I only see Sports games....
-
Maybe would go for the camera deals. Might get a few PS3 games too. Nothing to get excited about and expected better but if I go out on BF I guess I'll be at Best Buy unless Frys can do better...
-
I thought the high traffic was due to the Best Buy ad being posted...

Ok if I chose to online shop how fast does the product get shipped to me? If I buy something online on BF will it get to me before the 5th of Dec?

What should I look for in a digital camera (point and shoot)
JohnnyLaRue replied to lovebears65's topic in 2009
English Marc!!! ENGLISH!!! I'm just happy I can put the memory card into my netbook and put the photos there. Or I print them at Target insta-print kiosk. Editing is not a concern for me. -

TY but now I am more confused! I don't print all the pictures as I keep them mostly digital and I print out a select few for my travel book. The zoom on my Japanese camera rocks. No complaints there. It also takes video. So I should just keep what I have? if was to get a new one what is decent? I am currently looking in my Consumer Reports magazine on models to get an idea. ** I want a camera that is lightweight, user friendly, and does not eat batteries, video taking is a plus, -
I can't afford to be sick as the customs people in Europe and Russia would not be amused when I go there in December. My main gf told me her country will quarantine you if you show flu like symptoms upon arrival. I don't think swine flu victims will be standing in line or shopping as they are too sick to be doing so. But better safe than sorry. And shame on that clinic for charging $20.

What should I look for in a digital camera (point and shoot)

I have a 7MP digital camera I got for 7000 yen in Akihabra (Japan) 2 years ago. I like it as it is lightweight and has lots of features. At the time it was current (well not in Japan hence the deal) I also got them to throw in a rechargable AA battery pack (charger and batteries) for free. :) Dunno if it is worth upgrading to a 10 or 12mp as I do travel and take photos but happy with my current camera. I'm not a pro photographer and don't like carrying a camera around with me. I just like taking photos for my pleasure and maybe fwd a few to friends. Looking at the BF ads and not sure if I should get one. -
Nothing yet. Hoping for something good though :)

TY for the ad. The Westinghouse TV is only 720p right? Not 1080. I've had a 32" Westinghouse HDTV for 3 years now and it works just fine. No complaints (thats the one I got for $35 on BF, where they gave me an instant rebate and I got home and found out it was really a mail in rebate so I got two rebates of $200 plus used my gift card and got another $50 off). Overall nothing in the ad I would stand in line for. It's up to Best Buy to get me shopping on BF I guess.

TY. Looking for Jets stuff and figured a Sanchez jersey was a possibility as he was from USC and we get the Jets games on Sundays.

I like the waffle maker as well but my question is on the NFL jersey (and NCAA clothes) do they say what teams are available? I assume living near L.A I will get Bolts and Raider stuff. Am I better off to shop online and hope they have a better selection? Not sure if its worth a trip as the waffle maker will be long gone by afternoon...

I am intrigued, when do you start waiting in line? I am slightly close to Simi. Ok not that close but the closest compared to the rest of the posts

Some places are like a hockey game on Boxing Day... Just saying

I figure after Oct 31st the ads will start rolling in. Right? Starting to get a little antsy...

What did you buy from previous BF that you were thrilled with?
JohnnyLaRue replied to katkat777's topic in 2009
Best deal I got was an HDTV that was retail $700. Long story short they gave me the instant rebate on it and when I got home found out it was a mail in rebate so the cashier must have hosed up! I got double the rebate and I used my gift card I had so in all reality I paid about $35 for this TV. -
The strong loonie is a plus. I've got a list with a few things on it/requests from friends. Mostly electronics is what they want. A few DVD box sets too.

Do you think people will sell their tickets this year due to the economy
JohnnyLaRue replied to lovebears65's topic in 2009
I think yes. I know of one person (friends sister) who plans to do this. I debated them about a week ago and she said "Would you rather have me apply for welfare?" I mean yea she lost her job last week but there has to be a better way to get cash. I am usually never at loss for words and can debate quite well but I had no good rebuttal for her. -
I fear the selling of tickets will only get worse this year as people are hurting and unemployed. I can totally see those who are laid off waiting in a line for 4+ days to sell a ticket for $100 or more.

I first thought of Ninja Turtles when I heard shell shocker. Though I do find this thread funny! :) The only funny thing I can add last year is an ex gf's child wanted Miley Cyrus for X-mas. We found a life-size cardboard cutout of her stuck it in a refrigerator box and wrapped it.

Frys maybe BB as the one thing I would like is a nice compact digital video camera.

My 2 kopecs is if the adult child is giving you a gift then I would feel slightly obligated to spend the same amount. I.E: my friend gave his parents a nice sweatshirt of the college he attends. So if I was the parent I would feel obligated to give the adult child an equally nice gift.

I'll go there on Thanksgiving day since I figure nobody else will be there. Besides not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving. Heck I celebrate Thanksgiving the 2nd Monday of October. -
have a Mio (got it on BF years ago) and no complaints. I'd be lost without it!
