These people have been calling us day and night for weeks. They start in at 6:00 a.m. The calls show up as an unknown number, and when you answer, there is no one on the other end. They used to call, just to 'chat' about hunting. Well, last week, they got ahold of DH. I heard him tell them, "how much?!?! No way can I afford that!" He then hung up. I didn't think another thing about it until we got an invoice today for $129.00. It thanked us for our magazine order. I called and threw a fit. I was told they couldn't invoice us unless we agreed to subscribe. I demanded to hear the tapes. He then proceeded to tell me that if DH didn't order it, then how come he (the guy on the phone) had spoken with him twice, today. I asked what number, he recited our home number. DH works 30 miles away, in a different town, there is no way he was on the phone. Like I wouldn't notice he was missing 10 hours on his paycheck. Finally, the guy agreed to cancel it. I asked for confirmation. I was told, "ma'am, we are a professional company. We have no need to send out a confirmation, we'll stick by our word." Yeah, right! So, the moral of the story is, do NO business with these people. They are a royal pain in the butt.

This was discontinued for quite some time, and it is creeping back into stores. Funny thing is, I used to love it, and it tastes totally different to me now. Keep checking back, our stores are always sold out of it.

We have the radio flyer with bucket seats, but DD is 3, not sure about older kids. You must do a lot of walking.. My son wouldn't have been caught dead in a stroller after he turned 3.

Forgive my lack of knowledge of technical terms... When you hold your cursor over a thread, it previews the thread. In Conj's thread 'guess what DH brought home', there is a spoiler, but in the preview pane, it displays the contents of the spoiler. This is not a big deal to me at all, just something I noticed.

I have a Kodak Easy Shar Z760 and love it. It's a couple of years old now, and they have comparable ones for much less than what I paid for this one. Also, I have heard many good things about the Canon's. A decent one can be picked up for $120-150.

Oh no.. tomorrow is the ON sale, and this?!? Ours are next door to each other, and it's an hour drive. Funny thing is that either one alone is enough for me to take a personal day. Isn't there a GC exchange website? I remember hearing something about it after the holdiays last year. You are able to go trade cards you can't use with someone.

The reason I like GD so well is because there is very little of that. Other sites have tons of useless posts. I think every year between November-January, there will be more snide-ness. There is a huge influx of new users, many of whom probably frequent other boards, and are used to that. Once it gets down to regulars, it will decrease. Even then, there are posts that can be taken the wrong way.

Ha.. We took an SUV, and still couldn't see to change lanes. We got lucky, found tons of stuff! I got several of the trouble and connect four games, right as a clerk was sticking up a 90% sign in toys. Also, a big find was the Cranium Pop games are ringing up 2.49 (90%). Every time we walked back by, they were restocking!! Mom had 3 carts full, and I had 2, plus we went back again. The biggest steal were the stacks of scrapbook paper. 100 sheets each, at 90%, making them .99. (unmarked) But, mom found a whole bundle still shrinkwrapped. She later asked if I thought they would ring up the bundle as one. We went back, and they did! .25 a pack!! I was so proud of her!

Our Walmart still has L-Max's on clearance from last year for $65, but clearanced this year's for $35. I only know this because I saw the tags below the empty shelf.

Of course, I hate the packaging. It's all done for sales. The better the product is displayed, the better it sells. I've often wondered why they don't make one display package for the store, and the rest in easy to use packaging. I look at it a different way. I feel horrible for the people that have to package them. It's much easier for me to snip them off than it is for a 3rd world person to twist each of those ties.

Eve, I have heard nothing from my recipients. Do you know if they received the items? The only reason I am so worried is that a woman got arrested last night for setting fires to mail collection boxes. She has done several in the past 2 weeks, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that none of my things were harmed. Everyone has been alerted to check with everyone something was sent to, to make sure of receipt.

I got a pack of winning lottery tickets at the $ tree the other night. They look a lot more real than ones in the past, and they are all guaranteed up to $5000.00 winners. There were 5 in the package.

I will either get up first and put it in there, or I will leave a note to look in the fridge. My son HATED cottage cheese when he was her age, he would instantly start gagging. Now he likes it, but she will eat an entire container in one sitting. We can't normally keep it because she eats it constantly, and makes a huge mess!

DS8 is getting a gallon jar of dill pickles, and DD2 is getting a quart of cottage cheese.

I ordered a toy for DS for Christmas, and it is JUNK!! I know I can send it back, but I'm leery about that. Will they take back online purchases in store?

walmart.com did have it for 39.98 also. Not sure if they still do.
