There is one boy in DS9's class that gives them all grief about no Santa. All of the other kids except this brat either believe or say they do. For the last 2 years, DS has asked us to set up a video camera to tape Santa, but we couldn't figure out how to rig it up. this year, I got DH a Game Cam. It's a motion activated camera. Our WAGS has Santa suits for 14.99, so we were thinking about picking one up, setting up the camera, and 'catching' him.

I'm waiting on the air guitars (supposed to be here by 12/20, rescheduled til 12/23) and an Ariat jacket for DD for the 4th time. They have sent the (same) wrong size 3 times. The outer packaging says Small while the jacket itself is an XS. They overnighted another one and double checked the tag this time.

Anything Ben 10 or Cars would probably be good. Transformers, video games, movies, McD's gift cards, sporting equipment, legos, books, etc. Boys are much easier than girls, IMO. Most of DD's gifts are barbies, my little ponies, and Breyer horses.

Those party packs went 75% off this week, leaving them at 2.48. My store didn't have any of the plates/napkins/cups/etc. sets left of Cars, but had a few of the favor sets. I'd hurry, because if they aren't gone, they will go quickly.

I was hoping for some great ideas on this, too. This is the first year we haven't had somewhere to go on Christmas Eve. Everyone has spread the dinners out this week, due to Christmas falling on Thursday. Everyone is working Christmas Eve so they can have 4 day weekends. It's probably a one-year thing, but I'd like to do something really fun for the kids. The problem is that no one can agree on a special dinner or what to do.

We're going to the Silver Dollar City Christmas Celebration in Branson. The warmest day of the week is tomorrow, and SDC is a nighttime display. They also have the 'real' reindeer on display at the Titanic Museum down there.

It was sold out on Amazon over the weekend. We had to pay the 49.99 at Walmart. Target didn't have it. Gamestop was sold out.

A few months ago, in the K-mart thread, a member mentioned that she had seen Breyer horses clearanced for very cheap in the STL area. I asked if she had picked up extras for any reason, because my daughter loves horses. We had a trip planned to STL for our anniversary. Within a couple of days, I had a PM from Vsa3janes that she had picked up one of each clearanced set for me, and would meet me with them when we came into town. I did not ask her to do that, so it was a major surprise. She did it out of the goodness of her heart. My DD has asked for nothing but horses this year, and this is going to make her Christmas. She brought them to me, along with her beautiful granddaughter while we were in town. I could not believe the act of kindness from someone I'd never met. I hope you realize the joy you are bringing to my daughter this year. Bless you and Merry Christmas!!!

I hope you guys have a blast! I wish we weren't too far to do things like that. That is such a sweet idea, and it sounds like a ton of fun. (Her granddaughter is so adorable!!!) We are headed to Silver Dollar City next week, if the weather cooperates, which it looks like it won't.

Ha! My MIL gets DH one every year. We're not sure why, but his whole family buys him Larry the Cable Guy stuff. We have T-shirts, boxers, beer glasses, lighters, dvd's, cd's, etc. Maybe i should get these in retaliation? Oh well, at least it's better than the tracks suits MIL used to get.

I am seriously thinking about taking the kids pics at Target. The huge red wall outside with a circle in it would be perfect. Everytime we walk by, they jump in it. It would have a pretty, unobstructed brick wall. Plus, they say everything they own comes from Target.

My DD loves beading bracelets and necklaces. Walmart has some really cute sets for $9 or $10, and they have tons and tons of beads. I also got some little kits in the $ section at Michael's. She also has a Cuttlekids, a child sized Cuttlebug used to make die cuts. These are on clearance at my WM for $15, and can be bought for close to that at michael's with a coupon.
