  1. Totally against it. Thanksgiving is family time and a day to be thankful not to rush dinner and then push family and friends out the door. There was nothing wrong with it starting around 5 a on Friday (hence the name Black Friday....not Gray Thursday) as the saying goes if it's not broken don't fix it! Retailers have comment that it's what customers want but I personally don't know anyone who likes it and I know a lot who refuse to shop it. I am getting there.
  2. Is this over? I cannot find the 3 pack of them?? I would love these. If anyone knows please email me [email protected] Thanks!
  3. If you go the KM web site you can see the ad that is coming out- it will state that it isn't available yet. I ck out all the store ads. I think Meijer puts the ad online early too. You can sign up for emails to tell you when the ad is out - I can't remember if it gets to you any soone. I usually ck the site late Sat. and if it's not posted I ck again. Last yr I found a wii for my nephew at Meijer online Sat night/early Sun morn and called to see how many they had. They had like 17 and they put out 17 chairs for the people to wait and they had like 5 chairs filled. We live like 45 minutes away so it was great to know. As for the KM associate (ass. for short). I would call corporate and the manager too, that is way wrong. I don't believe in the lottery thing either. If I am willing to wait in line for several hrs I don't want someone who was there 5 minutes be the lucky one to get the ticket. Last yr Kmart came out about 5 min before opening and passed out the tickets according to the line for the wii.
  4. Does anyone know what door buster/early bird items, if any will, be available at TRU and other stores??
  5. I am lost - no surprise! What are some of the items on sale and what price should they be??? TKS!
  6. Yes, its a great deal. A cheap one would cost that or more! I don't need one, but if I did I would get it.

  8. I don't use lawaway much and not on BF especially but think of all the people who depend on the LAW. Ones who cannot afford to pay cash or who do not have credit cards. I heard WalM is doing this because they want everyone to get a walmart credit card and use it instead. Millions of people don't qualify for credit. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST ASINE THINGS WALMART WILL EVER DO. We all should stick together and tell them that LAW is important to a lot of people and they need to keep it. I don't see how they can have any less employees and still operate. Our superstore (in OH) is lucky if there are 4 registers open at any given time. I hear people complain all the time. If they didn't PM I wouldn't be there. I hate walmart for the way they treat their employees and how they think since there #1 they can screw all.
  9. I have to agree 110% with that one - Mines the 17th of December . BUT the 13 has always been my favorite number. My first love was born on the 13th (april) and my last love, my son's dad's, is the 13th but it's Aug. -- I like 13 before either of them and AFTER both of them are gone too. lol! :flame:
  10. I don't know if all store policies are the same or not as stated earlier call the 1-800-wal-mart and ask. I also call the manager if I have any problems and I will tell them, " I can always shop at SO and So store, my money spends as good there as it does at walmart." and if I still get a bunch of BS I call the district manager or tell the manager in as nice way to have the district manager call me at his/her earliest conveince. I procede to tell the district manager all the BS that is going on in the store and that I will not be shopping there if things don't change. I can take my business elsewhere. They don't always know what is going on unless you tell them. If he or she is nasty I call the 800 number and complain. You know if the district manager yelles at the manager than they are going to get onto the employees and things will eventually change or the regional (800 number) calls the district and he/she gets onto the manager -- it goes on down the line. WE, AS CONSUMERS DON'T NEED OR HAVE TO TAKE THE BS. IF IT WASN'T FOR US THEY WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB. We all have bad days, but don't take it out on me. Check it at the door. I have called Best Buy because of nasty employess - each time I went there for several visits and I got a nice gift card. I didn't go back there after I used it but it was nice. Too bad the employees weren't or management. Have a great - safe day.
  11. Can't wait either- are they here yet??????????
  12. The first part is the perfect answer for a husband to say - but remember if your wife is like most mom's she has a baby book that she will write in and so you need to get the little one something extra special because years later it' ll be there in print for him to read what you got him for Christmas - especially if it's his first year. My son's dad is a jerk and I am having a hard time filling in his baby book because of things like this. He turned 5 in Sept. and Dad still hasn't gotten him a card or anything, but he has the money to buy hunting gear, license for him and his other son and other things that he wants. It may not bother my son to read it 15 years from now but I don't know that for sure and I don't want to write lies. So far I just omit it. If he ask when he is older I will tell him.
  13. Of course my son is first on my list! He's all boy, so most of the time he's nice and naughty! Some of the things he comes up with I couldn't repeat on here and he is only 5!
  14. I call and tell them about the site. When they read it they deleated it but once I told them aobut it they wanted to have it resent to them. Several friends were here and viewed it with me and joined. Seeing is believing.
  15. I went last year for the first time --- after thinking about it, maybe about 7-8 years ago me and an ex went shopping on BF and he was not impressed by the nuts and crazies as he called them. He went to the hunting section and waited on me- well for awhile. He bugged me till I left. So I guess that was actually my first time. We never went shopping again. I like the shop til you drop or run out of money!
