when we were looking at camcorders for fun (i have no idea why, we don't have kids) we actually preferred the HD ones between the two of us. something about not having to go out and buy extra media, and then stop recording halfway and then changing the tapes or the DVD, etc. plus if we were to ever (like we ever have at this point hehe) put things to DVD, i'd like to pretend that i can edit the video, clean up the transitions, and so on, and then put it to DVD for distribution and archival. this is just my personal preference towards the HD ones, i have no experience otherwise to how long they can record for, how much space they have, etc. i think the HD ones will be expensive for a while - they're the newest thing out there, aren't they?

my parents have a laser disc player still - they use it for.. um... karaoke. *groan* the video quality at the time though, wow.

ugh i can. those coach bags are in colors/combinations/patterns that do not exist in the actual coach line. plus the strap on that bag they have now looks like a rope, which would never be on a "nice" bag. plus it's pretty illegal to purchase a "good" copy. i know the cheapie fakes i see in like LA's chinatown try to get around it by using a "G" instead of a "C" on the bag. of course, they hide their better fakes in case the cops or a customs agent shows up.

psst, if you have a circuit city nearby, they have a ton of movies for 2.99 through wednesday.

it bags and outlets don't really go together, since i know the coach outlet does past season merchandise. however you can probably pick up a classic coach bag for a decent price at the outlets, it just won't be in a current color or pattern. you can try dooney & bourke. this one is fairly cute: http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=21465 but that's a current item. see if you can pick it up at a dept. store on a weekend with sales. appropriately, these are called "it bags" http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=21521 they do look a little younger. i'm personally not a d&b or coach fan, but they do have some affordable bags. just note those above are small bags, so if she throws a lot of stuff into her purse, they may not be very functional.

if they're like best buy, CC will not have the customer service desk open for refunds and price adjustments during the doorbuster hours. if it's a non doorbuster item, you may be able to do it. further, they might have already pulled the items off of the shelves to keep you from trying to PM on BF.

well since the bf has specific requirements for a new laptop, we're looking at the sony vaio right now that's advertised for 799. he doesn't want anything larger than a 14 inch screen because it adds bulk to the computer and he takes it to school. still thinking though.

to me, it's automatically better because it's a canon. cnet review doesn't seem bad as long as you don't use it to take pictures or use it in low light situations.
