  1. This is going to be a hard BF for me...I am going to be lucky if I have 200.00-300.00 this year. I am hoping that Amazon has a good deal on a Nabi tablet. I have 70.00 worth of gift cards already for them (that I got by doing surveys and stuff) so I would love if they had a deal that if you buy a tablet, you get a gift card or something like that. If they don't have a deal though, I will just wait until after Thanksgiving to get it...I am really just hoping for some great deals...
  2. I do a very small amount of my Christmas shopping before October since my daughter's birthday is October. Normally stuff I buy before then is her bday gifts. Sometimes, if I can find enough good deals, then I will put some of it up for christmas. For the boys, I do most of my shopping late November through the week before Christmas since I am never sure what to get them...I try to do at least 80% of my Christmas shopping on BF. But, this year will be different unless they have a good deal on a messenger phone and tablet..
  3. Thank you. I have accumulated 75.00 worth of gift cards and hope to have at least 90.00 by BF. I am earning them online. I am hoping for the Nabi 2 to go on sale or for them to offer it with a gift card. I would also consider an Xbox 360 with kinect at the right price. My goal is not to have to add more than 125.00 for whatever I decide...
  4. Does anyone know when Amazon's holiday return policy begin. Have any of you ever had any trouble ordering from them BF? thanks
  5. I don't use bows on most of our gifts. I used to but when my boys were little I quit and just never got back into the habit of it. I have a TV box that I put alot of my gifts in. It is plenty big enough that I can usually stand them in there neatly. Also, once our tree goes up, we put all but the kids "Santa" gift under the tree. Sadly, only one of mine still believe in Santa, but the 2 older ones play along anyway.
  6. Thank you for posting. I didn't really see anything that just popped out as a really great deal. I did see a few things that make me wonder how much cheaper will it be BF though...lol
  7. They actually had quite a few things that grabbed my attention..I'm shocked.
  8. I just love being able to shop without any kids! This year I will hopefully be going with some of my cousins, so it should be fun. I also just love the rush of finding that great deal!!
  9. I really don't consider myself a diehard, but that is what I would be closest to. I begin preparing as soon as the ads come out. I probably change my list 100 times..lol. Then, I have a plan. I go to our local Walmart first because it is smaller and can usually get what I am wanting. Then, I head out of town to the other stores. I have all the times mapped out for each store. I usually wait until after the line has really cut down to go to Target. I also have a 2nd list that includes things that I will get if the original items on my list are sold out... This year will be different because I am planning on going with my cousins. I have never been with them before. It will also be different because I am not going to have as much money as I had hoped. I will be doing good if I have 300.00. But, I do have an idea of what I am hoping to find on sale.
  10. We eat around 4 or 5 pm. We do this because BIL gets his son around that time. But, for the past few years his son has not even come, so I may see if everyone wants to up it by an hour or two. It will depend on what is on sale BF as to when I will go. Last year, we got there around 7 pm and there were a few people in line, but they still had plenty of places left. Most didn't get in line until an hour or two before the item went on sale. We also live in a small town.
  11. I would like to know the answer to these questions as well. hollyd we are getting my daughter the Nabi 2 also. She is 6.
  12. My daughter is getting a Nabi 2 for Christmas. She is 6. This reply really encourages me, because I was starting to doubt whether that would be best for her. I really love the fact that I can control what she has access to. Is it as durable as they say?
  13. Oh that really makes me so mad!!! Last year some people even posted on the local FB yard sale. I just think about someone who was depending on that cheap item so they could buy Christmas for their kids, since alot of BF shoppers do depend on getting the good deals so that their kids can have a decent Christmas.
  14. Do you know about how much they have been selling for refurbished?
  15. Does anyone know if Amazon offers any deals on tablets BF, a gc offer with one or just a huge price break? I will have at least 70.00 possibly 80.00 of gift cards for amazon by then. I would be able to put at least another 100-120.00 with it.
  16. Yes, you can put them on layaway..
  17. We've always gotten our bikes from Walmart. They hold up pretty good. My daughter's bike still looks very good since we keep hers inside. She's had it for a little over a year now. My boys' bike rusted after about 2 years. But they were left outside uncovered and they never rode them after the first 3 or 4 months. I think that Walmart (on BF) is probably the best deal for kids' bikes since they outgrow them so fast.
  18. I think they meant that it is 150-180 cheaper than the ipad mini..maybe...
  19. Walmart, my first stop Watching the police run by fight in the towels
  20. As long as you are in a safe environment then I have no problem with this. In our Walmart the only fights that have ever broken out have been at the towels..lol. So, I stay clear of that.. I don't take my kids because I am doing most of my shopping for them, my boys do not want to go (I've asked since they are now 14), and I am a SAHM and we homeschool. So this is a way for me to have a day out with friends without worrying about the kids getting too tired or hungry..lol. In our town many parents bring their kids of all ages because it is safe to do so. There are always kids (10 & up) holding a place in line for the high end electronics. Alot of the teenagers come by themselves to do their christmas shopping. But, we live in a very small town and everyone knows everyone else (or you are kin to them..lol).
  21. We are getting my daughter the Nabi 2. She is 6. This can also be used as a full android tablet. The great thing about it is that it is made for kids and it has mommy mode that allows you to choose what is appropriate for your child to see/watch and to keep them from accidentally buying someting. It also has tons of educational apps. I actually had the chance to test one of these out in a Walmart store and it is pretty cool. My daughter is going to love it!
  22. I'm sorry, but they just pricecd themselves out of a potential sale..I would have considered it at 250.00-275 but not any higher since you can get some pretty nice tablets for wel below 329.00.
  23. I hope this year they do allow for BF layaway. That would help me out a lot..I could make the money I have available for that day streatch a little farther and I can keep the gifts hidden without fear that they will be found (well at least until the 14th..lol).
  24. I forgot to mention that pretty much everywhere I've looked it got great reviews (other than those that are comparing it to the iPad, which it is not and it is not near the price either). I spent 2-3 months researching it. It is now on layaway at Walmart..lol. You can download all the Amazon apps, Netflix, I believe Hulu Plus, and as someone else mentioned you can pay 3.00 per month for tons of kid safe movies and tv shows. This is probably one of the gifts that I am most excited to give in a long time..lol.
