that's pretty much what most stores do. i used to work customer service at circuit city, and apparently we had some deal if you price matched to best buy, you could have scored a hard drive pretty cheap after a rebate. well we knew all the best buys in the area were out of stock, but one guy was desperate and was using the terminal in the store to check the stock of local best buys. "is 40 miles local enough?" "no." price match denied.

no. 99.9% of the time a store will not pricematch unless the item is in stock.

i'm really hoping the soap is 5/10 because we're down to our last one! i didn't want to buy it at 3.00 because i was waiting for either a 4/10 sale or a 5/10.

i changed the title for you. :)

? are you talking about the virtual console? in the virtual console i've only downloaded NES/SNES/N64 games. i don't know about the movies/music stuff. the fee to download the game is per game through the virtual console, and it varies depending on the system the game originated from. nintendo wii virtual console just note that some of the downloaded games you will need to buy either the classic controller or get game cube controllers. we bought the classic controllers, but i'm thinking we should have got the gamecube ones so that we could have played gamecube games (mostly super smash bros.)

no problema, that's what we're here for.

i think i pay 17.99 right now... but i'm out of that one year contract and i'm not rushing to sign another one because i won't be living in this location next year. note the following: One or two year contract with early termination fee may apply. One-time charges up to $54.98. and hope that verizon doesn't screw up your phone like they did to me! they turned the phone line on... in the wrong building!! i was sweating bullets that i had to pay for the tech to come out to check the line, and thankfully verizon was the one who screwed up.

i love self checkout - but ONLY if everyone ahead of me knows how to use them. i almost want to scream "NO DON'T PUT THE ITEM BACK IN THE CART - THE SCALE CAN'T PICK UP THE WEIGHT!" "THE CODE FOR BANANAS IS 4010" (or something like that.)

please note, i've merged the thread created from earlier today with the previous thread. Please search before starting a new thread. Thanks!

fry's is only in certain states - click me for locations you can try their online presence, which is frys.com which is also the same as outpost.com but it does not have the same sales as they do in the stores.

actually, wedding season is now may through september. it is only marginally cheaper in april and october. the more significant discounts you will find if you get married during the peak months is if you get married on either a friday night, or on a sunday. regarding wedding shows: if you are going to go: 1. bring preprinted labels with your name, address, phone number, email address and wedding date. 2. be prepared for a barrage of phone calls. i went to one back in july i think. they have barely just stopped calling me, and only because i started lying and said i had already booked my florist/coordinator/dj/etc. and also for the mailings... those aren't as bad, as you get some small deals out of it. 3. i didn't win anything. i allegedly "may have won a honeymoon!" but i wasn't going to sit through their timeshare meeting. 4. eat before you go... those things have tons of samples... mostly of the sweet variety though. however, the best vendors usually don't go to wedding shows, they rely solely on word of mouth. wedding dress tips: 1. if she is a sample sized bride, she can easily buy sample dresses off the rack at many bridal salon sales. sample sizes are dresses they carry in stores that you try on. they will usually just need to be dry cleaned, altered, and very very minor alterations needed. sample size dresses usually run in sizes 8 or 10. BEWARE: wedding dress sizes run roughly 2 sizes smaller than street size, so if you try on a size 8 and feel like crying, it's really a size 4. i wanted to cry. 2. ebay also has great sample dresses on sale, some going for as little as 10.00 plus shipping. DO NOT BUY THE DRESSES FROM CHINA. they're just scary to me. 3. don't blow your entire budget on the dress, chances are you will need alterations and must include that consideration in your dress cost. 4. if you go to a salon, they will play at your emotions. once you find a dress you love, they start bringing out tiaras, veils, jewelry, etc, to truly make you feel like a bride... and whip out the credit card. bridesmaids dresses: you can find cheap dresses off the rack at any department store, especially if you don't require them to match but just wear the same color. let me know if you need any more info - i'm getting married next year. (or well, i BETTER BE damnit. i have nothing booked yet and i'm getting annoyed at all parties involved.)

Looking at the dates from last year, we did not post the ad until 11/22, which was the day before thanksgiving. the problem with fry's: the ads are very regional. I know that the sales in northern california are not the same as the southern california ads. i'm interested though, i built my computer from black friday sales 3 years ago and now it's upgrade time!

freesia39 replied to Mugglemom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
i think you're thinking of bath and body works... but i always do a double take when i see either store name. same amount of letters, so many b's! -
i wish they'd start soon! i remember one year they started in october, and it's nearly november and they haven't started yet! when i can't find anything on the radio, i love flipping over to christmas songs.

i went one year (after the insanity at other stores) and they usually have a certain selection of stuffed animals for 50% off. i got my plush finding nemo for half off one year.

my BB last year had a note the day before thanksgiving that said "customer service desk will not be open on friday." check your BB.
