In the ad it says B2G1 Free on all pre-owned products. My daughter is wanting a Wii and my boys are wanting a PS3. Are those included in that special. I have seen this offer in the past but have never tried to buy systems.

This is the first year that I am allowing my daughter go with me Black Friday shopping. I am going to ask my parents to watch her while we go to Walmart (I just feel it is too dangerous) and then I will pick her up and let her go with me to Belk's, Target, and anywhere else. I am hoping my husband will also go with us since this is the first year that he only has to work Monday and Tuesday. My boys will go with me to Walmart because they want to look at a few things that are on sale.

I have a question about the 32" smart Tv (roku) in the Walmart ad. We currently have a streaming online option through our cable company which requires a Roku to stream. Since this is powered by Roku do you think this would this work?

I woke up expecting to see that Walmart's ad had been released. Come on Walmart! Oh well. I hope it is worth the wait.

I also agree with some of the others. A superhero Black Friday shirt would be cool! -
The deal on the trampoline is pretty good. I know that Walmart usually has a 14 foot for around 160. This is a 15 foot for 199. This is what my 9 year old daughter has said she wants more than anything else, even after I told her that if she gets a trampoline that is probably all she will get. I am afraid that Walmart will open around 4pm this year and I am just not sure if I can get in line early enough for the trampoline. What do ya'll think? Is it worth $ 40-50 more?

1. Approximately how many years have you been shopping on Black Friday? 12 2. Do you plan to spend more, less or the same amount of money during Black Friday week this year? less 3. Do you plan on shopping online during Black Friday week this year? possibly 4. How many people do you plan on shopping with on Black Friday this year? Just depends. I may need my husband and boys to go with me to Walmart so they can stand in line for TVs and I think I am going to allow my 9 year old daughter to go with me BF shopping this year (not to Walmart though, it will be after the initial opening of all stores) 5. If you could make stores change one thing about Black Friday besides opening times, what would it be? Walmart is still probably one store that needs some more changes. For the last two years they have blocked most of the smaller aisles making it nearly impossible to move through the store. They basically made one big long line up to the front. So, if you are just trying to get to an item on the other side of the store, they have made it very difficult. I also believe that it is a major fire hazhard. -
How much stuff do you buy for yourself during Black Friday
starbeck96 replied to msyves's topic in 2015
I usually buy a few kitchen items (which I consider for everyone since it helps me cook ). I did buy towels and bathcloths last year because we only had 8 towels left, but once again I consider that a purchase that benefits everyone. I hardly ever buy anything for myself and if I do it is usually some kind of clothing that I need. -

I really wanted to take advantage of Walmart's layaway this year. However, since the each item has to be at least 10.00 it ruled out most of my daughter's stuff. So far she has wanted My Life clothes and a few accessories and Barbie accessories. I think I have only bought two items more than 10.00 and I think they were 12 each. I had hoped that they would allow me to put the stuff for 9.97 on layaway, but they said no it had to be 10.00 after tax! Kind of crazy. I honestly think they shouldn't have a minimum amount per item. I wish that Walmart would bring back their layaway all year and with no restrictions (other than maybe groceries). I used it all the time for clothes and it would really help for birthdays.

Thanks ya'll. I will probably just stick with Windows OS and then download Mozilla (since that is what we are used to anyway). My sister said her sister in law has a chrome book and she didn't like it.

My daughter told me that she wants her own laptop for Christmas. She will be 9 next month so she doesn't need anything fancy. It will mostly be used to play kids games online and to watch Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube. I have noticed that laptops that run Chrome seem to be a little cheaper. I've never had a laptop that runs Chrome. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on chrome operating system?

What's everyone's #1 Black Friday item on your list so far?

Now besides TVs, a trampoline, and streaming devices I will be looking for a new laptop. My daughter told me yesterday (and again today) that she wants her own laptop. I will consider netbooks for her as well, but if the price for a laptop is close to a netbook, then I will go with a laptop. I know Walmart always has one around the 200.00 mark so I will be looking at one for that or less. She will basically use it to play online kids' games so it won't have to be anything fancy -
I am like some of the others. My favorite memories are when the sales started around 5:00 AM on FRIDAY morning. My friend and I would get to Walmart around 3:00. We would talk and have a good time. Then, we would leave our small town and head close to Atlanta and shop all day long. I think the worst memory is three years ago. I took my husband with me (who is not a big shopper) and who hates crowds. I love my husband very much but he is not a fun BF partner. It was so boring. The only reason he went is because I didn't have anyone to go with me and he wanted to go to guitar center for their sale. I really wish they would go back to the early morning times on Friday!

I have not started yet, but hope to start soon. My daughter's birthday is in October and I have almost finished her birthday shopping. I have been on the lookout for possible Christmas gifts, but not yet bought anything. I am hoping to get a camo jacket for each of the kids in the next two weeks since those usually sell out fairly quickly. I would say about 90% of Christmas shopping will be done Black Friday week. Most of the stuff that my kids have even mentioned are things that I know go on sale then.

I am glad to hear that with the Fire you can use xbox controllers. Does this include xbox 360 controllers? We are looking into getting a streaming device for possibly 3 TVs. We will be getting Amazon Prime (since hubby has gone back to school and can get it for 50.00/year). So, I thought if we are going to have prime, then the Fire TV or Fire Stick would probably be a better option for at least one or two of the TVs. Do any of the streaming devices have parental controls? If so, we may even consider getting one for my daughter.

I also remember Walmart's first Secret Saturday sale. I agree with another poster, that it was so secret that even the employees didn't know about it. I have to say that those were kind of the good days. We live in a small town and at that time most didn't follow any kind of black friday website or anything. If it wouldn't have been for gottadeal, I wouldn't have known about it either. I don't even remember what was on sale or what I bought but I remember it being a lot of fun sitting there with the 5 or 6 people and talking with the employees and trying to help them know what was going on.

We are thinking about getting a bigger TV for the living room as a "family" gift this year. Right now we have a 32" in there. We would love to have a bigger TV in there and then my husband and I would take the 32" for our room since we don't have a TV in here. We are also planning on buying a 32" TV for our boys' room. We will probably just be looking for the cheapest models.

I agree with some of the others. I believe Disney Infinity Starwars will be big. I wonder if any of the gaming systems will be big this year. I don't remember there being any big deals on the Wii U last year ( I think it was fairly new).

Layaway starts Aug. 28 for Walmart. I saw the signs today

My 8 year old is wanting a trampoline. So, I am hoping they will be under 160.00 BF (and I believe they usually are). She has also mentioned a basketball goal, so I may get her one. I would really like one of the nicer ones, but we will see. She wants a WiiU, but after getting her an XBox last year and 3DS year before, I realize that she is just not big on video games, so I hate to spend that kind of money. My boys really have not said anything they want other than airsoft guns..lol. They are 17 and they said that they really want that so they can shoot each other..lol. Crazy boys. Of course, they have also said that they want clothes. I also want to get them a new TV and a Roku for their room. My husband and I also need a TV and Roku for our room. I am hoping to get some good deals on TVs And we may decide to get a bigger TV for the living room and us take that TV (out of living room) for our room.
