Home Depot does NOT accept gift cards on-line!
amyers12345 replied to nat1jen's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
That's a good idea, conj. Have you called back to talk to a different operator? I would call your local store manager and tell them what has happened. Or, you could go to a store and be 'looking' for something in particular and see if they can order it. Tell them that you don't have the internet or something . -

Only 96 stores? We have 3, and they are all participating. I have seen close to that mentioned on other sites. If so, I am so LUCKY! I never get this lucky! -
It's paid for me, so is Christmas Eve, day after Christmas, and New Year's Eve. DH is off paid, and he gets 2.5 weeks off for Christmas . He also gets the first day of deer season as a holiday.

Wow Eve, you're on the ball this year! I'll get back to you on it. It's still too early for me to think about. I've still got 4 b-days this month!

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008
amyers12345 replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Forgive my ignorance, but is this the Kirkwood store? We don't make it up there very often, so I don't know my way around that well. I have had great luck at the Kirkwood one. -
You are welcome! I hope you love it!

We just bought the $49 Dirt Devil from Target, and it is the best vacuum we've ever had. Parts of our carpets that have been shampooed and vacuumed and never looked good, look amazing. We live on a dirt road, so there is a ton of dust. We sucked 3 inches up in the cannister, just from our already vacuumed area rug. I highly recommend it. We have had other, much more expensive ones, and this one takes the cake.

BBW coupon for free prod - tell me a joke!
amyers12345 replied to conj's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I don't know any that would work for the kids. My son told me one when he was around 3 that we still laugh about. He made it up all by himself. "Knock Knock" "Who's there?" "Peach" "Peach who?" "Peach your boobies" I have no clue where it came from, but it was so funny. DD3 has one, too. No clue where it came from either. "Knock Knock" "Who's there?" "Teach" "Teach who?" "teach yourself to drive, I QUIT!" -

Amazon Prime Shipping Times?? EDITED
amyers12345 replied to guilliam's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
You do not have to wait until your time is up to cancel. If you'll go to your user account page, click on Prime, and uncheck the box that says "automatically renew". You can do this at ANY time. -
Overages are a YMMV. My Walmarts are wonderful about it, my Targets suck. Target used to be better until they got a new upgrade. You should never plan on getting overages, but be ecstatic when you do. I don't understand why they would write on them. Typically they don't, and that does make me angry. Someone is coming out ahead, whether it is the store or me. Some coupons have a box to write the price in. By writing on the coupon, the cashier or manager was trying to alert the manufacturer that the coupon was used for less than the specified amount. I am sorry you are upset with it, but there are so many worse coupon stories that could beat actually getting your product for free... I have been told at Target that they cannot adjust down (which they can), told that the product has to be the flavor/color listed. That the product must be more than $2 over the value of the coupon. The best one recently was the manager that told me they don't accept 'square' coupons, only rectangular ones. I only had one, I asked her to take it off between fits of laughter and walked out. don't let this discourage you. If it does, you will never make it through an hour long re-ring!

what was the site for childrens software
amyers12345 replied to Deekayjo's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
it was probably smartestore.com. They went under. They have reopened as www.bird something or other. They still owe several of us for money debited and item not shipped. Several people have had good luck with them. I hope you find what you were looking for! -
I have been conducting some small, local coupon classes for friends and family. A friend and I have started a 'group' for local deals. Word about our group has spread immensely, and now, I am teaching (by nomination) a class about every other week. I have also been asked to travel and teach in other cities. Tomorrow night's focus is Christmas shopping. This is such a good time to do it! Most of the people I am talking with do not know much about online shopping at all. I have a rough outline drawn up, and would like input from you guys on what I'm missing. There is no better help than here!!! I want to hit on: -benefits and drawbacks of starting early -target summer and Halloween clearance -brief synopsis of how Target shopping works -Target $ spot clearance -how to create a spreadsheet for keeping tack of deals -Black Friday -general timeframe for ad scans -pricematching -stashing -how to use GD -how to plan and strategize with our local stores -online shopping -websites -security -coupon codes (how to find and use properly) -order cancellation chances -pricing errors -site policies -free shipping sites -benefits of using Amazon prime -how to order quickly -amazon price adj. policy -great local shops for cheap last minute gifts I am also going to print out my shopping lists from the past 2 years with retail prices and totals and have them guess my actual total. I am expecting 40-50 people for this one, and a lot are new people, or people that have heard about Frugal Friends through the grapevine, and are expecting to hear some good stuff. What can you think of that I'm missing, or what visual aids would be good?

ISO backyard swimming pool
amyers12345 replied to Nikki1524's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
we don't have it up yet, but we've had them before. I would much rather toss them every year than try to clean them, put them up, and keep them from getting holes. Our ground is already leveled, but these are so simple once you get it leveled. Just stretch it, blow up the ring, and fill. I would rather have the metal one, but for this price, and the ease, I'm all for it! -

I got an awesome deal on one at Dillon's/Krogers last night. It was $99 for a 15 ft x 42" softset w/ everything included. It's on sale for this week only, and is half of Walmart's price. -
Scholastic Warehouse Book Sales for May
amyers12345 replied to sbaldasare's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Ours was junk! I was so mad! I got several books with a price sticker on the front. Above the case, it said 50% off. When I got to the checkout, they said those were priced like the sticker. No discounts. With that, my total was $37, but since she had already rang me up, she wouldn't let me go back for more to use my coupon. I would have left everything, but I had a friend's stuff, too. Also, they were begging for volunteers for Saturday. Funny thing is that I and several others had signed up and were never called.
