If I'm not mistaken, Target doesn't do doorbusters. They run a 2-day sale ad, all prices are good for Fri/Sat.

It's basically saving $25, since you can get most of the movies for $5 now, unless they are brand spanking new. I would expect a price drop before too much longer, although I doubt it will be before Christmas. They just added a silver one, which makes me think they are scraping the bottom. Between the DS, Wii, and 360, Sony doesn't look so hot.

I have had Tracfones for probably 7 or 8 years now. They typically run a refurb phone with chargers and 2 60 minute cards on their website for $20. This is much cheaper than even buying hte 2 cards separately, because they are around $18 each. Also, they always run promo codes (redeem a 60 min, get X free). I will buy the phone and 2 cards, and if the codes fall well, I can get up to 360 minutes for the $20. It is a great deal, especially for a teenager. DS 8 wants a cell so badly, I am thinking about doing this for him, and when he runs out, he's done. Cheaper than a toy!

Which Panasonic is it? I got the GS29 (mini-dv) on BF last year, and I love it! It is so easy to use. Mine doesn't have a slot for an SD card, and I think all of the other models do, but that wasn't worth camping for, because I PM'd at WM. I had to buy the DV cable separately, and I got it off of ebay for less than $4 shipeed. It uses Windows Media Player, and it so simple to edit and create your movies. I wouldn't trade my Panasonic for the world! The battery lasts about an hour per charge, I don't know if that's normal or not.

I always like to do something different for the kids on Christmas morning, to help put the Santa Magic in it. We are so busy that day, that they barely have time to open their presents and get dressed to leave. Then, they forget a lot of what they have gotten. But, when Santa does something cool, they will talk about it all day. Last year, I made Rudolph stockings. I bought huge stockings at the dollar tree and stuffed them to the top. A lot of it was things I had gotten at the Target $ spot for 75% off. I also got giant pens, pencils/sharpeners, and everything super-sized I could find. Then I wrote them a letter saying that they had gotten the Rudolph award for being so good that year, and were some of the few kids selected for a special stocking (so their friends wouldn't blow my cover). It also said to fold them up and leave them out, so he could pick them up to take to another child next year (in case I didn't get as many deals this year). I need more ideas on something to do... We got DS a wii, but we may turn that into a family gift and get him something else. What are some of Santa's wacky traditions?

What about the wii sports, controller, and wheel? I don't really know what they are, but they look like really good prices.

honestly, and I am almost ashamed to say this because of my 'BF Queen' status, but in the past couple of years, I have purchased enough in the online deals section, that I have no need to go out on BF. 2 years ago, I spent several thousand, last year I spent around 1K. This year, I may go for the tradition of going, and that's about it. Last year, it seemed that there were many more online deals, but as I've looked through my receipts, I think the best is yet to come. It has come to the point that the major retailers are running themselves into the ground. I can understand both sides of the argument, but I think it is a pretty pointless one. With BF being 2 weeks away, no direct competition can exist, simply due to time constraints. No store will have the capabilities of even reprinting ads, much less duplicating the products. Also, I am not sure why Walmart is so upset, mainly because it doesn't matter whose prices are the lowest, they will still honor either since they are one of the few stores that PM, hence giving them the sale. I am seriously thinking of giving the kids Target GC's and taking them to the good clearance store the next week and letting them go hog wild at 75% off.

After I put in my CC info, it just refreshes that screen. Is anyone else having this problem? -
Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
amyers12345 replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I hit the mother load tonight! I have to drive over an hour for the good Target, so I wait until the great days. I bought 20-30 costumes for Christmas gifts for the kids. They get more play out of them than toys. Power rangers misc toys (in Halloween) from .29-.79 each Pirates of the Carribbean pack (Halloween)-quite gross stuff, shrunken head, bloody fingers, etc. .99 assorted Halloween make-up kits .49 t-shirts and leggings .40-.60 each Game Cube- Madascar- 3.96 Disney Mix Clip 7 (just the card) - 2.98 Kool Aid single serve packs- 16 count 1.27 6 cans Campbells soup 2 12 packs of Pepsi 4 jugs of Motts apple Juice 4 packs of Oreos 2 bottles of Ragu sauce 8 Hershey's Cacao Bars -.29 I'm not sure what else!!! All for $46.xx with coupons. They had a basketball goal that was $109 for $24.xx, and several GBA games for $7 each. The few Wii games on the list were ringing up $25-$30. The guy was sort of aggravated when I made him open up the case and scan them all. -
has anyone noticed if the $1 Halloween wooden stamps are on clearance also? and if there are still any there?

How many people here have Amazon prime?
amyers12345 replied to shanni's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
you must not be too far from me! We didn't have power, much less internet access for over 2 weeks. But, I had written down Amazon's phone number due to a Christmas mishap, and was able to call and order. That was the best idea I think I've ever had. As people were scrambling to get batteries, we had them delivered. -
I am not ready yet!!! Usually, I am so excited and rearing to go. This year, we have had a few obstacles come up. There have been some question on the stability of my job (we will know 11/11), and we had to take an emergency trip across the country (each taking a week w/o pay). DH had a job interview yesterday for a new company, so he took off, and now DD is sick, so I had to stay with her today. I just haven't had time to be excited, and frankly, if it keeps up this way, I'll be broke!!!

Day after Christmas Shopping... on line too?
amyers12345 replied to brynnfromtheblock's topic in 2007
I think everyone is reading this question wrong. Aren't you asking if the stores mark down their ONLINE merchandise accordingly? -
My parents spend the same amount on each of us, but they don't have to struggle to do so. We do not expect it. His parents do also, but they don't spend much, so it's not such a big deal. My grandparents are the same way. There is a $25 limit and a $100 savings bond, no matter boyfriend, date, spouse, great-grandchild, etc. If he is so greedy that he is actually counting gifts, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. I don't even make sure the kids have the same amount. I make sure they are close, but good grief!

We have a huge Geotrax set, and the kids loved it, for a while. Remember, they have both been recalled for lead.

I am off Wed, Thurs, and Friday, paid. I didn't realize so many people had to work that day!! I do remember working it as a teenager, when I worked at Shoney's. It was mandatory, because of the rush on the breakfast buffet.

I am still trying to figure out why a coroprate law firm would email such a threat. I don't see that as very professional or reliable. If they had any form of case, they would serve papers prohibiting such publication of said ad. Brad, have you checked with your attorney to see if an email is a legally binding advisement?

I think Walmart is just pissy because Kmart beat them to this last year. Walmart seems to be walking a thin line, and could be shut out by Target in the coming years. Like my grandmother said years ago, "walmart will rule the world one day"

The PDA's look really nice. I couldn't get mine to hook up to the computer. I ended up just tossing one, because somehow the kids turned the alarm on, and we couldn't get it to quit!!! I think I have a few more around here somewhere, so I'm not too worried about it.

ROTFL... was he hot?

actually, last year, the Ernie and Cookie Monster were nearly impossible to find, and bringing a ton on ebay. The catch was that they were only available in some foreign language, German, I think, because they were debuted there, in limited quantities. They were the equivalent to our Elmo.

I kind of had a feeling that they would offer it again through the holiday season, like they did last year. But, I wasn't sure that you could do it twice for the same account. I do know that last year it was a very widespread trial, so maybe they are doing that again. It was around this time, maybe closer to the end of October.

ours is fine.. and overused. We bought one about 5 years ago, and sold it at a yard sale this year for $40, in perfect condition.
