my mom always makes thanksgiving dinner, and it feels wrong if she doesn't!!! it winds up being a combination of traditional thanksgiving food plus chinese food. we always have a turkey, mashed potatoes, biscuits, bread, and then chow mein, chicken salad, potato salad, regular salad, fried shrimp, some random soup, chinese desserts, on and on! it's also almost always my brother's birthday, so if he's feeling in the mood we get him birthday cake also. i'll be sad if my parents don't do it this year - i love my mom's cooking too much! that and i love going home for thanksgiving.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
freesia39 replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
my target has all the back to school aisles GONE! sob! but yesterday i went near the stationery/office supplies and found fish shaped post its for 48 cents. i saw them a week or two ago for 1.32 and couldn't justify it. this time i HAD to get them. i also got a pack of heart shaped postits (three pads in the pack) for 97 cents. YAY! i wanted to get more, since when they were at 1.32 they had a lot more shapes, but they were all gone. believe me, i dug through the endcaps like a madwoman. -

hrm i think mine today said that it was only 15%, perhaps it will scan at a lower price. i didn't have time to sift through all the stuff, i was already fuming silently that i had to wait over 10 minutes in line as someone kept questionning every charge. -
universal studios is no fun. you go one time and you're good for quite a while. disneyland is pretty at christmas, it just feels more magical, plus fake snow every night.

i'm going to london in october. we bought our tickets through american airlines from LAX to heathrow, nonstop for 557 for the ticket, and then 100 something bucks in taxes. (sadness i know). that was the cheapest airfare we could find outside of bidding on it. travel agencies were no help. as for the hotel, we are staying in a hostel in london near soho. we couldn't find a good cheap hotel and we're still young enough for hostels. and london is NOT cheap. it's nearly 2 american dollars to 1 pound. i'm putting myself on a strict budget when i'm there, because attractions are going to be expensive, and there are some things i HAVE to do when i get there (like have high tea.) and we have to pay the stupid airport fees when we leave also arghhhhhhhh but we're leaving from paris.

congrats to all the new mods! YAY! *goes to plot some trouble* -
just always make sure you have the ISBN and it's the correct version. changing the version every few years is their way of making you buy a new book.

my mom used to get them at large department stores (i.e. macy's) during their weekend super sales.

40 days?! if southwest is available, you might be able to get away with purchasing one way tickets.

Does Circuit City pricematch online retailers?
freesia39 replied to Zenmervolt's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
no. it had to be local, and had to be in stock. <-- former CC CSR. if you complain enough, you MIGHT be able to do it, but no. i usually didn't have this problem, since most were PM'ing to best buy, which was literally three blocks away. -
Coupons for Lean Cuisine entrées..

it's not the best variety in the costco bulk though. i usually just buy them when they go on sale at the grocery store, sometimes as low as 5/10. OCCASIONALLY you'll get a coupon in the sunday paper, for a dollar off of 5. -
wha wha you can? i thought it was only through hertz!

i get the weird feeling most of the stores on that "furniture row" are korean owned, so knowledge of the language would help in deal hunting.

sam's club is located headed out towards the inland empire, and not that close. there is costco, but you would need to pick it up yourself, and i don't believe the frame is available - you would need to get your own. i bought my bed in west LA on pico. i forgot the name of the store, but they let me bargain... but i also paid in cash.

well all ipods play music. you need to load the songs on to it. you can get the 1GB nano for i think 149.00. they don't go on sale - the most you might be able to get is a free case.

well it's target time now! finally half off, and i have coupons for that. -
well that's why i'd NEVER buy from somewhere such as "survival insurance" or anyone that advertises that they specialize in those with bad driving records. AAA insurance was great when i had it, i just wanted to combine my policies because it would save us money and let us drive each others cars.

has anyone been to TJ MAXX recently.
freesia39 replied to sanam's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
i LOVE tj maxx. they have more designer stuff than marshalls and ross. i keep scouring their racks for abercrombie jeans, and last time i saw paper, denim and cloth also. -
AAA. i'm not sure if they're still running this promo, but its usually five bucks off with AAA, and i know last month they doubled it to 10 per ticket.
