the Christmas I remember best is the one when I figured out that there was no Santa. We had all gone to Walmart (me, my sister, and mom and dad). I saw my dad and Walmart associate with a bike. I remember hearing it clicking. I asked my dad what they were doing and he told me that there was something wrong with it and they were taking it in the back to fix it. I was already having my doubts so I was not so sure my dad was telling me the truth..lol. Well, Christmas Eve night, I heard a click, click, click. lol. I peeked around the corner and there was my mom and dad putting the bike under the tree... Another memory I have is being drug around to 2 or 3 places on Christmas Day. So this is why we only have Christmas dinner with my husband's family and it is at our house. Another memory I have is having so many gifts that my sister and I got tired of opening them. While I would love to spoil our kids, we don't have the money. But, I think it is for the best. The gifts that they ask for are things that they truly want or need. When they open it, they actually use it for a long time.. Another thing I remember is that we always got to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve. I have continued this tradition with my kids, but have modified it..We let the kids open 1 gift each and it is usually PJ's for my daughter and jogging pants for the boys. I usually put a DVD or game in there with them also...

I've not heard of several of them..lol.

My boys are 14 and they are getting smartphones (which I am sure is out of your budget). But, we are also getting both of them gift cards to Aeropostale, one of them American Eagle, and one of them to Old Navy. My kids also love music, as most do, so maybe an itunes gift card. You could always put the gift cards in a box (which I plan on doing) so they will have something to open. If you really want to get them a gift, I agree with another post to get them headphones. I got some for my 6 year old daughter at Big Lots on sale for 6.00 (regularly 8.00). I took them out of the box to make sure they fit her tablet and they sounded great. My husband is very picky about headphones and he said they sounded good. If you know what kind of clothes they like you can do that. I know Aeropostale is having a pretty good sale right now. If I were not out of money, I would be stocking up on the $5.00 shirts. I also agree that most teens like hoodies. My boys love them and have 3 or 4 and are wanting more...lol.

I got the Nabi 2 Tablet at Walmart Thursday night. I have already taken it out of the box, set it up, and added the amazon app to it. I must say that I am impressed. It is just as fast as they advertised and so far it has been very easy to set up. I love it. So for those of you still not sure about the Nabi 2, I am just letting you know that so far it exceeds my expectations...

At our Walmart they started arguing over the towels and sheets about an hour and half before the sale even started..lol. So, a deputy sheriff had to go over there and stand guard..when the sale started an employee handed the towels and sheets out. Each person was allowed two towels and one sheet set... They did this because last year someone pulled a knife.

Our Walmart had the games out, but they were still wrapping everything up to keep people out. I don't think that they were allowing anyone to get them.

I only have one that I won last year. I am hoping next year I will have the money to buy one... Anyway, I will be wearing mine when I head out to go BF shopping with my cousin's wife...I wonder how many strange looks I will get???!!! We are in a small town and I really doubt that many people take BF shopping as seriously as I do. I doubt that they keep up with gottadeal.com throughtout the year and then in August start reading all about BF...lol.

Thank you...I may give it a shot. It will save me about 4.00 by buying it from them since I won't have to pay city/county taxes...

I will be in our local Walmart around 5:00 p.m. for the 8:00 sales. Then, we will leave our small little town and drive 45 minutes to go to all the other stores..

Well, the Nabi is still showing full price and is still available online The Madden 2013 game is showing available in stores only though.

Well, I am slightly disappointed. I went to bed around 9:00 CST and set my alarm for 2:00. I was hoping that Nabi would go on sale. I know that it is on sale at Best Buy already, but I've never bought anything from them online so I am scared that if I buy it, they will then send me an email later, that they made a mistake and they didn't have any in stock and giving me a refund...lol. Then, it will too late to get one from Walmart. I really wish Amazon would put them on sale. Oh well. I will be checking constantly since I am up anyway cooking a turkey. I do have my alarm set on my phone though in case I doze off...lol.

I think they are gone. I clicked on the "estimate arrival time" and it said not available. So, I wonder if that means that they are gone.

Your husband sounds like mine...lol. This happened to me last year (except I always went with a friend). He went with me to Walmart and then we drove an hour and a half and waited on the next store to open. I was bored to death...lol. I love my husband and we have a good time together, but he was no fun BF shopping...lol. He hated it. He said it was his first and his last year. He is going to Walmart with me for the 8:00 sale but he doesn't mind that so much. I would definitely tell him to just stay with you. I would also take him an mp3 player or video games (whatever he likes). Take snacks and treat him to a good breakfast...lol. Make sure he dresses for the weather (if you are goin to be outside waiting).

I am so mad at myself...lol. I use prepaid cards online. I started to put the money on the card last night while I was at Walmart, but I didn't. So, now I don't have a way to order the Nabi..lol. DH and I share a car and he is at work..I am going to call my sister a little later (when she gets up) and see if she will go put money on it.. Hopefully it will still be on sale. If not, I am hoping that Amazon will put it on sale sometime today..

How reliable is Best Buy as far as ordering online. I would hate to buy this online and then get an email saying they were out of stock. Then I would miss out on the Nabi 2. Thanks....

Yeah, we have one on layaway also. I am just wondering if they will lower the price if you have it on layaway since that is their policy. The ad just says while supplies last, it doesn't give a specific time that it ends unless it is in the fine print (I can't see it..lol). I am still not taking a chance though. I am going to try to get it Thursday night. I am planning on going at 5:00. We live in a small town so that should be plenty early enough..

My thing is that most of their sale items say while supplies last. So, I would think that they would have to honor it if you already have it on layaway. I know that in our store if something is on sale BF and they sale it in the stores, then they will put them up alot of times until after the sale is over. This way you can't price match. Last year though, we were able to get the Disney books from the shelf for $ 5.00 as they were advertised.

So will they honor their own ad. I have a Nabi 2 on layaway but BF they are 70.00 cheaper. Also, it is an 8:00 Thursday night sale. but there is no time limit listed. It just says while supplies last. I think I will just pick it up Thursday night. Then, I will go to the store where my layaway is, and pay that one off as well. Maybe they will honor it for 129.00. Then I will just take one back or see if someone else wants it (for the same price) because I'm sure that there may be some that won't be able to get one. I don't want to lose my 5.00 gift card..lol. Even if I call and ask about it, I still can't trust that what they say...There are always those employees that don't know what they are talking about, especially this time of year when so many are either newly hired or temporary.

I don't know. I know in the past, at our Walmart, it has varied for electronic items that were not ticketed. The year they had the DS Lites on sale, I believe they were on a pallet. Then one year they had some stuff behind the counter. I guess it depends on how many they have in stock too... I think I would have a better chance with them being on a pallet, unless they make you form a line at the counter and don't allow anyone to jump in front. I am really hoping that Amazon price matches sometime that day or Walmart puts it on sale that morning online. I put money on a prepaid debit card so if either put it online I would be set. I am not looking forward to trying to grab one at the store. I am also hoping that since it is kind of new on the market that alot of people around here won't really know what it is....wishful thinking...

I was really hoping they were going to be a ticketed item. I really hope they have more than a few of these. I am planning on being at Walmart by 5:00 so I can scope things out and see where everything is, and also find out how many they have....

I was just looking at the Walmart BF ad again and noticed that under the Nabi 2 it says "available in our electronics department". I am hoping this means that they have a good many of them available. I am really hoping that this is not a free for all grab...
