  1. The terrain Twister is $49.86 at Wal-mart--but it doesn't include the battery pack (29.99) That was the only reasonable item on my son's christmas list (a real car and an alienware laptop were his #1 and 2 items. I got him a Dell laptop and he'd better be happy that he's getting anything!!) I did see some cute Jeep Rubicon's yesterday at my wal-mart for $20 (BF sale leftovers) and they had the battery packs with them!!) At $20 if he tears it up in a couple of months you don't have the "ouch" factor.
  2. I love Christmas shopping--and for me it really is a time constraint problem--about 1/2 of the presents that I buy for others need to be mailed off so getting it all finished ASAP is the rule here :-)

    Rebate Question

fold it up and use a BIG envelope :-) I've found that following all the directions exactly to the letter always works!!
  4. I was informed by my 12 year old that she knew there was no santa last year and had known for a couple of years (a WalMart layaway tag apparently gave it away) --she was just playing along because I was having fun. Is that a sweet child or what?? LOL
  5. I'm not going anywhere today but the tree farm :-) This year my husband wants to get a real one, so I'm all for that--the artificial tree we have has seen better days LOL

    Rebate Time!

i hope they add the code for the Teon DVD's that they gave me--it's not even recognized in their system!!
  7. I can honestly say that I know exactly how you feel :-) 5 years ago my husband got out of the army and we both went to Cameron University in OK. Those were 3 LEAN years--Heck CHEAP Hot Dogs and cheap boxes of Mac N Cheese were a 2-3 times a week meal--but he graduated early--I never have--and he got a great job and we moved here to TN. It's much better here, although I really should have stayed there for that last year and finished--but then we'd have been apart some more and I'd had enough of that for the 11 years he was in the army. I decided then that money doesn't matter as long as we're together :-) (Kind of corny, but true)
  8. That is really awful--nothing is worth that--not even a cheap laptop!! I feel bad for them and wonder what on earth is wrong with their lives that they would act that way. Everyone here in TN is always really nice. This year I did have a few odd looks--I took my 12 year old with me--she's thin and FAST and boy can she weave in and out of people! I had to go between people to try to keep her in sight!! Once I explained that I was trying to keep up with her they laughed and moved out of the way (She was on her way to toys in Kohl's) This was her first store--I explained the rules when I caught up with her and she didn't do it for any of the other stores. She's used to being in Kohl's where it's not busy :-)
  9. Actually it's not really the computer that you need to worry about in putting the songs to the MP3 player. Our ancient AMD K6-300 used to download music no problem up until last year when my husband turned that computer into the firewall. It's actually your internet connection and your amount of patience LOL I've ripped every CD we own (except the ones that I just found under my daughter's bed yesterday) onto the computer and that's what's on my son's player. I did burn them to CD before he changed the computer, then uploaded them to my computer so my son could download them to his MP3 player :-)
  10. I haven't taken one yet--but I got up at 4 not 2 :-) I felt like I needed one, but then I went to Walgreen's to get some gift wrap and tape and got my second wind, so I went to Kroger and did the grocery shopping too :-)

    Rebate Time!

I only have 2 so far--plus one more when the Staples online stuff comes in. I have one from the B&M staples (which is a bit annoying) and one from Best Buy
  12. Ok, thanks--when you get yours would you mind checking to see if the rebate offer on yours is 04-87544? I picked mine up at the store--I had forgotten to add it to the Zire/MP3 player that I ordered this morning, so I just ran in and picked up bundle :-)
  13. My rebate form and receipt don't have the offer # on them (or an address or phone number, but I digress) . I went to the staples site and printed out the form from the site, but that offer # isn't working for the EasyRebate thing. I was wondering if anyone has a different offer number other than the 04-87544 or if anyone has tried to input this number with the code from the bottom and it actually worked. TIA :-) Michelle
  14. I have a TV box that I'm putting all the presents in until i get them wrapped :-) It's a BIG box LOL

    BB Horror Story

I feel lucky--I got to BB at 9:30--got the Free (ar) phone, checked out at the cell phone counter and was out of there by 9:40 :-) The real line was still wrapped all the way to the TV's LOL

    geforce 6800

In mine it's listed on page 16--for $199 after $30MIR. It's just the Standard card though, not the GT :-) I don't know if this one can be overclocked to become the GT or not--and my husband is asleep or I'd ask him LOL
  19. My Discover is Red White and Blue--but My Amex is a pretty clear grey :-)
  20. me too--the people who work there are nicer :-)
  21. I'll take my gameboy this year--last year I didn't stand in any lines at all--I did wal-mart first and they are open 24/7/364

    CC on-line

That's what my husband keeps saying too--He's been waiting for the X800 forever!! finally he broke down and bought the GeForce one :-)
  23. I do--they were Black Friday Ads--and you were first--I didn't even look at any others after I came here
  24. I know--it's usually my first (they open earlier than BB) but nothing interests me for tomorrow so I'm not even bothering. My son wants that Terrain Twister RC car so I'll have to go get it eventually--but I have 4 weeks. I don't want to waste my limited BF time on something they always have.
  25. I got here from Google too :-) I wanted to know about the ads last week so I could plan my strategy :-)
