  1. I am fairly impressed! So glad to see the Xbox 360 for 99.00! The Samsung Tablet and Ipad is also a great deal.
  2. WE have several HDMI ports on our TV so that part won't be a problem. Thank you for your help. Decisions! Decisions! LOL What are the chances that Amazon would put their Fire TV on sale?
  3. Thank you everyone for your help! I will have to do a little research. WE don't currently have Amazon Prime but are planning on getting it soon. I have 50.00 worth of Amazon gift cards that I've won by doing surveys and other stuff, so if they don't have anything else that I need, I may use the GC to get that. Another thing I have to research is the difference between all of the Roku's.. They have so many different kinds.
  4. I am really hoping that it is tonight. It has always been the first store we visit. I am really hoping for a deal on an Xbox 360 w/Kinect or just a great deal on the Xbox 360 itself. I would love to see the Xbox 360 around 99.00 or a bundle for 140.00! That is the main thing on my list.
  5. We are thinking about getting a media streaming device as a gift for the entire family. I heard Bigjimslade say that he prefers Roku. I've heard many others say the same thing as well. Can someone tell me if there are any free channels and if so what kinds?
  6. 1. I hope to have at least 600.00 to spend but it depends on my husband's work. 2. We usually go to Walmart, Belk's, Target, Goody's, Martins, and I need to go to Pet Smart this year. We visit several other stores as well. I would say around 10-15 stores total! 3. I didn't buy anything online last year, but, if I see I can get a deal online earlier, then I may. It just always scares me that my item will show in stock and then I'll get an email saying that they are out.. So, I prefer going into the store.
  7. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Xbox-360-4GB-Slim-Console-w-Accessories-/321204062040?pt=Video_Games&hash=item4ac9410758 It would be a gift for all 3 of the kids.
  8. I probably do about 85-90% of my Christmas shopping BF. The rest is done right before Christmas. I buy what I am not able to find on BF.
  9. We don't have a Kmart near us anymore, but by looking at this ad, it gave me an idea of what Walmart and Target will have BF and their prices. Their Xbox was 129 I think and I believe that they were 30-50 more than Walmart last year. So crossing my fingers that Walmart will have it for 99 (wishful thinking would be 79.00)
  10. Thank you. My boys don't really play any fighting games, they mostly play sports games. But, I think I will do some research into it. I don't want something that they are always going to run out of space.
  11. As I mentioned before, I am planning on getting my kids an Xbox 360. My daughter will use it mostly for stuff like Kids Dance, Kinect Sports, etc. (I am hoping for a good deal on the Kinect as well). My boys will use it mostly for Sports games. They may get one Call of Duty game. It looks like it is going to be a slim Christmas, so I am trying to use what I will have to get as much as possible. Do you think the 4GB will be enough for those type games? I believe that the 4 GB is usually cheaper.
  12. For some reason I can't post a link. I will try to add the link later. It is one Anna and one Elsa dress to fit American girl dolls. My daughter would love it!
  13. Probably Auburn/Opelika, AL but not sure yet I have about 5 different cities within 1 1/2 hours. They all have mostly the same stores, but a few different ones as well. What city will depend on what each store has
  14. Congratulations to the winners!!
  15. 1. Walmart 2. Both 3. As much as I hate to say it---- 4:00 P.M. Thursday
  16. I completely agree! It was terrible last year at our Walmart. They had set it up so that there was one main line going to the registers. The problem was, that line was right in the middle of the store. I had items to get at 2 of the sales times last year so I was there a good 6 hours total. It was nearly impossible to get around our store. I was not there to get toys at all. Most of the younger parents were there only to get toys and of course they were the ones who brought their young children. It would have made a huge difference if all toy items would have been on sale several hours later than everything else. I believe it would have helped the crowd by at least 25%!
  17. My daughter got the Nabi 2 tablet two years ago. She really doesn't play with it very often. But, my husband uses it nearly every day. I will have about 50.00 in Amazon gift cards in the next two weeks. So, I am thinking about using it to get him a tablet. I am thinking about the Samsung or Kindle Fire. I am hoping to spend as little extra as possible. I've heard nothing but good things about the Samsung. I've heard mixed reviews on the Kindle. He really wouldn't use it for anything but getting on youtube. Would either of the tablets be good for this?
  18. I've been a member since 2009. I have been BF shopping much longer. I come to this site throughout the year when I am looking for a good sale on a needed item. My favorite time is definitely BF though. I love being able to get the ads early. I also love the forums and being able to talk to others about items I am considering and finding out if it is truly a good deal or not.
  19. Walmart is at the top for me since that is the only store in my area. I love Amazon as well, but it is hard to get those lightning deals..lol Target is probably my 3rd. This year all of my kids want at least a few items of clothing, so Belk's ad looks pretty good as well.
  20. I do dislike the Thursday openings. I prefer the early Friday mornings. I miss going and standing in the line, talking with other BF shoppers, while waiting for the store to open. When it as on Fridays, it was crowded, but not nearly as crowded as it is now. There are also more younger children out who are tired, ill, and crying (who can blame them). There are also more teens out. I have teens of my own, and if they wanted to go BF shopping that would be fine. However, mine know how to behave themselves. Most of the teens that are in the stores are rude and disrespectful. Now, we also have to deal with grocery shoppers! For the past few years there have actually been people in Walmart with a full buggy of groceries!!!! I do not like being out all night!!! We used to have Thanksgiving dinner around 5:00 in the evening. Then, we would finish around 8:00. I would get out all my ads and look at them again (because I was just so excited!!). Then, I would take about a 3 hour nap, getting up around 1:00 A.M., pack a couple of drinks and snacks, and head out the door (everyone knew not to expect me home until at least 5 or 6 the next evening)! Now, we've had to move our Thanksgiving dinner up to around 11:00 or 12:00 and I have to leave the house around 3:00 (which may end up being earlier this year depending on what time Walmart opens) and go deal with all the babies and toddlers and others just there to see the madness. I have to stay up all night and still don't get home until at least 1:00 the next afternoon!
  21. Thankfully, while our Walmart is crazy crowded, we've not really had a ton of violence. Several years ago they had a fight over towels. From them on, we've had police presence. It has really helped. For the past two years a police officer, sheriff deputy, or reserve officer stood near the towels. If I remember correctly they also had other items that people tend to fight over there near the towels. One year one lady started cussing and carrying on over toys. An officer politely escorted her out and she was not allowed to re-enter. I believe they said last year a police officer actually handed out the towels. Each person was allowed 2 towels. We do live in a small town and Walmart is the only major retail store. So, it is very crowded, but I do feel safe there.
  22. Real tree for us. We have been buying our real trees from the same man for the past 10 years, I believe, except for one year when we couldn't afford to buy one and we borrowed a fake one. We love the smell of a real tree and how it looks. My daughter has a fake tree of her own though. It is a small 4 foot tree with fiber optic lights. IT also rotates. She puts in her room.
  23. I would love to get our tree up the weekend before BF, but it will depend on how much money we have since we always get a real tree. If not then, it will probably be the weekend after BF.
