  1. The worst thing i bought was the memorex karaoke machine from target 2 years ago. When she opened it Christmas eve, it wouldn't play and we were leaving for Arkansas for Christmas. I took it back to Target when we got back home and there were about 5 of them behind the return desk.

    New walmart

Once they start bringing stuff in, it doesn't take very long at all for the store to open--It sounds like it will definitely be opened by BF!!
  3. I boycott Office Max on BF because they never have the stuff in stock anyway.
  4. Last year, Best Buy had the Virgin Mobile Kyocera K9 for free after rebate. I bought one and was going to give it to my niece, but gave it to my little brother instead.
  5. Don't you love those gifts??? My daughter has about 25 people on her list this year. I've found lip glosses for 25 cents and belts for 99cents to go in these cute little boxes that I found last year for like 15 cents each after Christmas. My son doesn't do that--it might be a girl thing--he only buys a gift for the girl he likes at the time.

    Weather?

Last year was pretty nice here. The year before, it was raining and cooler so that wasn't as much fun. I don't know if my daughter will want to go with me this year. She's a true teen now and sleeps till noon on her days off!!
  7. Will your other grandkids resent that? My kids do. Maybe you are more "fair" than my MIL is though My son especially resents that my MIL didn't remember to send him a card or even call on his birthday but spent $300 on a party for my niece because she lives with her AND bought her a horse. Last year, my son got his birthday card in the Christmas box from her, with 2 sweatshirts that were the wrong size even though I told her what size he wore. He can wear a Medium, but prefers the Large, and she sent Smalls. His birthday was yesterday. He's 16 and old enough that I'm not going to try to explain. He draws his own conclusions and he's tired of it. I'm tired of trying to explain something that I find unacceptable. My kids are tops, then my husband. The kids are more fun to shop for, but my husband usually does pretty well in the gift department too :)
  8. I'd say both will probably be on sale. The DS is over a year old and the PS3 comes out soon :-) Sounds like a nice time to lower inventory!!
  9. I have a budget for Christmas, but not for BF--hopefully I'll see lots of stuff for people that are on my list on BF and save some money!!
  10. 2 12" girl's bikes for my nieces or tricycles (depending on what's on sale--they are 2) an MP3 player for my daughter
  11. Yes, you should save for Christmas :-) I'm a substitute teacher and I take 1/2 of every paycheck and use it for Christmas and the other 1/2 and use it for Band fees/trips/expenses. My husband works and pays all the bills and all the little extras, but with 2 kids in band it gets expensive.
  12. I make a list of all the people I need to buy for, and then if something I think they will like is in one of the ads at the price point I give them, I buy it. For instance, I want to get my niece (2 years old) either a 12 inch bike, or a kitchen and my budget is $40.
  13. I did too--I used a BF list in 2003 for the ads, but it didn't have forums, so before BF this year, I googled for the ads again and found this one--I'm glad I did!!
  14. http://www.scooterdepot.us/default.asp Here's a site with new one's that are street legal for $995. They are in Cali (Baldwin Park) but I don't know if you could just go pick one up or not. Some are really cute!! http://www.scooterdepot.us/details.asp?ProductID=222 This one's electric but I don't think it's street legal. It's only $299
  15. That ones very very pretty!! I thought it was you until I looked at the name :-)
  16. I have the precursor to this tv (in the 50 something inch version) My husband bought it last year. He also bought the extended warranty from hhgregg with it and they replace the lamps yearly :-) I like the pic on my 32 inch sanyo better. I don't like his Toshiba at all and I rarely watch it. I didn't even watch the Titans on it because my TV has a better HD picture.
  17. The average is probably about $20--new ones come out at $29, then they go lower from there. There are a lot of new games for $10 or so, too. There are used games everywhere.
  18. I use my SP all the time--I have bought every pinball game I could find and tetris and dr. mario--It's fun for me-My kids and husband can keep their psp's!!! I love my Game Boy
  19. Wal Mart has one for about $6 and Sam's club has a 2 pack for about $10--no shipping, just tax
  20. Sam's has a GE 5100 btu one for $77.42, but prices may vary by store, and Target had 5200 btu one in their circular last Saturday for $74.99, but it doesn't list the brand.
  21. You can also buy one at Walgreen's. It's reloadable, but I think it's $7.95 at first.
  22. I loved the shopping list last year. It was really wonderful!! I just saved mine into word and kept a running page until Wednesday.
