All you horse experts-need help
amyers12345 replied to tjarena's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Spent vacations at a Trail Ride in Missouri? Which one? We usually just buy gear from the local tack shop. Boots come from local farm stores or Sierra Trading Post. A lot of our rodeos have a swap meet type setup and there's some great buys there. -
St Louis MO area Target Shoppers - Help me?
amyers12345 replied to vsa3janes's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Vicki, I will keep my eye out if you'd like. I was just at the Lake today, and didn't even look at the toys. Too tempting. Everything is normally gone by the time I get to our store, but I'll be glad to watch for it. -
Certain states still charge an e-file fee, regardless of what software you use. TaxSlayer and TaxAct both have a downloadable version. It doesn't really matter, like PPs have said, your SSN is already everywhere. It's just a matter of preference. I figure that even if it's downloaded, if they were in it to get your SSN, they will get it either way.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009

Oh- we're headed out to the only store that's still 75% off, it's over an hour away, so it had better go today! -

Ours were 30% off, too, but I found some that were ringing up regular price, and some others that didn't have a clearance tag. They were in the furniture section, it looked like someone set them down while finding their stash and forgot. He said if they were regular price, they should ring up at 90% off. BargainFinder- some rang up at 30% off already, so he was just going to take another 60% off the sale price. -

But that's where people get confused. The difference between 75 and 90% is not 15%, it's 60%. Confused? For every $25 you spend at 75% off, you will pay $10 at 90% off. That means a $100 purchase at 75% off will only cost you $40 when it's 90% off. Example: Retail price: $100 75% off: $25 90% off: $10 75% + 15%: $22.25 Tonight, the manager gave me 90% off on all pajamas. But, some were ringing up at 30% off, so he tried to take 60% off thinking that would be 90% off. I made him fix it, lol. That was the difference between 1.99 and 6.48 a pair. -
Does anyone know where I can get several plain canvas shopping bags inexpensively? Either brick and mortar or online? I've looked at www.cheaptotes.com, and their prices are good, but shipping seems high.

There's also www.netgrocer.com. They are set up with Upromise, but I've never heard of them or done any type of reserarch.

This was all DD asked for. She played with it on Christmas Day and hasn't asked since. I didn't think it was too bad. The cupcake looks really gross and spongy baked in the microwave. It's pretty simple, and much easier to clean than I imagined. As far as the mixes go, I've been told that a normal cake mix with water will do the same thing. The mixes were more than the machine!

I gave my 24 year old brother and 23 year old BIL LightSabers and squirt guns. Mom was ready to choke me! DS9 also got my brother (who still lives at home) an intruder alarm for his room from the Dollar Tree. It lets out a high pierced squeal, and he keeps putting it random places, so whenever they open a cabinet door or something, it goes off.

ours went 75% off today. Talk about a bunch of crazy people!! They were filling up carts and snagging tons of stuff. There were still probably 12 full aisles. I will wait for the majority of stuff until it hits 90% as I don't really need anything. I did get the Advent Calendar I've been wanting. I also grabbed a bunch of chocolate chips that were .61 and I had .50 coupons. I also got a huge Santa suit for 12.50. -
I'm missing 6 sets of Ponyville figures, and I have a Dora pop up tent in the closet that has made it through 2 birthdays, 2 christmases, and an easter. I keep forgetting to get it out!

I don't have any need for it, but that's hilarious! And such an odd amount. Maybe they thought it was a toy store or something?

Call them snowman soup- it makes them cooler!

I haven't looked at taxact yet this year, but in years past, the Federal was no charge and State was around $15. This year, they may be charging for Fed. You should be able to file a non-res just as easily. My state's filing fee is included in the $15, so I'm not sure about the additional $8. Your TT info won't get pulled, and the only reason you will need that is to speed up the signature process. You will be able to use last year's AGI for your 'electronic signature'. It will automatically pull your federal info into the state forms, you just need to answer a few questions. It's very simple and is constantly updated, which makes it very reliable. When using Turbo Tax, you will purchase your software up front, and if there are any glitches, it's a permanent part of your software. Taxact has nothing to download at all.

Thanks- i saw these the other day and wondered if they'd mark them down. We got so many games for Christmas, not sure if I need more!

What type of taxes are you doing that would require Turbo Tax. (I'm not a fan at all.) If you just have a basic return with normal schedules, I highly recommend www.taxact.com. It's completely free to file your federal and charges a small fee for state. I think state is $14.95 this year. It does the exact same things as Turbo Tax, with none of the glitches, complications, or cost.

Just a heads up for those who got the bionicam.

It is really cool. All of the 'big kids' played with it more than DD. DD got those, DS got the night vision goggles. They are always out exploring, so this is great! -
I had this happen a while back. I called and asked if they had it, they couldn't find it, but told me to come back in and they would replace everything.

For those of you looking for batteries, don't forget about the $1/1 Rayovac printable. It makes for free batteries at Walmart and Target (they are in the $ spot). It's a pdf so you can print as many as you'd like.

A great trick I've learned is to wrap stuff when you get it or have time. I just write a number in the upper corner and jot it in a notebook. I do that with all of the kids gifts, my kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. That way if one's getting a little weighted, when it comes down to it, I can just slap someone else's tag on it, LOL.
-
I'm the exact opposite. I keep remembering things I've stashed everywhere. I'm going to sit down and reassess stuff tonight. I didnt' think we had stocking stuffers, and now I think there are too many. I keep remembering stuff I got so and so, or stuff to add onto packages that I've picked up all year. It sure doesn't feel like tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!!

Today I made vanilla fudge, maple pecan fudge, chocolate fudge, and chocolate walnut fudge. Lots more on tap for tomorrow! Everyone requests my fudge for gifts. I make it the old fashioned way with nothing but butter, milk, salt, and sugar. Nothing set up real well today, it's been pouring rain, so it's postponed until tomorrow.
