wrong.

The prices won't ring up until the specified time but at least the early people got them. I don't feel bad for the people that come in an hour before sales start.

Last year Walmart had Ipads and 32" TV's as "everyone gets one" items. If they ran out in the store you filled out an order that came later but at sale price.

I worked at Walmart 20 years ago and we had "black Friday". Where did you live that they didn't have it yet?

I've shared this last year... We live close enough to all of our family and friends that it's really not a special day for us. We get together often anyway. I do like having the sales the night before so that I am already up. It ends up being an event for us and our friends. We hang out in Walmart for several hours and the teenagers get a kick out of the whole ordeal. Just depends on the individual.
