  1. My daughter wants contacts--I can't put anything in my eyes, but she can touch her eyes so it might be ok. Anyway--that site has a bad security something or other--it was filled in with the information for someone named d. patterson on mancuso when I clicked the link.
  2. I've finished all of my shopping now, except for World of warcraft--I thought it would be easy to find--It's not--none of the store's I've been in has it--I've been to 2 Wal Marts, 2 Targets, Best buy, EB, and circuit City. I guess I'll just have to get him something else. He doesn't need it anyway, He play EQ2, and FFXI, so we really don't need another online game.
  3. That's what we did too-and the fridge too--well actually just the washer and the fridge, the dryer we got at sears at a discount because it was a floor model. It was only $349 and it's the Maytag Neptune dryer. The washer at the Sears Outlet was only $599. I got both pieces for less than the normal price of just the washer--in the bisque color :-)
  4. I'm probably close to $3k right now--not too bad--last year was almost 4K. This year they get good laptops-last year we just bought a bunch of junk.
  5. I had DishNetwork for 3 years. We dropped it in August when Cable/cable modem finally moved out here to the boonies!! Our bill was $108 a month for 2 receivers-1 a PVR (same as DVR, but OLDER LOL) and one just a receiver and all the channels, including the super WB's and UPN's and locals. Locals started out at $4.95, but were up to $5.95 when we left them. They charge per receiver, but they build one into the package usually. Check out the package deals in your area and see what might interest you. You can look on the site for the list of rates. They were fine as far as service went, but occasionally the customer service people were a bit dense.
  6. I do--every year since my daughter was born :-) She's 12 now and they are all MIB. She has them displayed on her walls. I usually end up getting 2 of them--one for her to put up and one for her to play with. Her birthday is in January and by then they are usually half price.
  7. Thanks Mark :-) I missed that part of the directions :-) The Terrain Twister is $49.96 at Wal-mart B&M--but the flex pack is $29.96--but it is on sale this week at either Kmart or Target for about $25. My son already has a FlexPack, but I didn't know it was the same, so I'm returning it and getting him the Kingdom Hearts Game.
  8. How about a gift certificate to a DaySpa? you can get one from spawish that works for lots of spas (check the list to make sure that there is something in her area) they have outrageous shipping though!! Or how about one of the Shiatsu Massagers that go in her chair? She can ever use it in her office chair. Some nice relaxing candles always make me happy or a couple of Gift certificates to a decent place to eat.
  9. Video games: GBA Final Fantasy 1 & 2, GBA Kingdom Hearts (comes out Thursday), Halo 2 Toys: Weebles, Fur Real Friends and the Terrain Twister RC Car (barely makes the cutoff--and doesn't if you don't have the battery pack already)
  10. Try the Planetfeedback site--they usually have the president's names and email addresses.
  11. I've mailed off 24 presents and there are 38 presents where the tree will be :-) We're going to the tree farm Sunday :-) I still have the kids laptops, bags, and printers and mice to wrap and some more clothes for my 2 nieces to wrap. Kohl's is having an interesting sale right now. 50% off of the Red Tag clearance prices, so I got one of my nieces 5 more pair of pants and 4 more shirts (her size is easy--she wears a small and a 3/4, like my daughter. These are just what my daughter didn't like LOL) and the other 2 pair of pants and 2 more shirts (her sizes are harder to find, she wears a 24) I still have to wrap most of that though. My kids are getting the laptops, and they are hidden in a TV box in my room, so there really isn't much other stuff for them to open except a few cheap games, an RC car and the Zire/mp3 player--plus I get them new watches every year.
  12. That's weird how it erases the barcode. I wonder how they code it to do that?
  13. I'm finished shopping except for some stocking stuffers and my husband--I've decided that he shouldn't get anything for Christmas since he went nuts this past summer and bought 2 HD Tv's (One is now mine) and a surround sound system and a new monitor and a new graphics card. To be honest, I can't think of anything else he needs or wants!! I still have cards to address, but I have the cards and my list from last year.
  14. I have a Timex triple alarm one that also wakes to the alarm and nature sounds (ok the nature sounds are kind of freakish--especially the waves/seagulls) but it's cute and wakes my husband up (nothing else ever has)--when we were stationed in Germany pre marriage, I had to go to his room in the barracks and bang on his door until he woke up--finally he gave me a key to his room and I'd go over and roll him out of bed--sometimes EVEN THAT didn't work. They have a newer version with even more bells and whistles that's really cute looking :-)
  15. Their ad really was awful though. I like my Wal mart Supercenter and I like the little Wal mart down the street, but there is one Wal mart here that they couldn't pay me to enter. I hope that all the Wal Marts don't end up like that one!! Think they've gotten a bit egotistical? I know I spent more at Target and Kohl's this year than I have Wal Mart, whereas last year, just about everything was Wal-mart.
  16. Well, at least they've learned something for next year :-) Give us better stuff cheaper!!
  17. I'd keep it :-) My husband bought a 53" Toshiba HDTV this past summer. The thing is HUGE! I tried to talk him into one of the smaller, thinner plasmas, but he wouldn't budge :-(
  18. It looks flaky to me--I've been doing ebay for like 6-7 years and people don't leave feedback until they actually receive the item--the first 2 of his feedbacks the auction ended yesterday. I should also say that looking at some of his past auctions, he sounds like a kid. If you decide to get it, I'd definitely pay with a credit card, but I'm not sure if the low amount of the auction would be covered because It's less than $50.
  19. The Staples Easy rebate site is up again and the Teon Offer # is 04-87544 for anyone who didn't have it printed on their sales slip either--It actually works now YIPPEE!!
  20. Not me--the only shopping I did today was at Walgreens (buy 1 holiday hair thing get one for a penny and some cute holiday ties that make music when you press the button for my son) while I was waiting for my daughter's antibiotic prescription. She has an upper respiratory infection and can't move her head to her right because of swollen lymph nodes.
  21. Very cool! I like my laptop too--I haven't touched the desktop in months except to start a process or 2 for my husband while he was at work :-) I don't need/want a gaming machine, so I don't need a great graphics card--all I do is go online, do a little word processing and a lot of Excelling :-) This suits my needs well--any more would be a waste of money IMO for what I use it for. I think that the $500 laptop would have been great for my daughter too--but I'd already bought hers at CC. I have a shelf out of one of the entertainment centers that I use as a portable "desk" and keep that on my lap to keep the air circulating correctly and I sit in the recliner and play online all the time.
  22. My son does too--I lucked out about 2 weeks ago and found him a pair of the jeans at Kohl's for $5.00. They were red tagged to $10 and were half off of that!! I wish they would have had more in his size--I would have bought them all :-) these are the skulll ones, not the dragon ones--He has a couple of the dragon hoodies and a skull hoodie. I don't know what it is with the hoodies, but both of my kids love them!! wE don't have a Value City here. I wish we did. When I go to Louisville to visit my mom and sister I try to scoot over to the one on Dixie to check out the stuff.
  23. My daughter and I went to Wal Mart and big lots. They still had the watches, but they were an impulse buy, but I got them anyway--a cute relic for my daughter--it's face is a pink floral that changes, a nice Citizen for my FIL and a cheap $7.99 one for my son (He's lost 4 watches this year). Wal Mart still had loads of everything and were marking stuff down more. The kids tables and chairs were down to $12, the DVD player with the 2 screens was $150 and they still had the RC cars and the LeapPads and the game sets at the regular BF prices. Mine even still had 2 of the Video Now B&W, but everyone's buying the color one.

    BB Horror Story

I actually got a really cool dell yesterday--It's everything anyone (other than my son and husband--ungrateful little snots LOL) could want--it's the Inspiron 8600 with a 512 mb ram, 80 GB hd, a Pentium M (1.4 I think) DVD Burner and a 128 MB Graphics card for $1298 +tax--unfortunately I live in TN so I have to pay sales tax :-( but that's ok too. They also threw in the free printer (I really don't need another printer--we have 4 or 5 now) and the free wireless card. It's actually $612 off the regular price, but only a few things are customizable. plus it had free shipping :-) http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_notebook5?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
  25. I like it here--everyone is really really nice--I would have been on here more last night, but my stupid cable connection kept dying on me and quite frankly it became a major annoyance, so I read a real book instead :-) I'll be sticking around if that's ok :-)
